I think it's better to have a brighter photo in the dark, than a more realistic one. You can always darken the scene afterwards, but you cannot retrieve lost detail in darker shots.
While it is true that the vibration is weaker because of the axis, we should also note that there is a setting under "Sound and Vibrations" called "Vibration sound for incoming calls" which imitates the sound of the vibration motor using the phone speakers. It is very convincing and can make up for the new vibration motor's lack of strength.
I wish there was a button to turn off the urge to buy a new phone since I don’t need to upgrade even though my phone is 2 years old already phones are crazy good now specially if it’s an iPhone Software updates are forever and will last longer than your phones life so stop wanting to by a phone please watch the reviews but don’t buy it sincerely me to me
6:07 I can agree not hearing the vibration has made me miss calls before. Then I realized how silly that expectation is, the whole point of vibration alerts is to not make noise. Once I was on a job interview and my phone kept vibrating and it was very distracting to everyone in the room
Theirs is literally numerous vibration settings for the calls and the notifications, not to mention the intensity setting, I just changed my notifications vibration settings to a Lower one, because the longest loudest one is too annoying, I have mines set on spring, it's less annoying especially when I have my phone in my hand
Well, for interview, you should have just muted the phone. But for me, when I am in the library, I need to hear vibrations. I can't keep the phone on silent nor on volume.
Goes to show how good phones have gotten that Marques ain't even switching. It's the first I've seen him stick to last year's flagship when the new one came out.
Yes, despite some promo and hype from affiliated Samsung YT channels, the sensible consumer can guage that the S22U is basically the S21U with a new sticker and software, that may indeed turn up on the S21U in due course (not yet so Samsung can sell the S22U). It is an iterate upgrade but for those coming from S10 and older will be a nice upgrade.
Honestly it goes even further. I'm heavily debating switching from my Note 10+ which by now is 2,5 years old. The phone itself is fine and there is so little to gain. The main reason I'm even debating it is software... Hardware wise it runs fine. Sure, no 120hz, 5G or the x3 and x10 telephoto camera's (which I really want too) but it goes to show how good their recent phones were.
@Zaydan Naufal The Note 8 has features I'm truly going to miss. SD card storage and LED notification I appreciate daily. The Headphone jack, stylus on the right are lesser issues, but still things I don't think necessary to be deleted. What I'm not going to miss is the Note 8's horrible battery life. I can't even say it's because of how old it is because the batteries are replaced when you have screens replaced. Also it is so buggy and slower as the days go by. I remember feeling like this at the end of 3G when 4G LTE was coming out.
Thank you so much! I came for the camera capability review at 08:11 I don't care about 8k video. But getting close is critical, Using it for insect colony inspections :) I'm a professional photographer and have been so impressed with phone image quality that I seriously need to carry one as well. 1080p video is where I have the most interest. I do wish you had covered macro capability. Thumbs UP and I wish you all the best.
@@robstuart1385 I just bought the 500 GB version. I shot en entire convention over two days and didn't even begin to use up the data storage capability. Then just download to your portable drive and you're in great shape. I actually don't want a micro sd card as that would be another opening in the case.
UPDATE I bought it, and have been using this phone for months. It's a winner in every possible way. Less expensive than a single lens for my mirrorless cameras, it's quick and ready, with excellent audio. Video quality is exceptional The ability to zoom in a blink, is invaluable. I've conducted interviews with it and captured video sequences that appear seamlessly in my final video productions. You can't tell when we switch between cinematic cameras and the phone. It's that good. Worth every penny, thank you.
