In Texas the best way I found to remove mud off of my frame is to go to this river south of Dallas and it’s perfect for burnouts and it cleans my frame but not everyone is lucky as us Texans
I used to own an auto detail business some 20 years ago. Still to this day, throughly cleaning a vehicle and making it look better than the day it rolled off the lot, relaxes me beyond belief. I had a stressful day today and your video, beginning to end, took all the stress away as if I was cleaning that truck myself. Awesome work.
Hi Kevin, I'm trying to assist my younger brother and set him up with a detailing business he can do while his finishing his studies, could you assist with a breakdown of how you charged for your service. Would really appreciate any assistance. Thank you in advance.

Outside of the dirt, I can't believe how much rust is in there too underneath the truck. I'm sure if the cars could talk they would say how much better they feel.
I bought everything in your shop I used it to detail on my cars they turned out beautiful they turned out like they came out of the dealership after looking at the results in them I almost cried in tears of joy

I feel like this transformation is a testament to the process you've developed over the years. I thought there was no way the Truck could look as good as it did by the end, but you followed the same steps you always do (perhaps with a bit more elbow grease than usual), and it came out looking great (considering the condition of the vehicle). Really well done, as always! 👏
okay, so hear me out. ive been detailing for a couple years now, and one of my favorite transformations are the engine bays. nobody ever seems to focus on them, and they can easily be a selling point. do you do them? if so, any chance you could start putting them in videos? I’m happy for the owner of this truck the best thing he could’ve done was bring it to you straight away. Sounds like you got a great deal and I’m sure you made it look great. I haven’t even got done watching the video yet. Looking forward to the end.
I am a student in CSU Fresno, i bought a 30 year old truck for like 2.5k a few months back, it is a Ford F 350, that truck is 14 years older than I am, i am a first year student, i still take care of it so much, i almost wash it everyday and keep the interiors clean, i also bought some expensive car freshners for it, the bad boy works like a charm
It shows what kind of person you are. You appreciate that vehicle. The owner of this truck just treats it like a disposable truck. Probably making big payments on it.
Man, you definitely have a Ph.D in car cleaning back in college I used to think that my care interior was very dirty but after watching your videos mine was spotless clean. Regards from Cairo, Egypt
A wee tip I learned was for really sandy or dirty carpets, put an orbital sander on the floor without sandpaper on it, the vibrations agitate the dirt and makes it so much easier to vacuum.
Yep we used one but I usually get whatever loose dirt is there and then use a foaming carpet cleaner and let it soak a little then run the orbital over it a few times before I vacuum it a second time. Makes a huge difference and really freshens up the carpet especially if there is discoloration from mud or salt.
I love how you give a used and abused vehicle the same care and attention as a newer, slightly abused one. I don't blame him for wanting it cleaned so he could use it. I wouldn't have wanted to even get in it and drive it home without some PPE. Nice job! One of the other channels I watch based in Ohio said in his video yesterday that he wished the Detail Geek was closer so he could bring you his trucks! He said his son is a fan of your channel.
After seeing the driver's side wheel-well and all that mud, I was really looking forward to you Bissel-ing the hell out of it. Bummer. Bet the original owner is kicking himself now: he could have cleaned it up and sold it for a lot more! You truly are a miracle-worker.

My dad used to own a car yard before he retired and I worked there too sometimes, just cleaning the cars for pocket money. I saw some dirty vehicles but nothing like this truck. You did an AWESOME job dude 👏 Love from Amanda in Australia ❤️
I’ve officially become addicted to these videos. It’s so satisfying to see this guy clean these vehicles to make sure that they look their best when he’s done with them. Incredible work indeed.
I honestly didn’t think the carpet would come that clean on the vacuuming. 😱 I thought you might just blast it all out with the pressure washer!🤣🤣🤣💜💜💜 Astounded by this transformation and great client reaction!!! Thanks for sharing this nasty beast with us! And hi to Mike!😁
I'll be getting my first car soon, just got my permit and working to get a license, and I'm so excited to start detailing it and such! I always love watching car accessories videos and detailers like you and get myself ready watch out for and know what to get/wash.
I wish you would show the extraction of the drivers floor since that is typically the nastiest piece of carpet in the vehicle. Really enjoy your vids though and really admire your work ethic and attention to detail. Great work.
