- Let’s discuss a very interesting part of the 15th Anniversary art book for Ratchet & Clank. Originally, Insomniac Games had thought of implementing more of the lore of the Lombaxes in Into The Nexus. I refrained from talking about this too early, thought it’d be better to hold off for a couple of months.

I really want Insomniac to make a Ratchet and Clank game that goes into detail about the lombaxs
What about a game where Ratchet is testing out a new device that inadvertently sends him hopping through other dimenations trying to get back to his.
And What if he ends up in the Dimension where his family is; and while happy at first; starts to miss Clank, and gets homesick for the Dimension he's grown attached to;

I want to learn so much about the Lombaxes, mostly because I’m completely obsessed with Ratchet and he’s my favourite character of all time. Still, I want to know more!

Why Insomiac....why...? I get why they're scraped due to the crazy confusion it would cause, but still...
Those Lombaxes are so badass. I hope they bring this concept back in the next game or whichever game they deem appropriate for their dayview. We were so close to having the Lombax dimension finally being explored. And the possible return of the Cragmites may had set off a second great war that Ratchet and Clank would had fought in. The possibilities are endless!
Soon....perhaps one day...we will get our valiant warriors at long last.

I just thought of something, since Ratchet is way shorter than most Lombaxes and most other aliens, it's probably because he grew up on Veldin. Because Veldin is a backwater desert planet and it probably didn't have a lot of healthy recorded for food, so Ratchet, staying on Veldin until he was about 15, never got enough nutrience from his food and stuff because veldin is a dry desert planet, so around when most people get taller, like 12 to 13 to 14 and ect, ratchet didn't get taller because Veldin didn't have a lot of good recprces with enough nutrience to make someone tall
So from the artbook that would mean Ratchet is an amalgomation of his races society, as he is skilled in all of the roles one could qualify for in the Lombax work roles.
Boy, the Lombax Society is a unseen story in the art book.
I wonder this company name is a cut content or not.

When I saw the Lombax society in the art book I was amazed and I really would like to see more about them as we've only heard about the Lombaxes and not seeing what they're like in action would be such wasted potential. Though hopefully Insomniac Games will consider having them in a possible future R&C game.
Though I could see the original story of Into the Nexus involving the Lombaxes and Cragmites could still be used in some way with some alterations (if it's required that is). So it may not be totally off the table just yet but who knows what the future holds?

I believe that "Into the Nexus" has taken few ideas from the canceled "Nexus" game just like "deadlocked" and "all4one", since you can read the part were nexus Lombaxes are fighting what the devs call a mix of Cragmite & Nether creatures and the story part about two factions/aliens fighting each other, also i didn't see anyone mention it but in ITN story there has been signs that Mr. Eye knows about The Lombaxes, and seeing them as a dangerous threat, which makes me think that Nexus Lombaxes can still exist in the main timeline but as completely different group than the ones we saw in the Future trilogy.
Signs of Mr Eye about the Lombaxes? Never crossed my mind actually.
So like a variation of the Lombax race that can survive in a nether-like world where almost nothing can live in, or maybe lombaxes having the natural ability to be able to survive in said nether realm?
This is why I love Ratchet and clank as a series. They thought of things way back when deadlocked released. So much care put into one series.
I wish Sonic team took this much care with their games.
I'm getting a juicy Lombax lore feeling for Rift Apart
There should be a game where ratchet and clank almost let the lombaxes out then it cuts into a cliffhanger then there’s a whole game with the lombaxes in there prison world or whatever, then at the end of that game a portal opens up and ratchet and clank are just there then the game ends then there’s another game that has both of them in it. Just a thought

Now we have Ratchet and Clank Rift Away, and it shows a female Lombax, so hopefully we will finally see all the dimensions that the Lombaxes are hiding in.

