Some cash items you need to mention is for the small difference is the OIL GUARD on 2200 costs extra on the 2100, the Suspension Seat included on 2200 is a costly option on the 2100 and most impressive is the rear redesigned frame that is flat on the 2100 and angled on the 2200 so that if you drop off a steep bank into a ditch, the rear end of the flat design could get stuck on the earth, where the angled rear is likely to clear with no issue. Trust me, I have been stuck enough to appreciate this redesign. And the cost of oil changes every 50 hours versus 500 hours with OIL GUARD is huge. I'm getting the 2200 this week.
Did you pull the trigger on getting the 2200 and if so how as it been?
You missed the suspension seat on one and not the other. I thought the ISX2200 has a 28hp engine?
Well said
Do you know if Simplicity and Ferris are still operating after the B & S bankruptcy? I sure hope so. I have a 2020 Simplicity Citation XT that I bought new last spring. What model Ferris does that compare to? Thanks.
They are still operating and looking forward to the future. There was a private equity group that has specialized in buying companies as they enter bankruptcy. They have done the same thing for other companies like Titleist Golf.
The Ferris and Simplcity are similar models. The Ferris is the commercial while Simplicity is the residential option. Both are built good and are solid options. The Ferris ISX800 would be a similar model.
@@MerzFarmEquip Good to hear. My dealer was bought out by Zeigler in July and they have not signed on with Simplicity or Ferris yet. The previous owners sold both lines and had excellent service. Thank you for your prompt response. I sure love my Citation!
@@SilverGleanerwhat dealer was that, sounds local to me
Do you trade up . I have Ferris 700 2014 model and would like to go up to the 2200 model. And also would like Kawasaki engine. I have 120 hours on unit . Looks like new and Only use it to cut my property.
Absolutely we trade! We can get you a trade figure!
Merz Farm Equipment what engine in Kawasaki fuel injection do you Offer for the 2200
We have always stocked the Briggs & Stratton engines historically. For a couple reasons. #1 We are an authorized Briggs dealer #2 Briggs owned Ferris so the Briggs comparable engine was cheaper, or better yet the put a premium price on the Kawasaki option.
how does it compare to toro 4000?
Fairly similar machines. 4400 hydros, similar engine offerings. Ferris has the 2+2 Warranty. Ferris advantage is what sets Ferris apart across the entire lineup is the Independent Suspension! Suspensio. Seats are great but the entire mower on suspension sets it apart. If you have never test driven a Ferris you really need to.
toro has my ride suppose be good to
@@shanepipkin4041 Toro My Ride is NO competition to Ferris All Independent Suspension. My Ride is just the seat platform. Handle bars, all 4 wheels and main mower are all still rigid. Seriously Ride both and you will see!
how is the isx vs is?
@@shanepipkin4041 Not a whole lot different. ISX has the extra arms and holds things straight up and down. But both ride very nice!
Big nice if they had kawasakis on them
They both have Kawasaki options!
@@MerzFarmEquip thanks man I thinking about the badboy rebel with the 35hp kawasaki but I'm a little older would like the suspension on the ferris all I've seen around me are the vanguard motors