Yes!! I was so excited to see it and then sad. Also he did not show steaming of the pedals this time too. I think The Detail Geek underestimates how long a video we will watch....
I know that some detailers will pull the whole carpet out and pressure wash it, so I was thinking that would be faster with a carpet this dirty, especially there on the driver’s side. It probably takes longer to dry, though. Extraction can only get so much when the filth is penetrating the carpet to the floor underneath.
You should do a video of how you first started ? How you got customers here and their to grow your business? What did you start with? And how did you go about doing it all?
It's 3am here in New Zealand when these videos come on and I always make sure I'm awake to watch them. So addictive 😍 Always look forward to seeing what each week brings. Highly impressed with your work
I feel a bit bummed that the truck beds of trucks that gets cleaned out get skippped over. Would love to see that too. But wow! Awesome transformation as always!
Moral of the story: have a proper detailer work over your car before you sell it. A few hundred bucks of professional work could net you thousands in resale value.
I like the fact that these videos gives life lessons. No matter how challenging or hopeless the task is, with a little bit of determination and willingness, things can be done. Don't give up guys. Whatever you are going through 😊
As dirty as this truck is, it makes me glad to see it so muddy before cleaning. This was a real work truck, and the new owner also intends to use it that way. Way too many people buy F-150s just to look “cool” and “manly,” then use it on nothing but picking up groceries, parking badly and revving at traffic lights. It’s an expensive, powerful, gas-guzzling truck and should be used as such.
I detail my family’s vehicles and even did it for awhile for a job. I still can’t believe the integrity you put into each vehicle! You can tell you do this for the start to finish product rather making a quick buck!
That steel wheel (driver's rear) worries me. All those weights in one spot is either a defective tire (bad casting) or a bent rim. Outstanding job as always!
it looks to be a spare and considering you should be driving rarely with it i dont find it to be too much of a problem, couldve been laziness on the tech to not rotate the tire so the light spot of the tire and heavy spot of the wheel meet or vice versa, sometimes you cant put weights on the inside for various reasons and that makes the outer side heavier, sometimes wheels are just garbage, but i think this was a laziness factor to be honest
Incredible amount of work was needed to turn this truck around…and you delivered, as always. Even recharging the dude’s dead battery! 😊 Impeccable work ethic, Mitch.😊
I truly love watching you clean these insane vehicles! Cleaning for me is such stress relief, so seeing these amazing transformations is what I usually fall asleep too 😅
Your videos inspire me and give me tips on how to keep my personal vehicles looking better. I’m nowhere near a detailer, but with a pressure washer, and the vacuum and spot cleaner you recommend, my cars and trucks look pretty darn good. I’m sure it will help when it comes to trade in or resell them. Thanks!
Our work trucks all look like this. These trucks make money, they are just tools for the job. I want to clean one for more personal use just looking for ideas. I had no idea it was possible.
Wow… just wow! I am blown away by the phenomenal work this guy does. He never fails to make even the nastiest looking vehicle look amazing, keep the good stuff coming man👌
Just have to say I’ve recently discovered your channel and been binge watching your videos, they’re so relaxing and really help me just chill out. Admire your work, keep it up ☺️
Thank you. Im wanting to do this to make side money. Appreciate you putting all the stuff and products and what to use unlike other channels. Appreciate it.
Also another question, watching you do the carpets for hours, til theyre almost new, and then going to steam the dash seems counter productive as the grime then flows, falls, and flies down onto the already cleaned carpets. Do you edit the videos in the exact order in which you perform the detailing? Just curious, as it seems I notice quite a few instances in your videos where gravity alone would predict the order in which you would want to perform your steps. Awesome videos!
I heard him answer this in another vid. He does the dash after because the tool he uses to clean the carpet sprays the debris around in the process. So he does the dash second to avoid having to do it twice
The one piece of advice I would highly recommend is to watch out when using steam cleaner on door panel speaker covers. The steam could seriously damage the speaker cones, glue separates and creates an issue with speaker.
@@daltex81 and you can always be stupid and ruin the speakers instead of taking 2 minutes to pop off the door panels. that was a seriously brain-dead response.