1 the zoni there’s still so much more potential for the zoni I would love to see that explored
2 the Lombaxs of course we all won’t to explore more about them
And finally 3 more on the cragmits I think there can be more interesting lore explored with them
I could make some videos talking about my ideas for ratchet and clank I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again I would give my heart and soul to work with insomniac I’ve got so many ideas and there are some ideas I found from some of the fans that I think are freaking genius I would show insomniac these ideas and of course give credit to the artist/fan behind that idea so yeah that’s my thoughts on this btw these scrapped ideas I think that should totally use in the future anyway I’m rambling on so I’ll just talk about my ideas regarding ratchet and clank in my own videos in the future see ya and great video as always vivi
If IG makes a sequel to RA involving Ratchet finally finding the lombaxes I hope they reuse this lombax society concept or at the very least something similar

It’d be cool if Ratchet met a lombax and they did not die or disappear. I highly doubt he is the only Lombax in the universe. Angela and Alister are why I think so.
Maybe there be a rachet and clank game where you go explore other dimensions in there universes, there are many secrets left undiscovered

Late to the party, I know. What if after the Cragmite War, the Lombaxes used the dimensionator to start exploring and even colonizing new dimensions? What if one of those dimensions was the netherverse? Given that it was 50 years after the war (I think) they had enough time to found societies in those dimensions. Then Mr. Eye finds them, and with no way to get home, enslaved the Lombaxes there.
Also this would explain how the Lombaxes were able to leave this dimension all at once when Tachyon attacked, they had time to prepare and the best colony waiting for them.
The Cragmite War you're referring to happened eons ago. The war between Tachyon and Lombaxes happened less than 50 years prior to R&C 1 for sure. Ratchet was sent to Veldin at a young age, right after Tachyon's havoc. If Ratchet was 15 in the first game, then surely that war happened say 15 years prior to R&C 1. The Lombaxes maybe tried colonizing other dimensions and wound up prisoners to the Nethers.
VTNVIVI the war probably ended 20-25 years before R&C 1.

1:14 - Honestly, it would've been better to wait at least a month before making this video but it is what it is.
1:56 - That's something that's been debatable for a while now, you have guys like Tealgamemaster who believe Clank just took it back to the museum to be safe and secure away from anyone. And then you have guys like TGX who have nothing but hate for Insomniac Games for leaving it on a cliffhanger ending before rebooting the first game. I personally believe it was an open ending like A Crack In Time where it didn't end on a cliffhanger but at the same time they left room for more games to come out.
2:10 - There are like 4 guys on that same page as well, can you label which ones are scouts, mechanics, pilots and warriors? 😁
2:28 - I'm assuming it would be Nexus from 2013 just because they put that info in that section of the book.
3:32 - True but then again, Ratchet appears to be shorter then most women in the series like Talwyn which I honestly never understood! 😂

4:45 - Maybe if they had lived there as long as Neftin and Vendra have in Ratchet's dimension if we're going to consider comparing Lombaxes to Nethers.

6:23 - But it's suppose to cover half of Ratchet's head and be white like in the 1st game. 😕
7:30 - Maybe to have leverage over Ratchet. Have her bring the Lombaxes back in exchange for Ratchet to not get in her way. Same with Tachyon when in the end of Tools Of Destruction he offers Ratchet the chance to be with his race or to just stay and suffer.

One of my other fan made stories was about Ratchet ending up in the Lombax dimension and learning some things about his kind that he feels ashamed of being a part of them. For instance, one of the Lombaxes had killed a guy who helped them out, mainly because of the guy's leader being evil and power hungry. But that is just me, if you want to hear more on this, just let me know.

Man , I wrote a storyline about a new ratchet and clank that the lombaxes will appear and I hope insomniac see that work but first I have to add some modifications and more ideas to make the story clear and unambiguous
Perhaps the Nethera are mutated Cragmites? I mean we do not know to what type of Dimension the Cragmites were exiled to, perhaps they were sent to a dark dimension that was filled with dark energy that mutated their particles, turning them into dark energy. They probably needed Lombax to fully escape their dimension (seeing that the Lombax are the only race to successfully travel to other dimensions) and force the Lombax to retune the Cragmites to their original selves. Perhaps Vendrá is an experiment, like in the real game she was seen there as a young girl to able to adapt and survive that dimension, perhaps Vendrá is a failed experiment that the Cragmites tried in order to see if they could return to their original bodies?
Well Tachyon was able to bring back some Craigmites in Tools Of Destruction. Seeing as how Craigmites were banished eons ago, then retaining their form in Tools proves otherwise no?

