I love it that Logan takes a whiff of the crack pipe. Too funny.
Some habits are hard to break "hobbies" even harder.
idk maybe he wanted to be sure it was a crack pipe and not like a tiny itsy bitsy mouse sized bong... XD you know for them pothead mice that chill in the sewers.
Cocaine (I’m assuming crack as well, but I have no experience) has a very distinctive smell to it
Love the snappy acceleration of those old patrol cars.
Those Dodge Diplomats had some brute engine power.
Most of the patrol cars in NYC and other tightly packed cities had small V8s or V6s. I think NYC had suitable pursuit vehicles for the West Side Highway and other highways around the city. Saving a few miles per gallon was a huge savings on their budget using smaller engines. There was really no need for a high powered cruiser on Manhattan streets due to traffic volume and conditions. The 90s Chevy Caprice 9C1 and Ford Crown Vics were valued for their durability and ease of repairs. The 94 to 96 Chevy Caprice were equipped with 4.3 V6s, a 4.8 V8 I believe and a 5.7 V8 based on the Corvette engine but it made 260 horses and good torque, about 340 lbs/ft.
Fun gearhead fact~ the 94-96 Caprice with the 5.7 had the best, cheap modification good for about 15 more horses. The top of the air intake had a hole in the plastic that decreased the airflow which reduced power. The first mod gearheads do is insert a hockey puck into the hole which fits perfectly!
@@johndrake2729 The Dodge Diplomats in NYC mostly used Slant Sixes for regular patrol cars early on, some had the 318/5.2 V8. They may have had pursuit/highway cruisers with the 360/5.9 V8s. That was probably the mid 70s to mid 80s. Late 60s I'm sure had those juicy 400 and 440 mills. NYC had huge budget problems in the 70s and 80s so they had to find ways to reduce gas consumption, especially on such a gigantic fleet for the police department alone. Those Chrysler Slant Sixes were bulletproof as far as durability though.
One more thing, I promise.
The gearing for those cars were perfect for the city. Quick off the line, so 4.11 gears would be my guess. Compared to a state police highway cruiser, those would have 3.08 maybe even lower allowing for a higher top speed, 140 mph plus.
@@johndrake2729 Sorry about geeking out here. This pandemic sucks.
The Dodge Diplomat/Monaco and Plymouth Fury/Polara were absolute beasts in the late 60s and early 70s used by State Police departments. The Michigan State Police has a very rigorous testing program for cruisers built by the big 3. Great videos of how they test them. The final word on best police cruiser came from the CHP which was a massive customer for Detroit. They deemed the 1970 Plymouth/Dodge cruisers with the 440 engine the best ever. Officers said those cars could run at 140 mph till it ran out of gas and could do it again the next day no problem.
"Is he going to wake up?"
"The nurses pool says no."
"How much is in it?"
"30 bucks."
"if they were sure, it would be at least a hundred."
Every single version of the L&O cast was hilarious in its own way.
Some of the best writing I've seen. And to do it this long is just amazing.
21 years now with a 10 year break.
Great show that really encompasses a lot of different time periods of Americana. Especially New York
NYPD Blue also. Hill Street Blues is another excellent show.
And it's coming back. Yeah!!! 21st season. First show to bypass Gunsmoke in number of years on air.
"There so many crime in New York... nobody never should live here..."- Jake Peralta
Ya not enough cops , and over half of all precents are either bad, on the take , or don't do there job properly, and they are Trigger Happy, shoot first , then find out what happened , then it's to late , oh ya they are good lier,s?
"His underpants were on backward."
That is very odd, indeed.
Magic underwear.
@@tmseh I've done that a few times not going to lie.
@@taramullen6521 I've gone into work with my pull over shirt on backwards. 🤣
@@taramullen6521 most if my boys are grown and some if then doi it too regularly.
The funny thing is my husband did that the other day,he was in the hurry didnt even noticed..
Always loved the winter's episodes..NYC is simply wonderful and lovely when covered with snow
Thats not snow, that is crack.
The original is still the best show. I hate that it’s so hard to find it on reruns in any kind of order.
This show, NYPD Blue and Hill Street Blues also. Netflix really needs to add these.
I know 😏
Street crime episodes always have the best openings
5:36 "You broke my heart, Fredo--you BROKE MY HEART!"
"Aw, Mike, Moe didn't mean nothing by it!"
@@starguy2718 "Fredo, you're my brother, and I love you very much. But never take sides against the family in business again. NOT EVER."
There inside a hospital and not wearing any gloves while checking hobos clothing
It's NYC. Just walking down the sidewalk used to be what is now called herd immunity.
I thought that too
Not gonna lie- first thing I thought too.
@@devin_nyc6087 ME too
Probably a continuity error. It happens in this show. Doesn't bother me bc the show is so well executed
Whenever people bolt when cops turn up or get asked questions by them, I find it kind of funny seeing them bolt like scared rabbits.....
this does happen irl though.
You mean animals with guns .I'll run from the devil too
@@tiasmith1972
run from this...

when the suspect asks for his lawyer he's guilty.
@@tuckergary1516 That's my first instinct too, that the suspect is guilty if they ask for their lawyer.
Finally Lenny appears!
I need to start buying this on DVD I miss this show.
Yep. Nothing can top it.
John Drake no no no
Street crime in New York? Oh, so a Tuesday
Omg! Gloves!
I really should buy Law & Order DVDs. I’m absolutely hooked!
Squeaky McBeal no dont its to mature for your age dear
Who'd wanna knock boots in a dark alley in one of the worst parts of Gotham City 😂😂😂
My first thought.