I’m new on here and catching up on all these videos and I’m so hooked! You’ve probably answered this question, but how do you dry the seats and carpets and how long does it take? I’m so amazed how clean you get these vehicles. They look new again! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
I love how he just takes his time to clean the car or truck that he has to clean and he tells us the type of car and tells us what is in this is the car. He is such an amazing guy. Thank you for making the world a better replace
I've watched a few of your videos and really enjoyed them. I was wondering, though. How long do you let the carpet and seats dry before putting the interior back together? Also, have you ever had any issues with door speakers or other electronics using your steamer or other products?
He disconnects the battery before doing any cleaning, so the electronics are okay- as long as they have the chance to dry or completely before being electrified again, they should work fine
The Detail Geek is a car healer. He heals cars. Takes the cars and trucks that are ailing and sick. Turns them back into transformed mechanical beings. And the people who see what things can be like, then makes that real, are visonaries and master craftsman. These people are far and few between. When you see their professional artistry though, you know they belong to a special class of people. Committed. Detailed. Refined. Soulful. Healers.
amazing job! question is about how long for the seats and carpets to be dry after a deep cleaning like this, and have you ever had any issue with the steam used in the interior causing any damage to issue with the electronic components or moister staying in a/c vents. Thank you for all the great content.
I'm not an expert but I would assume steam evaporates much quicker than if you just sprayed water on it. Also with electrical components you don't really harm anything as long as there's no electricity running through them, also a lot of the "live", unprotected areas of wires are normally pretty hidden away.
Man.. your skills never cease to amaze me. I bet there's not many detailers that would have even taken that job on. You really took that truck from zero to hero
Great video. Even dirt cheap, I would pass on it. Someone that abused the truck like that probably never changed the oil in it or kept up with maintenance. Hope it lasts the new owner a while.
ik first hand what an abused ford is like to own; because of how the previous owner never cared to clean or maintain it, It throws random check engine light codes when ever it feels like even though it runs fine. Modern trucks can't take being covered in filth to this degree (too many computers for that); Noones vehicle can unless its a construction machine.
This is a business I’ve ALWAYS wanted to set up. I’m in the UK and we don’t have this type of market (at least not as many people with cars like this). I love watching this as I’m a real clean freak - I love deep cleaning!!
Holy s*** this guy ALWAYS delivers on making us think, how in the s*** does he pull this off?😁🤙 Brother we love the results and love the channel All the way from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
Man I can’t even find the words to describe how the truck went from looking like it belonged in a junkyard to a brand new truck rolling off the dealership lot back in 2011. You definitely have the golden touch when it comes to fixing up disastrous cars👍
Awesome job, if it was my truck, I would definitely replace the cabin air filter and clean the A/C ducts out. I’m sure the heater core probably has caked on hair and dirt as well.
It would probably be smart to do something about that underbody rust; get a new rust proof coating sprayed on it. Even just a few coats of rustoleum underbody spray would go a long way to helping preserve it
Is it me but when he is vacuuming and he misses this one spot and it just drives me crazy and at the last second he is like haha 😂 gotcha and vacuums it right up and a sudden flow of relief and calming comes over me and I know at that exact moment everything is right in the world

I figure there’s a lot that happens off screen, but I’ve always been curious. Do you clean up under the hood when you do your details?
I believe I’ve seen on an older video he offers it as an additional service but not everyone opts for it with their cleanings.
I've always wondered the same thing! I feel like that would be satisfying to see too
If you pay for it.
I think the improvement with just a shop vac and some patience is the wildest every time. Strong work as always from the Southern US!
It's 3am here in New Zealand when these videos come on and I always make sure I'm awake to watch them. So addictive 😍 Always look forward to seeing what each week brings. Highly impressed with your work
Hey from NZ Auckland as well!😊
@GABRIELLA bot
Wow the up holder really showed how clean the truck now looks .AWSOME
The vacuuming is always my favorite part. Good job Mitch, you never cease to amaze👏✨✨
I feel a bit bummed that the truck beds of trucks that gets cleaned out get skippped over. Would love to see that too. But wow! Awesome transformation as always!
And the driver floor
Moral of the story: have a proper detailer work over your car before you sell it.
A few hundred bucks of professional work could net you thousands in resale value.
