Spent 45 years in the body business and never knew anyone who new his way around vehicles of all kinds like you do!! You are definitely my new favorite channel. Love watching all your videos, love the way you mix in personal pieces of your life with the work part. Your living the good life Chris don’t ever stop…you are a Rock Star!!!!
That’s because engines all run the same. Compression, spark and fuel. That alone can take you far. Also he does research before he checks out the car…don’t forget these are produced, edited videos. You don’t see the times he pauses to watch UA-cam to figure something out. Every mechanic I know comes across stuff they never worked on before and they all do research. You just need to have the basic understanding of internal combustion engines and a good can do attitude and you can do exactly what Chris is doing.
Rarely comment but the concrete block under the tire, glad it held. The compressive strength is sitting upright. Lucky the one you use obviously had a high psi rating. Please don’t lay another on its side you might not be so fortunate. 👍🏻
This dude Chris is an awesome mechanic, with a super duper cool wife named Jennifer who seems to like cars, and trucks and boats and mechanics in general,as much as he does.which in my opinion, makes him "A very lucky man"Heck they even have a cool dog named Gus! This is definitely one of my new favorite channels on UA-cam for sure.I really dig how they show you everything and in such a laid back, unassuming way.I hope that they keep on making way more videos and I sincerely hope they both get rich doing it.Godspeed to them 😁
For folks like me that remember when all dry cleaners ran pick-up and delivery routes these panel trucks probably bring back memories. When I was young in the mid-sixties even though our town was small (about 12,000 folks) the main three dry cleaners all ran these panel trucks
the carpet in this rig is called 'sculptured pile'. The guy that designed the PT (Panel Truck) Cruiser for Chrysler also designed the HHR (Heritage High Roof). Little car trivia there.
I thought I was a hard worker lol. After working a ten hour day I like to sit down kick my feet up with a cold beverage watch you in action, amazing for sure. I think you have outgrown your yard and garage, hopefully you get a large shop soon.
I really enjoy watching your channel also , i am a retired Union Pipefitter /Servicefitter HVAC 31 years i used aerokroil for years and that stuff is the best
I'm a shade tree mechanic myself.......BUT....to see you do all of this in the (what i call) extreme cold.....ALONG WITH holding a camera in one hand alot of the times.......wow. my hats off to you my friend! still digging way back on the videos......still loving them! GREAT JOB FROM ARKANSAS
The engine suffix code of "CMJ" comes back as a mid 70's 350CI, The "K" is for St Catherines, Ontario, Canada engine plant. The "05 07" (May 7th), engine assembly day-month code
I had a 1960 Apache 30 series. 144inch. Wheelbase we put a 1976-78 Chevy suburban 4wheel drive chassis fit almost perfect ran a 350LT1,4 speed M21 33 inch. Tire's seven inch lift.she was a bad-ass.my father got mad at me and got rid of everything I owned. She had seven layer's of house paint on her. Back in 1980.preserved the whole body from rusting.I Miss her.great video. Looking forward to see More.
Man just keep doing what you're doing! I'm pretty new to the channel but I have already spent hours watching your stuff. I love your methods and I love how you have most everything with you, ready to do just enough to get these old things to start. Great content and I'm very pleased and impressed 👌🏼
I absolutely love those old Chevy Panel trucks, I'd love to have one myself. Props to you for standing out there in that weather just to hear the motor run again. Every shade tree mechanic knows exactly what it's like to stand out there so long that you can't even feel the nuts and bolts on the truck anymore because your fingers went numb about an hour ago! Let's see part II please.
man that car yard is a content dream come true, love these videos! also my mind is blown at some of the storage spots you have around your truck lolol i feel like you have one of the most interesting lives ever and here for all the videos lol
Man , Chris definitely has a very interesting and full schedule in his life. Would have loved to been able to do half of the things he does. He's like the Steve Irwin of mechanics!
I have to say that your videos are never dull. Back in my late teens I had a chance to get a panel truck (mid 60's, extra long body GMC) but I really didn't have the know how to get it running. Watching you work on this one takes me back to an easier time and I thank you for that. I enjoy the stuff you put out--keep up the good work.
