for me is a scam if you put 4k in the Amazon product detail and later you get just 1080p , hey manufacturer just put 1080p period , be honest with own your products
That was one of the main reasons I decided to agree to do the review. I had to know whether it was actually what it claimed to be. “If something seems too good to be true…”
4K projector at this price point is impossible but there is a lot of projectors that will not accept an HDMI signal from 4K and down converted to whatever the native projector so it just lets you know it's compatible and it's been like that for years before all these cheap crappy projectors flooded the market honestly there's not many native 4K projectors for under $5000 they're all shift-based because the chip of a native 4k is very expensive
That was a really fun video, thanks! I reckon one of these would actually be extremely useful: I'd use it for when I'm setting up my system and need a display on my screen but am always a little reluctant to put hours on my JVC's bulb (and sometimes I do spend *hours* setting things up..!).
My kiddos have been getting into movie night in the back yard. Would love to have this projector for that experience. Love your channel and really relate to your journey though home theater!!
This would make a great outdoor with my screen the recently purchased just haven't been able to get the projector yet for the side of my house the kids and grandkids would love it
This is not a bad deal at all to use for like an outdoor sporting event watch party or for the kids bedroom for sure. I'll keep this in mind, thanks for review!
Hi thank you so much for this review, I ended up buying one off of eBay used for only $60 and got a steel of a deal. The only thing that is a deal breaker for me is the distance is too short between the screen of my projector, it has to be 10 ft or less for a 100 inch image. My question is, what other projector in this price range between 100 to $200 would you recommend that will give me a 16 to 20 ft range. I need to go for my wall to my other wall and have 16 to 20 ft to play with. Your advice would be greatly appreciated
I would love to have something like this! even if the quality is not good, I like to watch class B movies from the 70s - 80s and many of them aren't really on Bluray or even HD. It's hard to find cheap projectors here in southamerica so this one seems attractive to my eye and wallet hehehe.
This would be great for camping trips and hanging up a sheet for a screen. Kids would dig it. And the adults could easily show off pics and video from the days mountain bike adventures later in the evening
I would definitely use this in my living room for fight nights or other major sporting events. My apartment has a built in shelf behind my couch (viewing position) and I recently thought about putting a projector there lol
I have a three-car garage with a giant blank white wall. I don't have a television there yet, just a smart speaker. This video projector would be mounted on the ceiling near the garage opener motor and plugged up to the 4 plug electrical socket. I think it would be perfect for watching sports on Sundays with the neighbors.
I have a pretty old 720P (native) projector that looks great. For a native 1080P, this looks great for the price. It's just amazing when tech comes down in price.
Ther are so many good projectors at that price point. No 4k just 4k support but they have sealed optical units and much better brightness with auto focus and key stone. Nexigo and vizony. Some even have Google tv but i prefer firestick or roku than their os. Plus these are so much easier to put in the back yard for movie nights. I have one on my ceiling i use for all the games mostly watching football basketball or playing ps5 on a 100 inches is awesome.
Pretty cool actually. You can pair your phone so you don't need to connect a player up. You can plug in headphones so no need for a reciever and speakers if you don't want. Not bad.
Awe man.. the ONE video of yours I didn’t watch and missed out on the giveaway!! Lol 🎉 I’m really surprised with this thing! Good performance for very little $$! We def coulda used this for our family room in our rented TH for when moms and I bbq/make dinner and wanna watch some football or show we may both want to watch (which is usually never the same thing and watch in separate rooms) 🎉 nice video. Btw. Is that big black box your subwoofer? I swear I didn’t think you had a big sub in there…
They could sell just fine advertising it as a true 1080p projector as most scam ones advertise 1080p but they're like 480p. I'm still using a Mitsubishi 800x480 projector I got from a school sale. Just hard to find a decent deal on something with a 1.41 throw ratio. 600 ANSI lumens, not too bad for a bulbless projector. My last LED one was only 100 lumens.
Probably take it to camp and watch Jaws by the lake. Also, have a resort close by called Crystal Beach and my son loves Halloween and horror movies. Friday the 13th would be a must!
this would work out for movie night at home nicely I think - either in the basement or in the backyard. one comment about the video though - the title mentions "4k" but when you're doing the opening - it shows native 1080p on the box - so it's not really a 4k projector.. or is it?
thanks again - I got the projector and set it up in my basement (for now). Connected a fire stick up to it and it's running from the usb port on the projector - so it's great so far. I'm going to try and it out in the backyard once I get a screen. Thanks again!
I am starting my journey with projectors. Looking for a cheap high lux projector to use at the school I teach special effects at. At this point we are just screwing around. Any suggestions?
@@GeorgeTheaterAtHome I am paying out of pocket at right now as the projection is a side project for the students. It may be used this years production or not- I really do not have a reference for cost. I have a ton of video converters to vga/rca etc so Im good with old gear. Lets just say shoestring :)
You had fun doing this. I started doing Neighborhood movie nights durning the pandemic and purchased an XGIMI Horizon Pro for just that. This year I finished the basement and the projector is mounted. That little projector would be perfect for those neighborhood nights without me having to pull down my projector.