Noted
I like the fact that these videos gives life lessons. No matter how challenging or hopeless the task is, with a little bit of determination and willingness, things can be done. Don't give up guys. Whatever you are going through 😊
Honestly, you made a difference that makes that truck worth giving a bit of bodywork to. Stunning work !
Don't even get me started on the short people driving them
Why does it matter? As long as they’re not being an asshole on the road who cares what they use their truck for, it’s THEIRS
@@user-ql3el3bq2v bad for the environment, loud, and simply a waste of money
@@alsikepike5686 Now we can say that about the same people who use these cars no?
@@timbowalk14 Short people can drive whatever the fuck they want try worrying about your own problems
As the owner if a 2011 F150 that looks brand new, my heart hurts for this truck. 😂
I have a 2014.
we have a 2009
You could hear it sighing with relief when he jet washed it.
I have an 07 Lariat that looks showroom, even with 170,000 miles. It pays to take care of your vehicles.
I’m not quite halfway through, but you’re vacuuming the carpets and to be honest, just the vacuuming alone is making it 1000 times better
I detail my family’s vehicles and even did it for awhile for a job. I still can’t believe the integrity you put into each vehicle! You can tell you do this for the start to finish product rather making a quick buck!
I don't think there is another vehicle detailer in the world that can do the work Mitch does in these details. Amazing work👌
Guy doesn't even pre Foam the car first... he's a youtube detailer, not a real pro
That steel wheel (driver's rear) worries me. All those weights in one spot is either a defective tire (bad casting) or a bent rim. Outstanding job as always!
i don't think ive ever seen that many weights on a wheel, i wonder what's on the inner bead?
There was weights at 12 and 7 on the passenger front too
Whoever put that many weights on had NO idea what they were doing. That wheel or tire is junk and needs to be replaced!
it looks to be a spare and considering you should be driving rarely with it i dont find it to be too much of a problem, couldve been laziness on the tech to not rotate the tire so the light spot of the tire and heavy spot of the wheel meet or vice versa, sometimes you cant put weights on the inside for various reasons and that makes the outer side heavier, sometimes wheels are just garbage, but i think this was a laziness factor to be honest
Yeah, that made my OCD act up lol
Thanks!
the snow in the background makes the truck looks so much better than it already does🔥🔥
makes me sad to see how many people neglect their vehicles. love what u do man!
Our work trucks all look like this. These trucks make money, they are just tools for the job. I want to clean one for more personal use just looking for ideas. I had no idea it was possible.
People like to treat their cars/trucks like a second trashcan with food and other junk left in the car. Just filthy
@@JGarrison51285 probably not the type of people who enjoy these type of videos:)
It’s a farm truck
@@meliss9536 the owner climb in this filth everyday ifc what it’s used for it’s disgusting
Amazing transformation. I was a bit surprised the owner wasn't more shocked at how good it looked. Also, I loved the guitar outro.
The one piece of advice I would highly recommend is to watch out when using steam cleaner on door panel speaker covers. The steam could seriously damage the speaker cones, glue separates and creates an issue with speaker.
Legit good advice
You can always replace the speakers
@@daltex81 and you can always be stupid and ruin the speakers instead of taking 2 minutes to pop off the door panels. that was a seriously brain-dead response.
I’m new on here and catching up on all these videos and I’m so hooked! You’ve probably answered this question, but how do you dry the seats and carpets and how long does it take? I’m so amazed how clean you get these vehicles. They look new again! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
The carpet shampooer sucks up the water and it leaves it damp
Air drying for a couple of hours usually does the trick. As long as the muck is sucked up, the dirty water doesn't settle to leave a lingering smell
Dehumidifier and fan inside the car
I love how he just takes his time to clean the car or truck that he has to clean and he tells us the type of car and tells us what is in this is the car. He is such an amazing guy. Thank you for making the world a better replace
wut
WOW. Wow. That is EASILY one of the best transformations! So satisfying. I'm glad I didn't have to do it - I bet it was tiring!
Loved when the steam goes in one vent and out the other. Now that's some deep down detailing!!
The way you detail is considered a skilled trade, imo. Craftsmanship. Good work.
Do you ever detail the engine bay? I'm sure a lot of people would love to see what it takes to make an engine shiny again :)
He's already done a video on that. ua-cam.com/video/FUGMDov3hXc/v-deo.html and 3 others on his other channel.
