Dear froggy thanks for the video I'm putting 19 in tires and wheels all the way around my C5. I'm thinking about raising the ride height in the front to get 265 on the front I have 255 now. If the adjustment is the same in the back I'm going to lower that two or three turns. Thanks for the information I have 285 X 19 in the back
No the top bolt goes counterclockwise or clockwise down is clockwise and up is counterclockwise? I'm going to have my mechanic do it but I got to tell him thank you peace out
I've got 19 in wheels and I'm trying to get a 275 on the front I want raise my ride height that 1/2 inch so which way do I turn it clockwise or counterclockwise
Do you have to have the wheel supported when you jack up the spring? Or can you just use a jack on the puck location to hold up the car and use the bottle jack on the spring
I tried this 2 separate times today. the 1st time I thought I just didn't Jack the spring up far enough. The 2ND time I know the spring was up far enough because I had tons of room between the spring and the bottom of the adjuster. but I noticed that the adjuster threads were seized to the threads in the spring. I could not budge the adjuster with my 10mm. I tried tapping the base of the adjuster to free the threads . I had already sprayed kroil oil to free it up before I tried to do it the 1st time. I even took a chisel to the base and just tried to tap it loose a little. nothing has worked... I did everything the same way you did. ramps and all. I've seen another video where a guy takes the front wheels off but I didn't think that was necessary unless you need more hand clearance. I guess my c5 will keep those ugly fender gaps... Thanks for your videos!
Probably corroded in place, the 10mm end is not much to grab onto. If you try again try pb blaster the day b4. An impact tool might break it loose, but not much room to get in there. If you feel like you get it loose a little, try going back and forth like any rusted nut. Good luck & thanks for viewing. :)
+froggy ... I use to have some PB blaster but ran out.. I know it's good stuff. I'll have to get some and give it another shot.. and maybe get an angle air impact wrench.. that should do the trick... thanks..
Contradictory...did you raise or lower the body?
Lower, it scrapes.
I thank you for your videos. They help much more than the shop manual! I have probably viewed most if not all of them.

If you are looking at the bolt from above you turn it counterclockwise and the bolt comes up = you have lowered the car

You said you're going to raise the right height I thought you was lower ing it

I like this way as I don't have to jack on the spring so much. If the wheel is full droop then it's a lot more.
:)
Did you put duct tape on your paint? Ready? I think I would of used painters tape or in your case frog tape
I needed a more heavy duty thicker tape for what I was doing.
Would this be the same procedure for a C4? Mine is waaay to low.
Did you ever figure that out?
Does that help with speed bumps ?
Haha, not a bit.

Let me know.

Did you have any traction control abs issues?
None at all.
:)
I have a service abs and traction control light on. The pump is discontinued do you know anyone can rebuild them for the 2000 vette?
Do a google search, I think there is a guy, but I don't have the name.
:)
Post back here with what u find.
Why?
Interesting, changing the right height changed the Toe... I would have guessed a camber.
I believe it changes both but toe much more.
:)
What wheels are those?
CCW (now Weld) c14 one piece race rims.
Thanks for viewing.
froggy have you had any issues running the same height tires in the front I know from the factory there's like three quarters of an inch of rake
Rears should be approx 3/4 inch taller for all nanny systems to be happy.