Chris, great videos and I think you're fine with your methods. Pretty sure an engine sitting for 10 years in the back yard is what it is. All the new oil isn't going to save it and the old oil isn't going to hurt it.
Right to the video. No music/intro to waste time. Reasonable length video. Fantastic. New Subscriber. BTW - Lorenzo sent me. Love that 396 build he did for you!
I think we all had that bumper sticker "Shaggin Wagon" on our custom vans😜( J.C Whitney catalog) just about anything to make your van custom! AHH the good ole days🤪🤩🥰
You are my favorite content creator man, your knowledge about just everything is unbelievable. Thank you for always pumping out vids, keeps my mind fresh and going. Would love to see an another update on this but i’m a little late 😅. would love to meet you one day!
No disappointments at all Chris , also I am impressed that you actually use something that will lubricate the valves and cylinders. I always cringe when I see these other channels use brake clean that washes off all oil and all lube! 😠 LOL. Might as well dump sand into the Engine ! Thanks for the videos Chris 💯👍
I always use ATF fluid pull plugs use a straw put in a couple if fills leave set hour or two get a socket on crank bolt just turn maybe a quarter turn again let it set..half hour or so then give it full crank if it will
The brake clean / carb clean is extra retarded when you consider how cheap and easy it is to get a small can of premix 2stroke gas at the hardware store.
Dad bought a '66 brand new for his drywall business. It was a 250 six, 3 on the tree and only a driver's seat, the cheapest model available. He drove it for the last 10 years before retiring. The truck never failed him.
Dude! 19:00 in those gloves are probably real good. All of the good snowboard gloves I have had sound like that. That keeps the glove waterproof and it’s a vapor barrier. Your hands will get sweaty but at least there warm ya know.
Nice to hear you talking about points and dwell. Most young people don't have a clue. My dad bought a '65 Carryall in 1970 and we went everywhere in that thing. On another note, I was at the Barrett-Jackson and saw a convertible '68 Belvedere that had no top, missing all knobs on the dash, tail lights missing, body in round shape, sell for $67,000. That Chevy might be worth something. Let's see you do some more work to it. Get it on the road.
Hi there, fantastic videos am watching on line in the good old UK was a mechanic for the British Military after i finished my service and worked for the British Allied forces In Berlin from 1977 till1994.
Which one? The Fury or yours? Lol. I'll have to order a hat or beanie from ya sometime too. I've been wearing a lot more hats since I'm trying to grow my hair out a little bit and Jen's not having the messy hair.
So I grew up in Oceanside N.Y. LONG ISLAND. My aunt and uncle had a summer camp called Camp DeBaun. They had panel trucks for busses. Very cool vehicles. I always thought they were a great looking truck. You can do so much to them.
Well I've been working on motor vericles for bout 65 years and for what it's worth, there is sweet f.a. I can tell you. You know what you're doing. Plus the lil woman has a nice voice. Cheers.
There is never a shortage of UA-cam critics but ya know, they never share their videos 🤷🏻♂️ Camarata shirt on I see! I just like the video, keep them coming.
Once again I'm impressed with your knowledge and know how, personally you wouldn't find me out in that weather working on anything unless it's in a garage but thanks for your perseverance and getting that thing running 👍☮️
Been watching your channel for about 6 months and love your vids , just watched this one and realized you were doing a video from my neighbors yard 😂 , small world !
My father owned many of this style of panel chevy trucks he called them carry alls his last one was the year you were working on it was a 3 speed on the colum 283 half ton which he beefed up the suspension to carry his fourty Foot of scaffolding and all his tools tucked in I remember replacing 3 transmissions and at least four rear ends thanks for the memory trip when you were under that old girl it reminded me so much of dad 🚌 ❤
Hats off to you( or based on the artic Temps, Hats and gloves on) for your strong will and determination...I'd probably said heck with this when the Sun went down,,, Really enjoy your channel, educational and entertaining
Great fun watching everything you come up with. I’m amazed every time you get something to come alive in like under an hour, which is because you know so much. You and Vice Grip Garage. Best Regards