Totally agree!
That was one of the main reasons I decided to agree to do the review. I had to know whether it was actually what it claimed to be. “If something seems too good to be true…”
Maybe they just put 4k on the box because it can accept a 4K signal but it down converts it?
Currently looking on Amazon for my partner and totally agree. Yeah, cool, 4K decoding... it's barely 1080p...
“4k Support” means input only. 1080p actual output.
This would be a cool little projector to have for movies outside. Small, easy to pack and move around.
Looks like an ideal unit for impromptu movie nights on the patio, light and small enough to put away when not in use.
That was a really fun video, thanks! I reckon one of these would actually be extremely useful: I'd use it for when I'm setting up my system and need a display on my screen but am always a little reluctant to put hours on my JVC's bulb (and sometimes I do spend *hours* setting things up..!).
Great video, thank you! As many have said, this projector would be great to use outdoors. Quick and easy setup.
Great video. May I know what is the maximum angle can the projector be side mounted? How far left/right can it go?
My kiddos have been getting into movie night in the back yard. Would love to have this projector for that experience. Love your channel and really relate to your journey though home theater!!

This would be great to take on an RV trip for movie nights.

This will be for my 12 year old daughter’s bedroom for her sleepovers. Thanks for the content. Keep up the great work.

Outdoor party fun projector for me...
Very nice projector for my bedroom, it's all I need...

New subscriber from Philippines have a nice day very interesting videos Love it
Thank you!🙏 So glad to have you here.

Hola gracias por tu tiempo. El proyector lo utilizaría en mi sala: lo colocaría para proyectar adelante de mi tv LG C1. Bendiciones
I’d use a few of these for a dome projection system for my x-wing simulator cockpit. It would be an upgrade from the 2 old 720 projectors I’m using.
This would be great for my kids robotics team. They have to crowd around a laptop to watch videos, but with this they could project on the wall.
Cool thanks for offering this “4K” projector. Would really come in handy in replacing our slowly dying HD TV 😁
Great video looks like a good projector for the price i'd use it in on my white wall for sports and movies.
Nice projector, it would be great for gaming an a big screen!
I have a pretty old 720P (native) projector that looks great. For a native 1080P, this looks great for the price. It's just amazing when tech comes down in price.
I could use it in my build. Never had a projector.
great vid. my kids will love this
This would be perfect for a college apartment. We would have loved something like this for movie nights!

It would be cool to display Halloween or Christmas themed videos on the windows 😊
I could use one of these for easy outdoor movie nights 🍿

Yep, that is my sub. I’ve got two 15’s. Hopefully I can do some more giveaways in the future.
Great video. I wish my JVC weighed about the same as a pair of shoes..!
I would use this for the kids room for sure. Try connecting a gaming system to it to see how it performs.
it's nice for an entry level HT.

I agree. Best to just advertise it accurately to what it actually is.
Outside on the deck would be pretty cool for those nice evenings u just want to sit outside but still want to watch a movie
This would be perfect to pair with my PS5 cause I currently have it connected to an old PC monitor that is in need of a major upgrade!
I would use a projector like this for my Halloween and Christmas decorations, then let my kids use it after the holidays
That projector would be a good gift for a kid or adult that hasn’t tried a beamer.
I am curious can you use this to project a ghostly apparition onto a net or sheet for halloween ?
Should be able to do that
Great giveaway!❤ I would like to have one if these "portable" projectors on our deck. Perfect for the kids after dark.
Probably take it to camp and watch Jaws by the lake. Also, have a resort close by called Crystal Beach and my son loves Halloween and horror movies. Friday the 13th would be a must!
would be cool fpr my new studio apartment. :)
Outdoor movies with family and friends.

Yeah, the Amazon listing says 4K but if you read the fine print it says “4k support.” Kinda deceptive IMO, but for $147 waddya expect 🤷♂️?
You won the projector! Email me and I’ll get it shipped out

So the projector still blowing hot air a little bit too much in maybe in small room? It looks bright in that room
I was surprised at the brightness of the image
This would be perfect for when the grandkids come over for movie night outside while making smores.

I'll project it onto a big wall of snow.
Haha I love this one!
I don't have a TV which movies on attendance tablet Android so would be a game changer for me
I could use it at work for fun
This would be great for camping or just in the backyard. Hope I win 🤞
I would give it to my friend.
