This Lexus IS 250 was EXTREMELY dirty and hadn't been cleaned for over 2 years! The exterior was covered in dirt and mud and had a pile of iron contamination on it! Extensive cleaning and detailing was needed to get this Lexus looking brand new again!

Hey Mitch, just a question. Yesterday I saw a guy take a pressure washer to the permanent carpet of the interior of this car they were detailing. Have you ever done that or considered doing that on any stubborn stains?

I've always wondered if he details the plates separately too
Its moreso the drainage areas from the rear window around the weather stripping in the trunk that collects a ton of dirt. I usually get mine separately being that I've got an outback and can't really get in there well with a pressure washer. This car seems to let a lot of water in through where you lift the trunk from though, it usually doesn't work out that way.

I would be "itching" to do a headlight restauration on this one, mostly because one headlight is so much more damaged by sunlight than the other. I'm guessing the customer didn't want that done, for being the perfectionist that you are, I think you'd also like to to them?

Lexus headlights quite often do go yellow on one side more than the other
My IS220D is exactly the same, right side worse than left (UK)
I was extremely surprised he didn’t. I’m much the same, personally, I would have fixed it, and not charged the customer just because my ocd wouldn’t handle leaving it like it!
I’ve heard that some LED bulbs with certain plastics of headlight assembly lenses can yellow the lens. I too was itching for him to restore the right headlight especially. I’m past it now, but being a Type A personality, “phew” it was tough! 😂🤯⭐️😊👍
I agree. Short of a paint correction, restoring the headlights would’ve dialed in this car so much more.
I cleaned my spare bedroom and organized so much stuff from a move and it took about 9 hours. Your videos and the background music helped make that happen. Thank you for such a badass mix and consistent video flow.
When that Lexus was finished being detailed it said “ I’ve never had it so good “. Another amazing detail. The powerful moment for me was the bug guts not moving when you power washed the front. Then sprayed with DG bug remover and BOOM! Bug proteins gone ! Great work. Love the movement on the new DG business. Can’t wait for you to film your first vehicle in the DG man cave with Eagles music playing in your earplugs! Awaiting my next wash meditation session.

These videos are truly educational. Today I realized something else. There were a couple of remarks that made me think it would be really interesting to just sit down and talk with Mitch over lunch about anything but detailing. He seems to be an interesting and intelligent guy.
Detail was worth every Penny. The beginning and end of this video is how my Lexus was and now is. The guy before me had it looking like the before’s in here and the after you can’t even tell it’s the same car. You killed this keep up the work your doing good!

There was a time that condoms in the back seat had meaning, but, the sheer physics, and age itself put an end to that (They are a LOT more handy in the bedroom). That, and when I was young, i sure as heck wouldn't want MY miscreant friends in the back seat finding those! As always, Mitch, great work!

As for that Lexus, you did a great job. I saw one comment down below where someone said why didn't you restore those headlights? That passenger side was itching to be cleared of it's yellowed, foggy, oxidized lens lol

I spent 8 bloody hours trying to clean the inside of my car last weekend, and I didn't even get to the carpets. These videos are so satisfying because it looks so lovely and I wasn't kneeling in a freezing garage for hours to get to look at it. Whoever decided beige was a good interior colour for a family vehicle deserves a smack upside the head.
That car is in amazing condition given the amount of km on the clock ! If it had factory wheels it would look like brand new !!

Oxidized headlight should have restored too, to finish it up.
It's not a matter of should have. It's what the customer is paying for and that's it. If they want it restored then pay for it. If he starts handing out freebies that now becomes an expectation by all customers and he will lose money like that.

Seeing him power wash the rims was so satisfying, especially when he got the dirt inside the rim out by sticking the hose inside to reach past the front.

I know you touch every inch, and with your level of detailing, I am sure you absolutely clean the engine bay. In the future, you mind adding that content. I used to own one of these cars and I freaking loved it. I wish they were just a touch bigger inside. I’m a tall guy and I just didn’t fit in the car - was giving me back problems after 6 months of ownership. Sadly sold it, but I’ve always loved the way this generation of IS looked.
