My hubby goes down our street and clears all the drains to the main street. he shovels the junk and stuff onto the boulevard. Sometimes he gets a "thank you", but mostly no. If the neighbors would clean up the area, and over the drains, it wouldn't flood like that! People just don't give a damn anymore. He says "while I'm alive, I'm not gonna let my streets flood." and he's almost 75 years old! Soooo, I am telling you now: THANK YOU for all you're doing! STAY HEALTHY AND SAFE! May YHWH BLESS YOU!
It's not even inconsiderate - it's stupid unless they have free maintenance for their cars. Driving thru water at speed can damage the car body or get water into the engine intake - neither of which is desirable, the latter could make the car stall.
I grew up in the Detroit area In the 50’s and 60’s when Detroit was a city to be proud of. With citizens like you caring for it Detroit will once again be one of America’s great cities. Thank you caring and sharing.
You need to be recognized by the news media for your selfless contribution to the city of Detroit. More things like this needs to be on the news . If I knew how to get this video to the news people I would . I don't have a clue of how to do it . Great job .
Hi Amelia, you may want to contact your local news and ask them how you can share this video with them. I would think they would have a way to help you with this❤️❤️
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this. The folks that drive Detroit streets & freeways every day, when it rains & there is literally one lane open.... God Bless you & yours for helping keep your fellow Michiganders safe & travelling home in a timely fashion. You are absolutely amazing -- I wish I could give you a great big hug for all you do!!! God Bless You!!!!
The sounds of the traffic with the sounds of the water draining are amazing. Too bad those drivers did not have any courtesy of slowing down. Thanks for sharing and love the video views close to the water drain. Be safe.
They just don’t care. It does not effect them directly. ‘I’m the Master of my own little Universe, in my own metal box! S€&$w the rest of ya.’! MeMeMeMe.! When I see people doing this, I ALWAYS hope water gets into their engine and it shuts down in the deepest spot!!!!!
While I agree, sometimes driving in a larger city you don't even look way to the side of the road, just straight ahead at what is going on in front of you especially when there are poor road conditions. Not excusing them, just saying some may not have even noticed him there until it was too late, especially those closer to the center line.
So pleased that you are out in all weather working to keep your community safer. I am dissapointed that the businesses facing the road are not acting to clear the drains. Surely its in their interest to make it easier for customers to access the stores.
Was this the storm rain that flooded I-94? Also, you'd think that cop that went by could've stopped and turned on his lights to help keep you safe. Just sayin'. You're doing a good thing out there, I really hope people are appreciating you. I know I would.
Seems there was quite a bit of an oil sheen on that street water? Not good... stay safe! Great that you take the effort to help out here and care for your community!
Yes, he does. Post is out on logging roads calling them streets. To be honest. I'm sure Post has shamed those towns into double time on keeping those drains clear.
Agreed! That drain was at maximum flow and it would take a long time to bring that water level down. My gauge was watching the underwater grass, with just a bit above water. Didn't change much.
That's because he spends half the time just staring at the same drain without trying to further unclog it or find another to drain. Large streets have multiple drains for this purpose. He also uses 1 handed motions ALL the time because he never puts the camera down, which means he barely moves anything because he's holding the camera and doing little more than pawing at the grate - he's more interested with filming it all than actually draining it.
Wouldn’t be right if the drain wasn’t in the worst spot 😄. And on the cars that tried to splash: may their pants be infested with the fleas of a thousand camels, and may their arms be too short to scratch!
Just think.....if every homeowner or business owner that had a drain cover in front of their property would just walk out and clear out that one plugged drain, the streets would be much safer 🤔
All those drivers must think your only playing in the water. They should be stopping and thanking you for this. Be safe when doing this as lots of drivers show they care.
Wish I could have actually heard you clearly on the video but mike was too far away. And I would have liked some shots of the center line or something to let us see how fast the water was receding. But great job and great effort amongst the car showers! Thanks for what you do. Subscribed.
Somewhere in the universe Post10 is watching this with tears of pride and joy seeing others taking on the task of the Master's work throughout the world! 🙏👏👍👊💪🔥💯🌊
Man with rake strikes again. Brilliant. I thought the local council would be responsible for the maintenance of the drains. Still satisfiing watching it swirl away.
A small act with an enormous impact. I don't live in Detroit, but thank you anyway. And may the mindless fools that sped by you be blessed with shorted out ignitions.
In the future, before the next flood, maybe paint a bright dot or arrow indicating the location of the drain to locate it easier in the future. Great job by the way.

