After8 months, I love mine, put on flatwounds, prof setup and has the most buttery bass tone I’ve gotten compared to my solid bodies, great for rock, hip hop, you name it. Mine has a deeper reddish finish. Take it surfing. 10/10.
I hired a Gibson EB-2 just for one gig once which I thought was great. It had a very deep tone which really suited my style(assuming I've got one!). Since then I have had my eye out for an affordable semi hollow bass. This could be the one.
I have this bass! It truly is beautiful! Needed a bit of set up work and a bit of fret levelling, but apart from that it us easy to play and sounds GOOD in every position! The bridge isn't the best. It HAS a centre block, so why NOT set a fixed bridge into the top instead of a floater? I am going to get a BASS tunomatic bridge to sit on top of those feet to make for even better intonation! BUT these are minor things! I also finally received last week the RB414CSB Rick style bass! Well built and sounds very good, the bridge will beed to be reengineered to make up for the lack of back angling on the neck setting! I can't get a low enough playing action along a lot of the neck, so the bridge & saddles will need to have several mm of steel ground off the bottoms, along with the grooves in the string roller saddles to lower it to a comfortable playing height for me! It's still sitting at 4mm @ the 12th fret! TOO high!
I need this in my life. So groovy, so boomy. The one question is how come the neck looks so dark here, and so reddish/light on the Thomann entry ? Ok, who do I need to convince to make a 6 string baritone using this "formula" ?? PS great playing as always Sophie!
Can you play at home on the sofa without an amplifier? I would take it just to practice without connecting anything, but I don't know if the acoustic volume at least makes me understand which note I'm playing. In addition, the noise of the roundwounds could be even louder than the notes played, it is mandatory to put the flatwounds, it is also heard in the video in the first piece above all. I didn't want to buy a pure acoustic, too bulky, plus this I could also use it live, obviously amplified.
What color is the bass in real life? I see pictures and videos of this one, with colors going from a latte brown to a wine red and a rootbeer burst, yet they're all designated "WB".
Great. I have tried to find the WEIGHT of this bass, but it is nowhere to be found. Can anyone shed light on this, preferably in kilogrammes? Thank you so much. :-)
If I could get this in an off-white with gold hardware, I'd pay double what it costs now. This bass is so cool but I just can't get past the color 😭 Or maybe like a blonde with black hardware? Anything!

was the intonation originally far out? is it loud as an acoustic bass, and does it feedback with the f holes?
Can you get the action really low, can the neck be cranked down pretty far?
Nicest bass I have seen from Harley Benton so far. It sounds as great as it looks too. Great demo Sophie !
Thank you kindly!
Has a good clean sub. Perfect bass sounds to sit underneath instead of potentially getting in the way.

Love a good hollow body

They don't make these in LEFT HANDED..... if i buy a righty and turn it around + a professional set up - will it be okay?
I guess you can just flip the strings, like Jimi Hendrix did(i believe he did that, atleast)
Does it come in a long scale neck?
currently not

Yes, you can.
Holla Harley
Hola :)
Non fixated bridge?
would love to but it but there's no shipping to Russin on Thomann
How's the sustain for country bass playing and is it a deep bass tone not treble like you would use for jazz?

Классная гитара. На нековом звукоснимателе нежный, мягкий звук, на бриждевом - жёсткий, злой. Круто !

why don't you guys make a version of the JB 75 with golden hardware
@HarleyBentonOfficial yeah right.. Pretty LeGiT
I’ve been considering buying one of these. Sadly, a decent case costs almost as much as the bass!! 😞
Imagine paying for a gibson official
Anyone got one of these and noticed the bridge pick up is way quieter (mines about half the volume of neck pick up)
could be a grounding issue. had the same issue with one of my other harley benton basses
Does this come in left handed?
Yes, turn it upside down and restring it. 🤪
@@SignificanceOfThePassageOfTime oh ok, what about the tone and volume knobs being in the way?
Story of my life, knobs always getting in the way 🤪
I need the shape of the Hb-60 in a guitar model😩

38 to 40mm nut width should be standard in any bass.

Your loss
Has the problem of feedback when tone is up full been resolved yet?
