Get rid of hair algae and bryopsis in saltwater tank - FLUX RX - Green Hair Algae Update. This green hair algae will not die. The green hair algae was all over my live rock and walls. I believe the green hair algae explosion was due to adding live rock into my aquarium, which was from KP aquatics...harvested from the ocean.

Kept reef aquariums and coral growth tanks most of my adult life and in my 70’s now. Had to quit about 15 years ago because of health. Had a case of green hair algae in a display tank years ago and used capsules from a fish medicine store. I think they were an anti fungal but cannot remember the name. Took about 2 weeks but killed it all and never came back