I'm currently living overseas and the S Pen I amazing for translations. you can hover over a word, sentence etc... and it will translate for you on the fly. No having to open a translation app, taking a pic and so on. Some really great hidden features
Yes, this! I have the Note20 Ultra and I enjoy learning languages and the instant translation on hover is one of the most useful tools I've ever encountered for language learning. It even translates text from images instantly - it's not flawless, admittedly (you can get dodgy fonts in images) but by and large it works very well the majority of the time for text in images. I think people need to understand that it can do much more than note-taking and doodling (though it is great for those as well).
They is little to no difference this time around Numerous reviewers have stated. Don't be scared to obtain the exynos version as it's just as good as the SD now.
I just did a warranty claim in the s21 ultra but they didn't have any and could "only" offer me the 22 ultra at no extra charge. Very excited to get this phone on Monday!
@@Bro.JabbarX it's been great, thanks for asking. Very happy they offered me the upgrade. I miss aspects of the s21 ultra but the s22 is all around a better phone
I'm quite impressed how the S Pen didn't really compromise the rest of the phone. That's a really huge pen inside, yet the internals still as good as the best of the best.
@@punksjutgbd Irrelevant. Still not the "best of the best" in terms of CPU power. Just like iPhones aren't the best of the best in terms of their screens.
I prefer the aesthetics of the way Samsung did the camera rings this year. To my eyes it is a much cleaner look - Dbrand's case is the perfect addition to the phone making the camera hump/rings sit flush on a flat surface - I'm a fan
the notes stuff is the big yes there .. as Marques said.. the S Pen and features always there to be use without sacrificing anything on the phone. Great phone and great video as usual Marques✌️
@@VisionaryTech yup that is a problem....but the s pen is still worth it...besides i think the regular s22s are very underrated. they are great i also ordered the s22 plus and i think i m gonna love it.. regular s22s are more than enough to satisfy most of the demands of a regular users
This is the only phone I've ever had that I'd say had an "exceptional" battery. With 5G on, multiple Bluetooth connections, auto brightness, max resolution and refresh rate, I regularly get 7+ hours SoT before I hit 15%, without having to think about it. This is really the kind of phone you can forget to charge overnight and still make it through another full day in a pinch.
vibration motor was one of the biggest flops I noticed when moving from Note 8 to Note 10. I hate to hear my ringtone or my alarm's sound, so vibration is essential to me and the fact that it's getting worse gets me concerned. However it is not a dealbreaker.
I noticed that switiching from my note 9 to the s22 ultra. The vibratiob is what wakes me up without waking up baby and wife. Big let down in that department. Also dont turn on bed time mode, it mutes said alarms completely and turns on airplane mode. That was fun for work.
its really a bummer for me I had no idea it was so bad the vibration motor even at max setting you will miss all your calls and notifications being in your pocket or on your desk its a huge mistake samsung made here for all us vibration mode fans. Im forced to leave the sound on its terrible. I might investigate to use a vibration sound but what a hassle
Whenever I hear "I don't really use the sPen" I feel like wow, you're missing a lot! If you look at the sPen as only for drawing and jottiing quick handwritten stuff then you're just scratching the surface. To me personally, coming from Note 4 onwards, I use the sPen not for handwriting but for keyboard Swiftkey predictive input. Pair that with Evernote (or any other note taking app ie. OneNote etc) that syncs across devices (laptop, tablet, desktop PC) and you have one productivity tool. I can take down notes much faster than handwriting or even typing on the phone. I have my calendar, tasks, journal, ideas all jotted down on my computer in my pocket. I use it for work in my meetings and for personal home stuff (ie. projects, to do's etc). I also use sPen with Lightroom app, easily adjust sliders for photo editing if i needed, edit quick videos, use the sPen to scrub through the timeline, easily screenshot/resize/edit using sPen, also highlight quickly and select texts on any page. I'm not getting a phone without an sPen, to me any phone without sPen is just for media consumption and not for productivity. I can't wait to get my S22 Ultra and I'm really hoping the big reason Samsung removed the Note title from the S22 Ultra is that they will introduce the sPen into the next Z Fold phone. That will be my dream phone if it ever does come out.