I know I am late, but the art and style of the Nexus artwork really reminds me of the Jak 2 art style. I would have loved having them go a darker route with the style.

Hey VIVI i really gotta ask you, since kingdom hearts is your favourite game series, is square Enix also your favourite game developer? For me I know it definitely is because they really put so much effort into their games and even if they don't always turn out great, like ff13, they also try to put as much content into their games as they can. But they've been around for a long time haven't they? Unlike insomniac games which is extremely understandable in their case.
Square Enix is not my favorite, I do applaud them for what they have achieved. Insomniac Games I'd say is my favorite due to their interaction with fans.
Fair enough. Insomniac games are definitely great but I kind of think they make two many games compared to one likes naughty dog and sucker punch, who sort of spread out their games more and focus on certain franchises at a time. But insomniac is still amazing!

With Rivet now being canon, female Lombaxes do, in fact, have tails. Angela either is a bobcat and is very small and can comfortably fit between her cheeks. She had hers surgically removed, or was born with a defect.
I'm going with small, with the female Lombax society preferring long tails as they would be more sexually attractive. Cause reasons.
What if Angela actually lost her tail during protopet experiments?
@@VtnVivi That could be true... It would explain one plot point of how Angela discovered the Protopet's people-eating tendencies. Angela's tried to eat her while her back was turned at a testing facility.
To be honest there are two things I'm expecting I love the concept by the way I honestly need to get this book they make a sequel after into the Nexus revealing ratchets race or they make the reboot and we learn more about Angela cross and what she knows about the lombaxes that could be epic man I hope we get a sequel to the Nexus and they don't have to give up on the reboot series they can do that and keep the old Series going and tell the story in two different ways I did find something interesting though they were talking about why did Azimuth not I did find something interesting though they were talking about why did General azimuth not fix the dimension atar himself he was the head of lombax research and he knew more about the device there are so many different ways the story could have went if you know what I mean but in the end of Ratchet & Clank tools of Destruction tachyon open the dimension to the lombax race you can see that they were building a civilization as the buildings in the background of the portal something tells me that they didn't know tachyon was dead and just decided to stay there they could come back at any time but the only way to get there is with the dimension atar I don't know if I spelled that right which leads me to another conclusion could Angela cross fix the dimension eater if she was still in the Bogan Galaxy I don't know if I spelled that right either LOL my first decision would be go to General azimuth but he died in crack in time which leaves the only other lombax in that Dimension is Angela cross she must have known that about the dimension atar cuz she was looking for it with Max apogee so she must have known how to fix it if it was broke
Also have you ever been a fan of Pokemon at all? I honestly never really got into the games but I love the anime show and pikachu is just adorable and so funny too. I can't get enough of him. And the games coming out on switch soon, lets go pikachu and Eevee look interesting too.
Used to play Pokemon stadium on N64. Watched the anime as a kid :P But I'm not really a fan.
Fair enough that's okay I wouldn't consider myself to be the biggest fan of it either but its really cute I think and far from the worst anime show too could watch. Definitely better than a lot of those ripoffs, excluding digimon.

Mabbey there will be a game where Ratchet finaley go to the Lombaxs dimsion. And that we got a hole planet of a Lombax city. And that we will see the back story in a flashback? Or that you can play as kaden in the flashback? And that that Kaden in the game is just a Rachet skin?

Here's what I'd like to see, a remastered collection of all games on PS4 aka HD port. That way, newcomers get into the lore of the original timeline. With that, they continue post ITN :P
