If that's what you like
Your lesions will blur the line

Entwined till there's nothing left to strain

Courtney.... You are my favourite female vocalist. As a disabled fan, it took me a long time to say this, and as someone with autism, it's pretty hard to say here... But your work means so much. The passion and authenticity is something I can never express. This gives my feelings life and speaks loudly all the words I can't say. Thank you.
👏🤟🤘‼️
And a few more 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏‼️‼️
Nicely put mate 👍🏻
Well said 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Fuck yes
Just the pure fact she sounds exactly the same as on record is mind-blowing, absolutely adore Courtney as a human being & vocalist.
I offer my life
Cursed in this shrine
Broken roots entwined
And I feel my insides breaking down
I bury it in time
I want to be part of light
Detritus open up my mind
If that's what you like
Your lesions will blur the line
I, I had a dream of schism, force the Rule of Nines
Living in premonition, flowing from
The same place I learned to give in
It's such a strange place so full of opposing forces
I, I had a dream of schism, force the Rule of Nines
In time I learned the rules of a sadist
Entwined till there's nothing left to strain
No body full of pain to take from
They said it's a cruel world
I learned the rules of a sadist
So I lay myself down in the shape of a body
I live in the figurative
I want to be part of light
Detritus open up my mind
If that's what you like
Your lesions will blur the line
I, I had a dream of schism, force the Rule of Nines
Living in premonition, flowing from
The same place I learned to give in
It's such a strange place so full of opposing forces
I, I had a dream of schism, force the Rule of Nines
My shrine
Premonition die
I learn to give
You forgot “I did it”
Merci
Premonittiiiiiooooonnnnnn
God that girl!!!!Awesome
Thank you for the lyrics \m/
Her at breakfast: "Mom can you pass me the S-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-LT!.... thank you".
LMAO
man!!! what a great fucking idea. gotta try that!
Hahhahahahaaa
😂😂
haha this made my day!! xD
I’ve known Spiritbox for a little over 12hrs. Just farkin WOW. Give me MOOOOOOOOORE.
what an amazing transition from her harmonic beautiful voice to the screaming. so impressive !!!
I liked the part with the singin' and then the screamin' 🍔🍔🍔🍔
🍔🍔🍔🍔
but did u liked the part where she did some screaming and more scream?
I like your hamburgers.
@Hopper S I Member
Gotta say while that was really good, I liked the more singin and more screamin even more than the singin and screamin.
Just cant stop listening to them. Such a great band. Just enough melody, just enough screaming, heavy enough, soft enough, they've just hit every spot perfectly. Very welcome breath of fresh air.
Boy am I glad someone recommended me her! I gravitate towards mostly male vocalists, she's one of very few that just hit the spot, everytime!
I've watched this video like 40 times in the last couple years and I still get chills like 5 times per listen
As soon as she started screaming i got full body shivers
yooo the lows sound even better here than they did in the studio recording, jesus
I love how her movements are so mellow when she sings, and when she is screaming her posture is pure strength. Absolute raw talent. Keep up the awesome work. 👍
I can not get over how beautiful her voice is
When I first listened to this band the other day, my mouth dropped open when she started screaming because I wasn't expecting it and also because I was floored by how good she was!! ❤
OMG SAME, I was standing with my mouth wide open for a good minute when I first heard her screams!!!
absolutely nailed the "Jon Lajoie" impersonation at the beginning.
Your overall skill level is absolutely phenomenal!
Ahh those canadians :D goodness only
Jesus I forgot about that guy LOL
Hahahaha
I have watched this video 97 times upon discovering it yesterday, and Im genuinely in live with her vocals
I love Spiritbox so much! The way Courtney can make her cleans and screams blend together is amazing!
Damn. As if we needed MORE proof that you all are a stunning band. INCREDIBLE work Courtney.
I will never, ever forget my first concert with you guys!
It were in a weird basement in Copenhagen this march as a support act to After the Burial. I stood nearly by my self two meters away from Courtney when she looked me strait in my eyes and screamed like the world was going to end. And I think it was this song, if im not misstaken.
I´ve nerver felt so alive before. The energi end the comitment, it was someting else. Thank you guys so much for your music, its freaking awesome!! Hope to see you again somewhere in the world!
