We are between day 142 and day 152 and 5n1s done last week. A few bums tidied by my neighbour, bless him. Lamb beat started this morning. Had a bad hobbler yesterday so brought them in closer, today she isn’t so bad, so X ing fingers a stone and not foot rot as we have had no rain to speak of. About 10 ewe lambs lambing this year so being extra cautious. I heard the prices were down. Local farmer is only doing stores at the moment, so no lambing for him. Brilliant weather day today in Dunsandel.

    Gidday Alistair,

Thanks for the video Alistair. Over here in Australia they have been reporting that a couple of Merino wool producers have signed up to supply a New Zealand clothing manufacturer. Apparently they were having difficulty sourcing enough wool from NZ merino producers. Might be time to change sheep breeds 🤔 or is your country not suitable for merinos.

Pointy eared sheep, some perendale in them? The new Perendales look like a fine sheep these days. Im not so great on sheep as we were always cattle farmers from the mid 60's. I remember my father telling me in the early 70's the beef price dropped from $1.47 a pound to .47c in 6 weeks. probably over the oil shock, my dad stayed in imperial for decades. Told me he was buying yearling cattle for $50 so margin was okay.

Would you be able to do a quick video on the lamb powder and feeding them every lamb powder I find never works

  • @user-es8kj6ij2x

Gday mate what lamb powder do you use?

  • @markmeredith5521

    I’m confused....but don’t worry it happens a lot.

  • @davidfenwick9577

You certainly have the nack of injecting..interested to no your technique

  • @salmonhunter7414

It is not worth keeping the lambs with the the price of milk powder. It is the right thing, but not to make anything.
