Cheers and thanks for your kind words and sharing. I would suspect being tall lifts your center of gravity higher but nothing too drastic to affect drumming :D
You're one of the MOST real drummers and teachers out there. And not to mention, you inspire me (and Im sure the rest of us), for not using any other technique besides good old ankle and (hard work!!!) for your bass drum speed! I have a question that I would really hope you could help me with. How do I play two quick sixteenth bass notes at 100bpm in a groove? Or rather, would using the basic ankle technique be possible? No swivel, slide, heel toe etc.
Oh yeah it's possible at 100bpm but I still recommend slide for one leg. Because so many songs go to 150-160bpm involving single leg doubles. And slide is easier to develop good power hence I use it over heel toe. ua-cam.com/users/shortsD-rfjTLyNAs?si=EAN4jlgnRZnJuUE3

what does that mean - support? your upper leg is supported or not supported by the seat - what does support mean here? were lifting the leg in both cases so...

Lower seat = upper leg leaves seat contact sooner every lift.
