My relative managed a Goodwill and they send all of the valuable items to their auction site. Sometimes something valuable will slip through or come back from the auction site but the Goodwill bins may be the only chance to find things that are valuable

So pre pandemic I thrifted weekly for years. I found a Ted Baker silk shirt, a vintage Galliano raincoat, Prada shoes and maybe 5 or 6 Betsy Johnson items but this is over about 6 or 7 years. I might have been able to find more but I wasn't looking specifically for luxury - just looking for my personal use and for gifts. I think you can find things but usually only things that have slipped through the cracks and it's not something you'll find often
Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
I hate those resellers who just stole the chance for other people to find designer or even good quality higher end stuff
Why? Their money's as good as anyone else. Anyone who wants to line up outside the store before open has just as much of a chance of finding the good stuff.

You have to go early in the morning right as they open. They put most of the stuff put before open. They do put stuff out during the day but the best chance is when they open

The resellers (in my area, at least) get there right when they open so they can find these designer items first. If you tried mid-day, I recommend going right when they open. But yeah, it’s also just luck, which is part of the fun - and frustration, haha 😋
I love the treasure hunting part! Used to go with my mom to garage sales all the time growing up and never know what fun things we’d find! All part of the fun!!
ind high-end designer items without even trying. I, myself, have found Dior, Hermès, Prada, Gucci, and more in upstate NY. It’s all about consistency, being the first to arrive, and going through every item on the rack. These thrifters are there multiple days a week. Honestly, if you searched right behind me, I’m sure I would have found designer items.

Wow girl thanks for the video it was an eye opener for me. I have been to the thrift store many times and have not find any designer bags. Like you I find designer like low end designer. I prefer to go to the outlet if you want designer bags, and I am talking about the low end like coach and Michael kors. I prefer only to spend maybe $100 because that is my only budge when it refers to designer bag. As a military wife that is the budget I give myself.
I live in NJ. The closest Goodwill near me locks anything of value in a case so unless they miss something it would never be on the racks.
Most of the luxury purses are being sold on their website or the employees reserve it for their family or friends👍

A lot of the Coach you see are made for Coach outlet stores so not as nice to begin with. But a fun way to spend the day.

All I keep thinking is "Why would anyone drop off something that expensive (that they could sell for a lot of money) at a Goodwill to be sold for 10 dollars?". Granted, I haven't been to the US so I don't know how it works there but the only second hand stores here that sell those expensive brands are stores dedicated to second hand designer items - and they come with the price tag to match (definitely not 10 dollars).. Sounds like another one of those "too good to be true"-things to me.

7:19 Tommy Hilfiger is a luxury designer brand,it was created in 1985. It doesn't matter if you think it isn't a luxury designer brand because it is,just because it isn't popular in your state doesn't mean it isn't popular in other states
So is Coach and Tory Burch and she did not deny this. But she was going for the thousands of dollars luxury designers as in the examples she gave. Plus, it was to curate an outfit for her in her size and the jacket was not.
There is a huge diferrence between Luxury and Premium. Tommy Hilfiger is considered Premium and it is definitely not high-end at all. But I guess you are a kid, so that explains a lot...