Anyone else remember Tawana Brawley, Nov 1987?
BRISCO!!
The first 15 seconds just creeped me out
Same
4:40 is that a crewman on the right side of the screen with a mic boom, near the street? at first I thought it was a character holding a long rifle, but I think it might be a mic boom with a fluffy wind screen on the end of the mic
ahah just wrote same thing and came to see if anyone else saw same
Yeah for sure. Good catch.
No. It's the dope dealer who witnessed Fredo murdering the guy. He was in the lineup and asked for witness protection still in that red leather jacket.
"Like a pipe. It left criss-cross patterns on the wounds"
So... like rebar.
Ah! My dog found a dead man, so let me run away screaming and leave my dog to chow down on the corpse!
She was a terrible actress too
I mean….how did you want her to react?!
@@defunctdefunctdefunct At least run away WITH the dog. My point is that she just abandons her dog.
@ 4:39 Sound guy on the right side of the shot picking up nat sound of running. Nice!
Nice catch!
First time seeing Orbach on these clips. You've left out Sorvino, though.
Lenny Brisko made L&O I think one of the reasons it was cancelled was because he was so good it was not the same without him
No, NBC wouldn't renew the show.
John Astin in the second scene!!!!
Nice to know he had a hobby 😂😂
They're digging in that bloodied dudes pockets... the idiocy is intense
A lot of dogs find bodies or unconscious people in this show
I Know NYC Very Well! But It’s Too Dangerous Long Time Ago!
8:55 That nurse is a champ!
Is that a sound/boom guy at 4:39? XD
Omg I saw it 😂 lol
4:39 dont mind the guy in red to the right with the boom stick in his hand. Totally a coincidence
Love to see lenny
4:40 is that a guy with boom mic in the shot?
Do season 4-5 next pls
They just dig right into that bag
Digging through guys clothes without gloves, no thank you.
No leash law in Central Park?
Don't move Dont even breathe
Thar couple in the begining, um wtf? Like ya'll know youre out in public right?
So many dogs, finding bodies... must be a New York thing, or something.
What was the last episodes name we need more of the last one☝🏻☝🏻
DarkBeauty813 Season 1 Episode 11 “Out of the Half Light”
@@harryguntheroth5848 😁 THANKS 😁😁
Powerful episode. Robinette cleaned house in that one.
Great episode. Still very applicable
@@harryguntheroth5848 what's the name of this law and order episode on 7:16
For a second I was confused before I realized it was a compilation. Yes I’m high
No gloves in the hospital while sorting through a hobo's clothes, no complaints about the stench and filth, and Briscoe finds "a couple of grand in twenties" he only deals with high roller hoboes.
What episode/ season is the last one from
A couple grand? In 20's? I think not.
In the old days crooks stopped cause getting shot COULD happen in our NY streets...
The good old days
At 7:11 is it just me or did that dead guys eyes flicker slightly?
Which episode was ?
What episode was 5:00?
Woman screams....
Police slowly trot over. 🙄
Obstetrics used to be done with NO gloves back in the day.
extreme!
Even used to be done without the doctors washing their hands. High maternal & infant mortality due to infection. Doc who theorized that washing hands would save lives was mocked & derided horrifically. I think he had a breakdown & died. Before he could be vindicated as absolutely correct
@@DoggieFosters Dr Joseph Lister. At least he's remembered through a random mouthwash
What episode is the last clip?
NYPD Mounted Police Force!
what episode is 6:40 from
what episode is this?
what episode is this
did anyone see the audio guy? 4:38
Omg yes! Great catch
Any chance of getting full episodes
No.
What's the names of these episodes on Law and Order
Yes.
Old police cars looked cooler NGL
He's hurt pretty bad.but he's not dead...so dry...to the book..and his expression. ..like he just want to finish his shift..maybe mounted officers don't usually deal with such serious crimes...
Please look at this. 9:45 to 9:55
Please look at the rest of the episode. She was lying. She wasn't even attacked. Total bullshit.
Law & order 1991
what episode is 8:33 ?
Season 1, episode 11 I think. I think it's based on a real case, or is very similar to one.
@@mackennakelly4413 Seems like the Tawana Brawley case, which turned out to be a fake.
Yep. Fredo nailed the eggplant.
I wish I could see a Royal Canadian mounted police and household Calvary musical rides next year 2023-2024-2025
My heart broke a little, with the young girl refusing to talk or open her eyes, and scrawling "white cops" as her attackers...
She was lying, it wasn't white cops. Someone from her family or something, I can't remember exactly
The 'white cops' turned out to be a lie.
Definitely. Imagine what it would be like for her to talk to more white cops, even though these were trying to help her.
From beginning to end:
1.Volunteers
2. by hooker, by crook
3. Poison Ivy
4. Out of the half-light
Those guys are too lazy to write down the episode names
*Croime*
Were the attackers white cops or were they people dressed up as cops? I need to watch this show more this stuff is crazy!
Neither.
Is this taken from the actual happening when that black girl said she was raped and abused by some white men and it turned out to be false?
1:29 - sure, take out the soiled clothes in the same room where the doctors wash up for surgery. Come on. How lazy was the director here?
Haha he should have just opened up his trench coat and wiggled his hips .. he may have had more luck that way.. got more than just some cash.. could have scored a gobby too
Pretty much Minneapolis in the 2020s.
And who DOESN'T want to get it on in an alley on top of the vomit and rat hair?
Love the last one wasn’t white cops
Totally ridiculous, this would never happen in NYC
You must be nuts to think this never happens in New York
