Mini refugium in saltwater tank sump using sea lettuce. Lower nitrates in saltwater tank with sea lettuce refugium. Finally found the perfect refugium grow light for my saltwater tank sump. A refugium is an area of your sump used to grow algae. The idea is to grow algae in an area of your saltwater aquarium that will outcompete algae in your saltwater tank main display. Using sea lettuce is better than chaeto...it soaks up nitrates faster.

grow all the crap down there 👍even the bad stuff as long as its in your sump it aint in your main tank i even pulled crap from my main display to gro it there with an opposite lighting schedule