It doesn't stop there. As an engineer, I used the S pen to finish many drawings on AutoCad. I also used it for Solidworks and the phone handled the modeling part like it was nothing. Also I used it to sign and approve many last minute submissions. It's an absolutely fantastic tool if you know how to utilize it well.
Maybe im not understanding, but how does the Spen add anything to the keyboard switftkey predictive input experience? Can't you do that just as well with your fingers?
I use the mobile version of Photoshop a lot! Moving the sliders are so much easier with the spen. Having the spen is a must for me! Can't wait until Friday. It was a good run Note 20 Ultra!
I like Marques' subtle shoutouts and recognition of other tech reviewers in his videos. It should be the norm across the tech community here at UA-cam.
Camera is dynamite. Display is extremely good overall. Lots of iterative improvements. There are some downsides, namely price & lack of SD. Overall, it's impressively good for anyone wanting the Note functionality. Also, the battery life is a little better now with updates.
I'm glad he said he's sticking with the S21 ultra. I have the 512gb/16 gb variant and it feels like such a solid phone even a year later. I was recording a video at my sister's party the other day and someone peered over my shoulder and was like "what phone is that, that footage is crazy" . The technology in these phones have advanced a lot and a lot of people in the real world have held on to their old flagships. The S21 ultra takes ridiculous photos and is so feature rich, I can see myself keeping this until 2024
I too like the S21 Ultra over the S22 but in terms of the design. Anyway in my country the S21 Ultra is Exynos while the S22 is Snapdragon so I've no choice but to go with the more expensive S22 Ultra just for the SoC.
Yeah, I feel that way too. I got a 12 Pro in December of 2020, switched to the Max a few months later due to size but honestly see myself keeping the phone a couple years.
I've been wanting to get another samsung phone for a while now and I knew their ultra was the way to go, but I also really wanted to explore the note series so this actually makes me really excited that they basically combined the two of them
Ultra is just a descriptor word, not the name of a phone itself. I have a Note 20 Ultra 5G. So they've done it before. The two phones combined here are the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Note.
@@Gjatt60 The fold is great but not the best. S22 ultra is the best phone they offer. Fold is nice too, but with a folding screen you kind of have to “compromise, and give up some of the more basic aspects of a phone” -Mrwhostheboss
I liked the idea of a curved screen, until I encountered the issues of screen protectors peeling off more easily. In addition to being more expensive and difficult to find a reliable curved screen protectors.
The best one is whitestone dome ,worth the money for an expensive phone like s22 ultra. I've tried all the other ones , until I finally bought the whitestone dome just follow the Instructions carefully . I regret no buying it sooner.
I haven't use a screen protector in my last 3 phones, including this current one. Haven't encountered any scratches on my main screen. I do use protective case though. And while I'm not rough with it, I do put it in my pocket along with keys and coins.
Mine will be here Thursday. I have a S21 Ultra but I’m upgrading for the note features. I prefer the square screen and built in s-pen. The fact you need a case to carry the pen on the 21 makes it useless.
I've gotten 8-9 hours of screen on time on my s10+. not pushing it hard, but not going necessarily easy on it. I've tried to turn off features I don't need, and optimized it pretty well, so I think that's why. I wonder what I could from the s22u haha
I still have My S10+ only because it's The Last of An Ancient Breed. No more headphone jack after this one. The S22 Ultra is gonna inspire Me to purchase it off the strength of its Emulation capabilities alone.