I found your channel the other week and been binging your vids. Very informative! Love it. Leaning lots watching your experience. Keep it up and looking forward to checking out your older stuff! VERY cool truck!
Awesome video and Content..that last snip it of you on the jet ski in the frozen river was epic..you are a "rockstar" if not a little crazy..but I call it adventure taking.🇺🇸👍😁
I would like to see a part 2! Dam wish I still had my regal, ended up selling it because I couldn't get it start up and sat in my back yard for a out 20 years but it is what it is. Keep up the good work I love all of your videos stay safe
I've watched enough of these types of videos to know you can get almost anything started up as long as the engine isn't locked up. The question is if the vehicle it's in is worth the time and money to do it. Keep up the good work always enjoy watching.
Between you and Mustie1, I'll bet you guys could repair most anything out there that doesn't work... Great videos!!! Thank you for sharingwith us viewers!!!
My foster family had one sitting in their front yard. One of the older kids chased my up it. I jumped off the back to get away and broke my ankle. Always loved that truck until then.
Man! You have found a honey hole! I would love to have that 66. Heck I'd love to have any of the vehicles you've got there. Can't wait to see what's next👍
I don't have any problem with how you're getting these old beasts running. I'm having fun watching your expertise getting these things running. Doesn't make sense to waste oil or other new fluids on something that's going to need major work anyway. This panel has potential for somebody doing a resto mod and spending a ton of money.
Drove cross country in one of those with my family, mom, dad and 3 kids when i was a toddler, no seatbelts, I still have some memories of that epic journey....
We moved from Louisiana to Florida in the mid 80s when i was a kid. The U-haul we rented had a manual trans and both my dad and mom drove that thing across the South. Barely made it up the hills when it was loaded.
Man I'm feeling that day on KZ you got man and forever goes up for sale which I know it probably will never but I still like listening to you still like learning from you man you do a good damn job for me man I don't know about the rest
Looks to be a 62 grill on your truck. Its a 64 or newer truck because it dont have the knee knocker windshield. We have quite a hoard of 60 thru 66 trucks. And have never been able to get a 60 thru 66 pannel truck. Has a 50 chevy sedan delivery and a 56 ford pannel in the past. Eny road I like your videos.
rippa ,this fella has a new video out ,great start to the weekend now i gotta wait for the Mrs to come home from work ,shes workin afternoon shift and then we can both sit down after a long week at work ,love this fella hes the best,MASSIVE DISSAPOINTMENT Chris ,my wife and i are both saddened and shocked as about 10 minutes in word came through that Meatloaf passed away, herer Down Under it seems we are last to know ,we both just love your channel but hearing that news sure was a kick in the guts ,RIP MEATLOAF
Hey when you're the one doing the work who cares what some key board warrior thinks bro you rock you definitely know what your doing I'm a loyal fan now love watching your content. Keep up the good work!
Pretty cool , like you I was never enamored with those panel wagons, but they are getting cooler to me by the day. Hey its your chnl, I enjoy the content and the way you go about things everyone seems to be an expert at commenting I wonder how many guys are really doing this kind of stuff. I seem to be lucky enough to do 2 or 3 a year. Its just kinda cool. Nowadays everyone thinks anything pre 1987 is worth gold...
Bro I'm just so digging your will it runs on these old vehicles ! Cool you mentioned Mortske's and puddings Mortske has that points flick down like nobody's business makes it look easy lol and be careful on that ice ! I want to see part twos to the other videos and more will it runs Godspeed my brother !
Fantastic show and the 66 Chevy panel is a great video! I really like your enthusiasm and energy! You are a great mechanic! I envy your talent! Good stuff, spent most all of the day watching your videos.
Chris, you freakin' wild man! The ice riding at the end was awesome. A screw loose somewhere, but, all good mechanics have that! Definately have to save the panel. In this day and age, I would bet $1200 is way too low, even with the rust. You know what this old iron is bringing. Get on it, man. Part Deux, WOOHOO!

