Love what you guys are doing here ❤
Thanks very much 👍
Great video, very interesting seeing this process on a large scale!
Almost made your video. I drove past your gate just before the truck pulled out of your driveway
A video on the dogs would be interesting. How you train them, what the commands are, what they can do, etc. Nice channel.
Great video as always! Keep up the good work. South Africa farmer here(mostly cattle). Could you perhaps do a run through of your cattle corral layout? Others maybe would like to see the sheep facilities as well. Thanks!
Plenty of sheep with horns running around the mountains here in Ireland.
Great video. Really interesting. Thanks for being so upfront about prices etc. Good to compare to what we get over here.
Thanks for watching. I don't like it how some you tubers are so precious with their prices. I find it let's people see more of the whole farm story.
@@kiwifarmernz yeah spot on. Great channel. 👍
Hello , how can reach you I am trying to buy sheep and transport them to North Africa if possible
Enjoyed
It is always important to have your generator perfectly level to prevent it either running rich or lean. I found that out by experience with my Kawasaki generator. It saved me lots of anxiety with erratic running!
Great vid auto drafter is a great bit of kit it's amazing how after a while these expensive bit of kit need baling twine to keep them together the farming industry would literally fall apart if we hadn't baling twine 😆😆. Sheep and cattle breeding Alistair what look look for when picking ram's, bulls females for breeding so on thanks.
Haha yep the old drafter needs some work. I will definitely do a video on what sheep and cattle genetics we are looking for.
To Alistair l wanted to know if you dip your Sheep thanks Kiwi Shayne in the UK
@@shaynelammas9413 yes we do either with a pour on or through a spray race dip.
Great video Alistair 👌
Thanks

@@kiwifarmernz thanks for the video
Amazing
Hi Alistair. A really interesting video. The portable hand piece is a neat piece of equipment. What was the tall crop that the lambs at the lease block were grazing at the start of the video? Keep the videos coming. Cheers max
Thanks for watching. It was just Red clover that they had eaten out. They were on kale and plantain before that.
Brother u seems to be smiling n happy. May be because it's money making day . Cheers
Definitely Ram. It's nice to pay off some debt.

I'm from New zealand tooooo
Farm tour of all your equipment?.
I worked on a farm in the late 70s,wish we'd had draughting equipment like that,we would average around 20k lambs per year,a lot of draughting, tailing, drenching etc. Fact is I'll be bloody happy to never see one again.
Yep you either love it or hate it. 20K is a lot of lambs. Thanks for watching.
How long from when the lambs leave the farm till the money hits your bank account? Another great video with the family.
Thanks. It's usually 14 days.
Just a thought.....if you paid the transport could you send me some of those store lambs to the UK
😁🐑
Haha that made me laugh.
What's the difference between Prime and Store lambs? I love my lamb with a little salt, pepper, rosemary and roasted.
Weight .
Prime lambs are ready to be slaughtered and store lambs need more weight so they go to another farmer.
Wouldn't some of the lighter lambs,(stores) still be prime enough to go to the abboitors and be worth more than going to Canterbury Park, just wondering??
On cents per kg the store price is better than the prime price. Our lambs haven't been yielding that well this year due to the weather.
@Kiwi Farmer Thankyou, appreciated. At least you don't have to worry about to much facial eczema like when I used to farm at Matamata
Hallo From South Africa, do you have large Lamb/cattle Feedlots in New Zealand?
Hey we have some smaller feed lots for cattle and one large one for us it holds about 20,000 head. Don't have any lamb feedlots over here that I am aware of.
Do a day in a life
Go back to the video from two weeks ago.

No I haven't heard that but it doesn't surprise me.