@@JV-ie4rh mmmm well its been almost 3 years since I first got the phone. Right now id say its operating at about 7/10. But I think I could definitely get another year out of it. Bear in mind howevet I'm in Ireland/UK so I have exynos chip not the snapdragon I personally have been thinking about going back to apple again, but was waiting on reviews for s22 ultra, so I'm not sure now myself what to do
After the disappointment over the Galaxy Note not being released in 2021, I'm so excited to receive my Galaxy S22 Ultra. I went with the 512 GB version. Thanks, Marques for another amazing review video.
Just got the ultra. Going to wait a few days while Android optimizes battery consumption. You can do some tweaking with the processing speed setting (3 options) combined with thermals app from Samsung store for what works best. I increase temps by 2c and Max processing noticed that cpu clocks stay really high for even the smallest processing and gets super hot quick.
Got mine yesterday snapdragon version 12gbRAM/512gb storage and let me tell you this thing is a beast and I love it. Am coming back to Samsung after OnePlus and Iphone not exceeding my expectations. The S22 Ultra is an all around phone to have if you're a super user

I am glad that you pointed out the dust accummulating around the rear lenses. I am always cleaning my phone. The S21 Ultra still has a better design and it is easier to clean, in my opinion. Sticking with the S21U for now. But the S22U is still impressive.
@@_Digitalguy No it wasn't. The S21U contour cut worked because of rounded edges. They couldn't do the rounded edges this time because they had to fit in the S Pen, thereby making it boxier.
@@infinity8543 Yeah, but they made the S22 boxier too and still kept the contour (granted, this time it was not merged with the body, but still more visually pleasing and providing some protection for the cameras)
Superb iteration of the S/Note line up. The burgundy color is stunning btw, more so than the metallic pink of the N20U. Really hoping Samsung is able to fit similar camera hardware and built in s pen on the Fold4. As always, great review and thank you for the content.
Just to note (lol) I believe Arun adjusted the screen brightness on all phones so they output a similar nit count, so max screen brightness wouldn't affect the results of the battery test. Also he only had the exynos chipset to test. Thanks for the awesome content!
@@jimv1983 I'm not saying they are better, I'm just saying that the exynos chips were improved and according to Samsung they should give the same amount of screen on time as snapdragon chips
Any way you can tell me if when you take a picture of a "document" if all the surrounding edges are blurry like the Note 20 Ultra was. My Note 10 plus took amazing pics, focused edge to edge. When I got the Note 20 I was highly disappointed with the camera while taking pics of important papers. Thanks!
@@O-RoD Just checked now, clicked pictured of few documents. They look great, it seems Samsung has fixed that issue. Also, one workaround I used with my note was to use the office lens. It took better scans than the native camera app
As someone who isnt a photographer or gives a crud about recording every moment in my life. Id love to see a review mention amy significant differences without bringing up the camera.
Well for phones there isn’t much else to upgrade. Storage, camera, and battery life are the biggest things. That’s why nothing much changes on both Samsung and apple’s end. Although I am in the same boat with you. Only reason I get excited is because I go 4-5 years before upgrading so to me it usually is worth while.
I am also on the 4-5 year boat. I highly recommend to get a new phone after that since the chances of sudden unpleasant failure start to go up... Best to get a replacement before critical failure imo.
Sketching, modelling for 3D prints and signing is so under appreciated. This is a enthusiast phone, but more people should have a phone with a pen. Even a cheap one makes one hell of a difference.
I agree, i have a note 10 lite and loving every minute of it. This new line up got me worried there won't be anymore "cheap" galaxy note. Not just note lite (which I know is very unpopular), but at least previous line up got note, note +, note ultra... And you can get the cheapest note available from the line up,, this year and last year only top of the top from the line (s21 ultra w/ separate pen & s22 with incl. pen) got s-pen support.
I use the stylus for signing, writing down notes, grocery list, writing and making a point on photos for my colleagues but I only use it indoors because I'm worried the dust outside might get into the slot. And I think a lot of people don't really need the stylus on their phones. They can use a tablet for bigger canvas.
@@chintansheth93 I appreciate the input. So far I like it. Maybe I'm of a older mindset but the camera on any phone is not a big deal to me. As a videographer, I'll use my Canon cameras over any phone camera. Android has always had issues with pop-ups, being a former Note 10 user, I remember the days. I don't use Bixby, like at all. I'll run with Alexa or just search for whatever I need myself.
They are always good. I just hope they don't keep trying to put that under display camera on their fold series until it is perfected. It completely ruins the immersive experience of the phone. I'm disappointed that samsung has done away with extendable storage. The end of an Era 😪
I have seen many much cheaper phones and their displays all look brilliant. Anyone claiming they buy a phone on the quality of the display are only fooling themselves as quality is high everywhere and any differences are minor and not really quantifiable for most users.
Thanks Marques, this was a much much much much better review than the S22/S22+ one. Simple, to the point, using real world usable examples and comparisons instead of basketball comparisons which had me absolutely lost.
@@DavidUzsak I got the analogies too, but I retained very little from that review. It has this basketball > tech > basketball progression and I only retain the part I came for: the tech.
S pen translation is something I have been using quite a lot when I live abroad. It has been a lifesaver for me so many times. You can't find similar functionality anywhere else.
