I changed out the rear tires on our ISX2100 to the Carlisle Versa Turf 24x12.00R-12. They provide EXCELLENT traction. No more sliding sideways on slopes, or hills. Our son no longer has to use a 4x4 tractor to pull it out of his pond, each time he mowers the embankments. Check out the Versa Turfs. They make many different sizes. Semper Fi. OUT!!!!!
wheel weights on the drive wheels will help with wheel slippage, but with that additional traction there is a better chance for the front to come up. They also make front weights that slip over the castor towers putting an additional, 50# at the front to help keep the front end on the ground. Once the front end comes up it is hard to get on the controls fast enough to prevent it from coming all the way up.
I have a Wright ZK stander & Exmark Lazer ZX 60” with suspension seat. Seriously considering the Ferris isx 2200 for my next mower. My bones would appreciate the smoother ride😊
Good choice but, I wouldn't recommend that mower for sticky situations 😏☝️fantastic smooth ride but, doesn't perform well on slopes or ditches. It's also much longer than most 52" zero turns. I still like the mower though 👍
What do you use on the heim joints where the manual says to use petroleum chain lube? I thought about using Mystic JT-6 Multi-Purpose Grease. My nephew had a dirt late-model and we used it on the heim joints. Best stuff we ever found because everything else we tried the heim joints would squeak at the end of the race but not with that Mystic grease.
Congrats! It's a real nice mower! Unfortunately, I think I got some bad gas or something? It stopped running on me a while back 🤷♂️it will only start and run at full throttle or idled wide open. Been too busy to bring it in. Hopefully we will have time to bring it tommorow 🤞thanks for watching
Yeah, I need new tires on my Exmark....not sure how wide they are, but I am not happy with Kenda's on damp hills. Carlisle's served me much better. And speaking of wider tires, I'm stoked to get my 35's back on my truck soon 😂💪
@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power yeah, I thought about doing that! Our buddy has a CNC plasma cutter and I'm gonna see if he could make me some one piece 1/8" thick wheel spacers😉
Yes you can adjust the springs with the supplied tool🔧. It should have been in the bag for your owners manual. I prefer the spring set in the middle position up to 500hrs on the machine. I find the springs ware out after about a 1000 hrs and you will probably want to set it in the firmest position at that point. I also find the softer you set the springs the less control you have and scalping accurs🤷 hope this helps 👍
If I were you all I would seriously consider having (ROPS) installed on them mowers even on that small slope looked a little ify. Don't forget to wear your belt when you have (ROPS UP) I hope I was of some help to you guys? Stay safe my friends!
Thanks! I appreciate your concern 😊but, I remove the ROPS on all my mowers. Too many times I've wrecked customers trees and nearly flipping my mower because, of those things, even with them folded down . I don't put myself in positions that I don't feel confident. Thanks again😉
@@JsCrazyCutzLLC Wow! If tree limbs are that dangerously low, you should just cut them down for you all safety! I was watching Jay on that slope, back wheels were sliding, that's what made me bring that up about ROPS. But anyways, keep doing what you all thinks best! 😊✌
I've been told the Vanguard oil that comes in these mowers is made by Amsoil. We have been using Amsoil in our mowers and their Saber 2 stroke oil in our blowers / trimmers for close to 2 years. We have been extremely pleased with it so far🤷♂️
I have the same problem with my 2100 sliding on hills the axles are a little bit thin around the 2100 I’ll have to talk to my dealer if he thinks that’s all right and slightly taller tires. Thanks for the info I’ll let you know how it works out this spring
I love the new mower . That will be my next one . I have the big Suspension seat on mine and loving. Thanks again for sharing. 👍
Yeah, it's a pretty nice mower 😉Thanks for tuning in 👍
🔥🔥🔥 …. and the ADVENTURES CONTINUE ON ✌️✌️✌️
😎👊
That Ferris is looking good!!!!!
Thanks Johnny 😎👊
Looks great .Nothing like making a new mower fit to your likeing
Got to customize it and make it your own😉💪

Move your rear shocks to the vertical position instead of leaning forward. To me it offers a better ride and should give you clearance for the tires.

🤔 Mystic grease haven't tried that 😃☝️I have tried STIHL hedge trimmer lube and it works outstanding 💯👍
@@JsCrazyCutzLLC What do you use where the manual says to use oil instead of grease or the chain lube?
Nice video!!!! Were you able to use the same wheels with wider tires on the 2200?
Actually yes! We should have specified that 🤔thanks for watching and commenting 💛
I was wondering the same thing. How have the tires held up so far being that close to the coil springs?
How wide can you get
How do you like using amzoil. It works ok on air cooled engines?
Yeah, we have been using the 20w50 Amsoil exclusively for 2 years and are happy with it👍
I just bought and isx 2200 for the up coming season. This is my 1st ferris mower and I'm really hoping it's gonna perform well

I’m surprised you would need a suspension seat when the mower has shocks everywhere?
I thought the same thing but, it does make a bit of difference. It does nice on our big mower😏

I’ve been running Amsoil w a bypass filter in my Koehler 27hp on a Dixie Chopper since 2005! No problems. Fixing to retire it an buy a Ferris!