It has been shown in several videos, one using steam, other with running water.
The condition of the non-powertrain parts makes me wonder how well the engine/transmission was maintained.
Im sure it throws check engine lights every other day too because of its obvious abuse.
@@sixpest it’s clearly a work truck lmao. it’s not meant to be pretty😂
I was wondering the same thing!
I'm not an expert but I would assume steam evaporates much quicker than if you just sprayed water on it. Also with electrical components you don't really harm anything as long as there's no electricity running through them, also a lot of the "live", unprotected areas of wires are normally pretty hidden away.
I always get so anxious to see what they end up looking like, that I fast forward them to the end, and then watch them from the beginning. 😁
Man.. your skills never cease to amaze me. I bet there's not many detailers that would have even taken that job on. You really took that truck from zero to hero
Cab corners and this dude has a sharp truck. Really love watching the transformation. Great as always
Already a die hard fan this just moved you up a couple notches!
Dang, this was a great one!!! Kinda sad we didn't get to see the driver's footwell extraction, I bet that was super gross! Keep up the miracle work!
Me too! I was hoping to see him tackle the driver's footwell as well! But he's always awesome with the attention to detail!
That doesn't even look like the same truck. I have seen all or almost all of your videos and know you do good work. This one was absolutely amazing.
Thanks for being such a great instructor
Great video. Even dirt cheap, I would pass on it. Someone that abused the truck like that probably never changed the oil in it or kept up with maintenance. Hope it lasts the new owner a while.
Here in NY, if the body/frame is not rusted out, its worth it & whatever money put into it
ik first hand what an abused ford is like to own; because of how the previous owner never cared to clean or maintain it, It throws random check engine light codes when ever it feels like even though it runs fine.
Modern trucks can't take being covered in filth to this degree (too many computers for that); Noones vehicle can unless its a construction machine.
One of the things that baffled me was the amount of wheel weights on that driver rear wheel
I seen that bruh
@@PatrickBateman88 same man holy shit 😂👀👀
That rim must be badly bent, or damaged. However seeing how that Rim is the factory steel, most likely spare tire judging by the other alloy wheels,.
Right?
I was looking just for a comment about it 😂😂
Incredible transformation! It's nice to see you clean a "not so perfect" vehicle!
This is a business I’ve ALWAYS wanted to set up. I’m in the UK and we don’t have this type of market (at least not as many people with cars like this). I love watching this as I’m a real clean freak - I love deep cleaning!!
Holy s*** this guy ALWAYS delivers on making us think, how in the s*** does he pull this off?😁🤙
Brother we love the results and love the channel
All the way from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺
Man I can’t even find the words to describe how the truck went from looking like it belonged in a junkyard to a brand new truck rolling off the dealership lot back in 2011. You definitely have the golden touch when it comes to fixing up disastrous cars👍
It took me months to realize that APC meant all purpose cleaner 🙄
But this transformation deserves an Accadamy Award. Man....
If he makes them a little bit longer he can get a Best Picture nom 😉
APC means that 😱
my brain always thinks it means “apple cider vinegar” for some reason
Omg that definitely deserves the badass music.
Awesome job, if it was my truck, I would definitely replace the cabin air filter and clean the A/C ducts out. I’m sure the heater core probably has caked on hair and dirt as well.
It would probably be smart to do something about that underbody rust; get a new rust proof coating sprayed on it. Even just a few coats of rustoleum underbody spray would go a long way to helping preserve it
@@Dana-oe1ne I was thinking the same thing.
I would love to have seen the garage cleanup after this job!!
Is it me but when he is vacuuming and he misses this one spot and it just drives me crazy and at the last second he is like haha 😂 gotcha and vacuums it right up and a sudden flow of relief and calming comes over me and I know at that exact moment everything is right in the world
🙄 Sounds as if you need serious conversations with a psych pro if something that simple messes up your head!!! Yes, it is YOU!

Your are not alone. Mitch...Mitch you missed that....then...gotcha as he vacuums away the offending schmutz.
Same! Lol like I stare at it, then he goes back over it and gets the spot, and it's like, ok, we can resume. 🤣 it can't be perfect with a missed spot of dirt hanging out in the middle of the floor. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
Wow, honestly just wow. You have some serious talent to get it looking that good.