I like the change on the vibration motor actually. I find the Samsung vibration super excessive compared to other phones and it drives me crazy when my coworkers phone vibrates on the table next to me. This X axis thing is gonna make it more similar to the iPhone I think.
I never really enjoyed phones reviews, cuz most reviewing guys are boring anf just stick to the book type of guys, they only state official stuff, but this guy, he's smtg else, my guy on another level, he is stating official stuff in a nice cool way as well as his opinion and a really precise lore about it in many ways not just one stupid way, ur the best reviewer i ever seen and im glad i picked ur video it was a complete coincidence, i was torn between yours and another guy(he have more views tho i was confused fr) but yours is just cooler and i enjoyed watching it and thanks to it, im not buying that phone even tho i don't have it's money, but the curves literally sucks i used to help father with his S7 Edge, and i hated the curves literally just made it hard for me to use the phone, they do seem easthetic but hardddddd ! Went into Best Buy today to look at it, and was VERYYYYYYY impressed! I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S10, and I LOVE it!.......but, its starting to show its age lol! Either way, I was waiting for YOUR full review of the note, and I totally think I can justify dropping SO much money on a flagship phone like this. Thanks MKBHD! I have waited for your review on the Ultra among all the reviews out there for 1 week and kept checking your channel everyday at least 3 times a day and finally its here. Thanks MB for a great review.
Well done MKBHD! Having been an all-time Note fan it is pleasurable to see the Samsung S line merge with the Note line. I noticed I do not use the s-pen a whole lot but I am always pleased to have it when I want to use it, so this is a keeper for me and I am definitely upgrading to this. The specs and the features here can naturally make this a candidate for the phone of the year, fingers crossed.
@@charliebaker1427 I think differently, I actually prefer the squared off looks on this, just like the Note. The softer curves of previous S line devices were too soft for me. I'd have preferred a flatter display too, the curved edges are not a thrill except for the border notification lights but that's negligible for me.
I've had my S22 Ultra for 3 days now and absolutely love it. If you got the S21 Ultra and don't think you'll use the SPen, don't bother upgrading. My wife has that one and doesn't use her's for work like I do and is very happy with it. 👍
I love the curved edge! Some people will complain about everything. Let me ask you this, does this curve bother you more than apples huge notch in videos ? I’m especially talking about the new 14’s. Odd how this bothers you, but the iPhones display (notch) doesn’t.
I still just stare and appreciate the design of the s21 ultra. I know they felt they had to change something but the camera module area just feels like a downgrade.
A camera hump is a camera hump the very name suggests ugliness. Appreciate the fact that Samsung's technical prowess eliminated the hump despite having the largest sensors in the market, that's a feet in itself. Appreciate the flat uninterrupted design. I don't want the hump back, in fact Apple will be eliminating it too.
Going from OnePlus 8t back to Samsung family ...just ordered S22 Ultra 512GB. My experience with Note 5 back in the day was great...lasted for over 4 years without any issues. S22 cost was hard to bite but hoping it''ll last for a decade haha
I've owned this phone for about a month now and I have to say, it's a beast. With the Samsung Dex added, a bluetooth mouse and keybaord, it's literally a PC in my pocket. Of course it's doing everything that a PC does but it's a productivity beast!
Same here. Though the glass screen protectors are a bit of a b*tch. The one I got on my S22 Ultra is slightly too narrow and about 1.5mm too short. Getting a screen protector with an excellent fit seems like a bit of a challenge.
I love swiping left or right on curved screens, your content seems to just "roll" onto the screen. It's so satisfying seeing stuff come up and over the curve of the screen on my S21 Ultra. Only downside to me is screen protectors are a pain to put on curved screens, though I never really put screen protectors on my phone anyways cause I can't ever seem to find one that covers the entire display aswell as working with the under display finger scanner, I can't stand having lips on the top and especially the bottom of my phone screen when using screen protectors as I use the swipe gestures
I've wanted to upgrade from my S9plus to the S22U but I like the S22plus more but ultimately decided to skip this year's phone. I wish you would do a review against older phones like 3 4 year old since normal user don't change their phones every year
I own a regular S9 and i would love to see a comparison between the S9 and the next gen phones, next year. Im probably not gonna change my phone this year, cause it still works really really well, but im beginning to see where the new ones are better at, so maybe next year ill get a new one.
I really regret trading my s9 for the s20fe. the s9 was just so good, sd card and headphone jack too. I lost the original earphones and I still regret that. I think it’s best to skip this year’s s series, and if you absolutely need a phone, get a mid ranger.
I've got the same dilemma and the same phone. I've been considering to replace my S9+ with the newer model or switch to iphone even. The main drawback with S9+ is the avaliable memory space, tho it has a SD card slot, I use it for seconds sim card, so the memory capacity now is the main factor for me. Even 128 gigs would be a big leap for me.
Same, I got an s9+ and i'm skippig this year as well. The phones are nice and all, but I'm just satisfied with what I got now. I'm looking forward to buy a new phone from samsung next year.
Hey, I'm also a S9+ owner. However, I'm planning to get one this year. My phone still works perfectly fine. I enjoy my S9+ a lot but the only problem is the camera. The S22 ultra does provide the highest standard of Camera comparing with S9+. Although S22 Ultra doesn't have SD card slot, the 512GB storage would do the trick.