Don't apologize for being you. Screw the haters and Karens. People watch to see you do your thing how you like to do it
Such a great feeling to have the type of toys you have. An even better feeling is having the ability to fix them.
you are the first person I've seen ride a sea doo in the winter, its never crossed my mind. Seems like a great way to shake up the winter blues
Keep on keeping on, great job!

Really got into this channel and I don’t usually sub to people but this dude is just genuine
Right to the video. No music/intro to waste time. Reasonable length video.

I ordered one
My man! Thanks dude, I appreciate the support.
I was thinking when you were saying you'd have it on the road, like what? But, I love your enthusiasm, and it runs very well. No disappointment here.
A man that drinks beer and works on his o n stuff is my type of American hero awesome content
Thanks!
Thanks Graph!
Loved that Chris, that determination to get it running paid off, mad looking interior👍🇮🇪
You do some of the greatest videos on UA-cam man. Keep up the amazing work my friend. And I can't wait until the next one.
Yet another banger. I just know you keep turning these out you’ll eventually get to million subs and quit your job to entertain us full time!!
That'll be the day! Ill just keep cranking them out for now though. Thanks man
So I grew up in Oceanside N.Y. LONG ISLAND. My aunt and uncle had a summer camp called Camp DeBaun. They had panel trucks for busses. Very cool vehicles. I always thought they were a great looking truck. You can do so much to them.
I have to say, the "I-V" for gravity fed gas to get it started is BRILLIANT !
Well I've been working on motor vericles for bout 65 years and for what it's worth, there is sweet f.a. I can tell you. You know what you're doing. Plus the lil woman has a nice voice. Cheers.

Hello from New Zealand we love your views especially my 7 years boy Sam. Keep it up

Been watching your channel for about 6 months and love your vids , just watched this one and realized you were doing a video from my neighbors yard 😂 , small world !
Haha, wow that's funny! Small world indeed. Appreciate you checking the videos out. Thanks so much for the support
Really enjoyed this, I lived in a 63 panel truck for 2 years in Lake Tahoe in the early 70s, good times !!!
Hats off to you( or based on the artic Temps, Hats and gloves on) for your strong will and determination...I'd probably said heck with this when the Sun went down,,, Really enjoy your channel, educational and entertaining
have never seen one before but feel yes will run after sitting 20 years and think it is rare panel.👍👍

People will always find something to b*tch about, can’t keep everyone happy man keep doing what you’re doing 💪🏼😁
See something, say something.
Goats and classic cars, living the dream right there!
Man! You have found a honey hole! I would love to have that 66. Heck I'd love to have any of the vehicles you've got there. Can't wait to see what's next👍
Yes part two yes yes you do awesome work brother I'm surprised you don't get any sponsors from all the stuff that you show keep it up
The old 350 sounds really good. Would be cool to see it back on the road for sure.
I don't have any problem with how you're getting these old beasts running. I'm having fun watching your expertise getting these things running. Doesn't make sense to waste oil or other new fluids on something that's going to need major work anyway. This panel has potential for somebody doing a resto mod and spending a ton of money.
Another great job Chris..definitely wanna see a part 2
Been watching some of ur older videos of the ones I never saw before I subscribed. They are always awesome..
Thanks so much for subscribing and checking the videos out!
You need to get yourself a videographer to free up both hands to do the good work that you do. Mad love from Papua New Guinea ❤❤
I agree with your method. Let the haters, hate….don’t change what you’re doing…it’s working. Blessings
You have a great talent for mechanics, I enjoy your show.
Drove cross country in one of those with my family, mom, dad and 3 kids when i was a toddler, no seatbelts, I still have some memories of that epic journey....

And have never been able to get a 60 thru 66 pannel truck. Has a 50 chevy sedan delivery and a 56 ford pannel in the past. Eny road I like your videos.
👍👌👏 Uuuuuh, I like this panel van. Hope it becomes part of the show.

Nowadays everyone thinks anything pre 1987 is worth gold...
if you have ever driven one of those panel trucks then you will know they don't handle for shit, even though they look cool.
Man, that panel truck is sweet!
Great video man the wholes in the quarter were old school body work meant for a slide hammer to pull dents out
I swear you can ANYTHING to crank. Good job. Can’t wait for part2. Like the shirt.
Great video my friend. I heard you mention Chrysler, I lived near the Chrysler factory in paisley scotland. Keep up the great work 👍 regards. Paul.
Fantastic show and the 66 Chevy panel is a great video!
I really like your enthusiasm and energy! You are a great mechanic! I envy your talent!
Good stuff, spent most all of the day watching your videos.
Ok you are nuts jet ski and ice !! but I say looked hella fun 🤩
