UnReal Psycho I didn't say okay once. You know back in 1977 I was running a Diner In Grand Forks North Dakota and every day old Walter Donahue would come in and say "morning Leo how's the coffee?" And I'd say "hot and black just how you want it Walt." Then one day, it was June 15th at about 6:30am old Walter walked in to the Diner, said his usual and sat down. Now when Walter sat down he was shuffling around in his coat pockets, I said what you looking for Walt? He said "boy have I got a surprise for you." I looked at him and as he pulled out a dark leather book that looked to be about 100 years old and I'm asking " what you got there?" He said nothing just lookedat me with his cataract covered eyes and opened his mouth slightly and grinned. He opened the book whipping the dust away in the air, he read this passage: "Otot ma unto t't old one't nge bathe ma l’oa t't sea yi gnosi,t nge n’ghft." No sooner than he finished, he was gone and all that was left was me and Jimmithy the cook. After all these years no one has believed me and it wasn't like anyone was going to believe that bat shit crazy fucker Jimmithy. After that summer ended I packed up and moved to Nashville and tried not to think about what had happened but every now and again some youngster like yourself will try and interject their nonsense on me but hey that's just my story...how has your weekend? Did you study on the Kabbalah like you promised? What about your ajjaaj and Scarlett Concubine? And lastly don't forget the Khabs are in the Khu, not the Khu in the Khabs.

Well, it's either a pretty dickish joke, or Joe's so good at his character that you have no choice but want to flay that douchebag with a spiked bullwhip. Possibly both; either way, it makes me pissed off and sad.
Joe would understand that Jeff is trying his best and didn’t know Joe wanted to judge the competition so bad. Sometimes things just don’t work out.

If there's one thing MTV knows, it's how to mess up a good thing. Not sure why they added the annoying guy because Joe had it covered perfectly.
It's part of the joke though it's intentionally suppose to be like the network ruined the show but you can tell this was all deliberate as many of joes sketches are. It is funny to see how many people miss that though no offense intended I'm just a massive fan of Joe Pers

I know this is all an act but it really does show you an interesting satire on modern society. We glorify loud and aggressive opinions instead of shutting up and listening to softer spoken facts. Joe Pera in 2020
I adore that he doesn't ever give any ground to cynicism or spite. Even at his most angry, his character and his shows' emphasis are only ever, at harshest, just regretful that things can't be more comfortable and charming.
As an Uber and lift driver I feel like Joe and the passengers are all Jeff

I guess that the funny highlight about this is the contrast between the serene calm that Joe is and the realistic chaos that the other guy has. It was genius either way, is a constant theme in Joe sketches.

MTV sucks anyway. Adult Swim is where it's at. Joe Pera now has a 9 episode series scheduled by Adult Swim. It's called Joe Pera Talks to You. The first two episodes are worth the watch. My boyfriend and I love Joe Pera. He is absolutely what people need. He has worthwhile ideas. He's a treasure.

This is why Joe belongs on Adult Swim. I’d rather listen to Joe talk about a fish fry for fifteen to thirty minutes than even have to hear Jeff’s voice once. He’s just so vulgar and rude. It’s like they took a JackAss character and threw him into Joe’s show.

Listening to Rhubarb by APHEX Twin whilst watching Joe Pera works.....His old fashioned gentle sincerity is enhanced tremendously by the music, he walks the earth knowing he is different, tho sees nothing special in himself, he doesn't belong anywhere, but still upholds his values with honourable integrity, and associates without judgement.