The battery optimizer now says I should get 10.5 hours per charge, which I believe is a combo of SOT and the screen off but phone powered on.
My last two phones were the Note 10+, then the S21 Ultra. I moved from the Note because it had weak glass (smashed front and back and repaired). Also I didn't use the S-pen much either. I'm surprised he didn't talk about how Samsung announced partnerships with Tik tok Instagram and Snapchat for real camera optimization like iPhone's and not other androids that use view finder on these apps for the grainy "android look". Considering how android cameras have such a stigma for looking like trash (mostly with american teenagers or people who don't know much about tech) he makes a big deal about having two phones, one android and one iPhone and that iPhone is entirely for just social media I'm surprised he didn't do his research on this subject as it effectively removes the need for him to carry a second iPhone and fixes the fault of amazing android cameras looking horrible on social media
Because it only changed for Snapchat. At least that is what other reviewers have shared. Him saying he's keeping the S21 Ultra as his Android daily driver was clear as day to me.
That not gonna happen lmao. That's what they said they released the S10 series and the camera was still shit quality. What I think they mean is that camera features from the stock app will work in the social media apps but still use the primitive screen grab capture method. Snapchat is too much of a lazy ass that won't do anything unless companies toss money in their direction to do stuff.
Potomac Studios you're right, i stopped watching MKBHD he became Pro Apple, and you could tell his biases against Samsung and other Android makers in his videos, i haven't watched this video i guarantee he's bashing this phone somehow.
Awesome review! Going from a note 10 plus to this ultra. Should arrive tomorrow for me. I'm excited. Thank you for helping me understand my new phone more. I do wish the display was flat but it does give it a premium look that others don't have. Excited to play with the cameras 📷
The reason why I waited from note 10+ to s22 ultra was the camera dont look huge, and I used the pen for fun. You don't need to be an artist to draw nice things since it teach you how to do it. It is a lot of fun and may wife believed for a while that I have a hidden talent
The reason Samsung mentioned for dropping the Ram was because of a new software feature "Ram+" that let's you manually convert your internal storage into ram (up to 8 GB). I wanted you to at least mention it, because I'd like to know if this is actually valid or just a gimmick.
I was gonna upgrade from my s21 ultra but honestly I'm keeping it and wait until next year. The battery still give me like 8-9 hours screen on time, camera is really good. And it looks better. Will wait for next year's phone
This s21 ultra vibration motor is crazy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I got this phone because of your review and I've loved it ever since. Zero problem with lasting battery and to be able to zoom 100x is just nice to have In your pocket. Let alone a small computer
I'm glad you pointed out the x-axis vibration motor. I have a Samsung midrange phone with the same vibration axis and I can hardly feel it on my pocket (I mostly miss out on important calls/messages while on the go). It's been my biggest complain and now that you pointed it out on this flagship, I will not consider it anymore :)
Midranges don't have the one s22 has. They are most likely ERM which rotates. Flagships used to have Linear but z axis. S22 got newly any only Samsungs phone to get the x axis one
3:13 The display brightness was calibrated in his test and he was using Exynos version, not the 8gen1 so no excuses. If anything, the 8gen1 might show better battery results.
Mine was delivered in the UK a few days ago. Not sure how, as it was still in the previous order phase when it delivered but🤷♂️. So far its a great experience. Solid improvement of battery life from a one plus 7T Pro. I can't imagine myself being a constant user of the pen, I'm very happy with my order