Much love from Sweden!
Why is Courtney literally the most precious woman alive. The ending gets me every time. "I did it."
Discovered Spiritbox at Knotfest Sydney earlier this year. Since then they have become one of my favourite bands. Cannot stop listening to them, and these Live one takes are absolutely amazing my god. I still get goose bumps listening to them.
This band will be the one to bring it mainstream!! And don’t HATE when it happens!
I guess jinjer did and doing more or less the same.. and they are also kickass!, and yea.. spiritbox are kickass too😉 👌🏼
Look up Harper on AGT.
No matter how many times I watch this video, it will always hold up as one of the best one takes I've ever experienced - those screams are so fucking deadly.
I only discovered this band yesterday. There's no words really to describe this particular song. I can however say that I have had this, Holy Roller & Belcarra on repeat since yesterday :O
So cool watching you switch styles back and forth. I can't even fathom the skill, talent, training, and practice that must be involved in not destroying your vocal chords.
I’ve watched this 100 times back to back... like SHES amazing. Literally, I’m in love with her.
Pretty sure I've never been so immediately obsessed with a band like the first time I heard Spiritbox. The groove. The vocals. The spooky scary, artsy fartsy vibe. Holy hell so glad I stumbled on them.
Clean vocals : perfect
Screaming : perfect
I appreciate the fact that the screaming is so acurate, we can perfectly understand the lyrics, whereas lots of metal screaming are not understandable if you dont read the lyrics at the same time
So... just heard about this band and let me just say. Wow! It's been a long time since a band has captivated me from the first listen. Best way for me to describe them: Everything all at once!
🤘🔥🔥🔥
OMG!!!!!
this is so good... the screaming sections are just outstanding!!! Am I trippin or it sounds much better than the studio version??
God..... I love this song and this band and this girl... AHHH can I like this video 100 times?!?
Idk if is just me but i feel hypnotized by Courtney's voice every time , she is amazing as well as the rest of the band love the feeling of the songs.
Just amazing how effortless she makes this sound. The voice of an angel with the soul of a demon. Her lyrics are crazy as well. Match perfectly with the shift between singing and then screaming/growling.
Love it!
Beautiful and gifted. Spiritbox is amazing, so much to their music. I love her screaming vocals so much.
Best metal band out right now IMO. Her vocals are awesome. Her screaming tone is so good. Perfect control. That ‘Premonition!!’ That starts at 3:19 is so dirty.
I actually felt like i was beginning to cry when she started screaming. It just hit me differently. This is insane!
I'm so happy to have found this band I suffer from depression and this band give me life
A voice truly touched by angels and demons, you are amazing, this performance truly moved me so thank you.
Courtney has got some PIPES! One of the best vocalists in metal or in any genre. Hands down. Can’t wait for the 3rd of July! Holy Roller. 🤘🤘
i think Tatiana from Jinjer has got some competition....
Dins Ceravs It's not a competition. Don't treat it like a joke. There is room for many more just like them.
@@CikisHelyzet No jokes here.Collab between them both would be something mindshambling. And i hope to live to hear them all :)
I would love to hear a collab between Courtney LaPlante and Dan Tompkins from Tesseract.
Dan is my FAVORITE! That would be amazing.
agree when listening for the first time she remind me dan, they have a similiar clean voice style
DANG...I never would've thought of that, but you're absolutely right! That would be amazing!
The... "I did it" at the end seals it!
wow. not sure how many people understand just how difficult it is to swap between singing and screaming as smooth as you do. Your style of singing is so tender and soft in comparison as well which just makes it all the more impressive :S Your breath work is amazing
I’ve never seen anything like this before. My friend shared this and I just clicked and watched.
I’m aware of the genre but haven’t really paid much attention to it. I play more soul and funk stuff.
I am absolutely blown away by her vocal control. I almost can’t even get my head around it. Pretty amazing!!!
Check out some jinjer bro... Try tatis one take vocal song judgement and punishment
The vocal control is so incredible!! Live one take, and the vocals are, IMO, better! That is pure talent
Epic.
your not wrong
No! Me!! Me first!
Completely masterful vocals. I love the soft breathy parts, smashed by the super dynamics of the screams, and then back. I'm a fan Courtney. Nicely Done!