Definitely an upgrade in experience from the Pixel. I will leave the Pixel base completely to Samsung over this. I like the integrations of the Note into a “phone” display rather than a tablet.

Not the same though... and that sound is very irritating and cannot be adjusted... to lower it

Good point
You should at least be able to feel the vibration, but not hear it too loudly.
No, that’s what silent is for.
The differences are so minuscule every year for every phone brand. You need to wait 2-3 years to notice a difference in your daily use

Wow, that is great I did not know that about the S Pen. I want to continue learning Spanish so this is good to know.
How do you hover over the sentence? I've only been able to translate single words at a time which makes it useless

vibration motor was one of the biggest flops I noticed when moving from Note 8 to Note 10. I hate to hear my ringtone or my alarm's sound, so vibration is essential to me and the fact that it's getting worse gets me concerned. However it is not a dealbreaker.
you can solve that problem by downloading a vibration audio then set it as an alarm sound. if ever you'll be getting s22 ultra.
I noticed that switiching from my note 9 to the s22 ultra. The vibratiob is what wakes me up without waking up baby and wife.
Big let down in that department. Also dont turn on bed time mode, it mutes said alarms completely and turns on airplane mode. That was fun for work.

Here here. Love that pen.
Couldn't agree more.
Yeah honestly. If you're gonna review the S22 Ultra and not gaf about the S-Pen what are you been doing lol
Maybe im not understanding, but how does the Spen add anything to the keyboard switftkey predictive input experience? Can't you do that just as well with your fingers?
a "pen" makes sense for a resistive touchscreen but makes no F sense for capacitive ones

Thanks!
Best part of the review 5:01 - finally he reviews something he made!
Just to note (lol) I believe Arun adjusted the screen brightness on all phones so they output a similar nit count, so max screen brightness wouldn't affect the results of the battery test. Also he only had the exynos chipset to test. Thanks for the awesome content!
If they were true to their word, the exynos chips should give almost the same screen on time as the snapdragon chips.

Just upgraded from a Note 20 Ultra, received this yesterday. Loved the matte finish on the S-Pen.
Any way you can tell me if when you take a picture of a "document" if all the surrounding edges are blurry like the Note 20 Ultra was. My Note 10 plus took amazing pics, focused edge to edge.
I had a note 9 it’s pretty niche tbh I barely even remembered it was there
I agree, i have a note 10 lite and loving every minute of it.
The majority of people literally do none of those
I use the stylus for signing, writing down notes, grocery list, writing and making a point on photos for my colleagues but I only use it indoors because I'm worried the dust outside might get into the slot. And I think a lot of people don't really need the stylus on their phones. They can use a tablet for bigger canvas.
There's no cheaper Samsung galaxy Note lite alternative in this lineup.
Just picked mine up yesterday, switching from the 11 Pro Max, and so far I love it! I just pre-ordered the DBrand case as well, it looks awesome!
You will regret it
Samsung camera sucks

@@chintansheth93 I appreciate the input. So far I like it. Maybe I'm of a older mindset but the camera on any phone is not a big deal to me. As a videographer, I'll use my Canon cameras over any phone camera. Android has always had issues with pop-ups, being a former Note 10 user, I remember the days. I don't use Bixby, like at all. I'll run with Alexa or just search for whatever I need myself.

The display on this machine is really impressively good👌
@MAMUNAS At least the starting price still cheaper than the S20 series
They are always good. I just hope they don't keep trying to put that under display camera on their fold series until it is perfected. It completely ruins the immersive experience of the phone. I'm disappointed that samsung has done away with extendable storage. The end of an Era 😪
I have seen many much cheaper phones and their displays all look brilliant. Anyone claiming they buy a phone on the quality of the display are only fooling themselves as quality is high everywhere and any differences are minor and not really quantifiable for most users.
Just bought this phone yesterday. Absolutely love it so far!!
Thanks Marques, this was a much much much much better review than the S22/S22+ one. Simple, to the point, using real world usable examples and comparisons instead of basketball comparisons which had me absolutely lost.
I know absolutely nothing about basketball, let alone US basketball teams, and I got the analogy 🤷🏻♂️
@@DavidUzsak I got the analogies too, but I retained very little from that review. It has this basketball > tech > basketball progression and I only retain the part I came for: the tech.

I like the change on the vibration motor actually. I find the Samsung vibration super excessive compared to other phones and it drives me crazy when my coworkers phone vibrates on the table next to me. This X axis thing is gonna make it more similar to the iPhone I think.

I find the note style of squared edges just doesn't look as nice as the rounded edges of the normal galaxy line
@@charliebaker1427 I think differently, I actually prefer the squared off looks on this, just like the Note. The softer curves of previous S line devices were too soft for me. I'd have preferred a flatter display too, the curved edges are not a thrill except for the border notification lights but that's negligible for me.

Agreed bro!
Yes. I Love it. I never faced any issues for having it. It gives a depth to the content and many things that flat ones don't compete

However, I'm planning to get one this year.
My phone still works perfectly fine.
I enjoy my S9+ a lot but the only problem is the camera.