the underwater shot actlually turned out pretty cool. y'all should maybe try working in some underwater shots close to the vortex, I don't think anybody has done anything like that, am I right?
That area is flooded out every heavy rain....and of course we have folks like these who care that drivers are safe...so they drain the roads...too bad the ones who deliberately spray you wouldn't have all their tires go flat at the same time !
I'm sure what you doin is much appreciated, but the city SHOULD stay on top of that. At least put up "water over road" signs, until someone can get to it. Nicely done! 🌞

Post 10 hasn't been putting new flood videos like this up lately. So I've been getting my fix from your channel. Thanks for the awesome content!
Too many culverts imo lol
I just had to stop watching him ,seems like he was getting full of himself and full of shit !
He does so much maintenance that the roads don't flood anymore
thanks
I've got more videos uploading soon
I can’t believe how inconsiderate people can be, driving through the water at that speed. Thanks for doing what you do!
Post 10has had some soakings too from inconsiderate drivers.
It is, but it is also so fun to drive through!
@@hollandaise84 More risk of aquaplaning/hydroplaning also. Just hope that some of the road hasn't washed away.

Detroiters don't gaf. I live outside Detroit. Crazy ass drivers here.
One of the best whirlpools I've seen on these street draining videos
On behalf of all the ungrateful buggers, I thank you from across the pond!👍✌️👋🇬🇧👏👏👏
Remember folks, this is in Michigan. Any car going less than 55 mph is legally considered to be parked.
55? I thought it was 155?
@@meseksbelanger8638 🤣🤣🤣
That is outrageous 😮 from Australia…ridiculous
Any car going less than 55 is likely to get carjacked. Welcome to the D! 😂😅😂😂😂
Is this like the idiotic thing with “is a jeep thing we won’t understand “? !!! Because this is looking idiotic like that!
No need to apologize. You performed a valuable service for the community. And we thank you for it.
Neh, he removed a perfectly fine natural speed limiting device from this nasty stroad.
Isn't it crazy how much trouble and damage a thoughtlessly discarded Tshirt can cause?

It was great to watch and people like you who do something to help your city !! Great work , now go have a drink !!!
any time someone helps to make roads/life safer for others it spreads a very possitive message. Just getting it done. thnx D.D.G, you guys rock !!!
No wonder Detroit has such lush green lawns and trees.🍀
It's amazing how a few leaves, sticks or bits of litter can cause a flood like that. Well done on cleaning it up.

I’m betting that garage you were in front of was very grateful to you for doing that 🙂
I LOVE street flood draining. You did such a great job capturing all my favorite parts. I especially appreciated the down low shot! A++
Wow, that was a big road flood! Awesome job. Fascinating to watch the whirlpool change direction too 😁 I'm sure your efforts were appreciated.
not by the drivers, who did full speed still while he is helping. ahole drivers
I'm amazed at how much rain Detroit gets. The storms must gigantic if streets get that deep under water. Thanks for all you do to keep others safe

Oh how I love it when the whirlpool starts goin, im watching this while unblocking our local drains in England 👍🏼
I love these videos maybe because I know these areas and it’s good to see somebody doing something nice for the community 😊
Thanks for doing what you do. It's amazing that there are paid workers from City of Detroit that should be doing this but are no where to be found
Good work. So satisfying to watch.
Seems there was quite a bit of an oil sheen on that street water? Not good... stay safe!
Great that you take the effort to help out here and care for your community!
There's something so strangely satisfying about watching this. No idea how I ended up here but enjoying it.
So strange to see the city I lived in 50 years ago so changed. Sad. Love the videos. I watch the videos and go.."oh yeah, such and such street."
I grew up 1951 - 1961 three blocks from there on Santa Rosa and Fullerton. Great work for my home town, fellas!
The camera angle of the street view where we can see the whirlpool and the progress of the street draining is simply awesome!!
Keep up the great work!!!! Post10 fan here, but youve got the flood championship belt right now!!

@@stanstenson8168 I'm very sure Post 10 has shamed those towns and cities that he hasn't posted a video of a municipal drain in a while now
Post is out pissing beavers off lately.
Rain coming my way today and tomorrow -- I am a bit east of you. I have been out pre-gaming the drains to get the last load of leaves lol
It must have been a huge area that was flooded. In 10 minutes time the water didn't seem to go down at all despite draining SO MUCH water

Yow, you’ve got to love that gas and oil sheen on the water. Don’t strike a match!
Certainly all the cars had their chassis washed there 😅
Wow amazing whirlpool. Just subbed. Cheers🇨🇦
Thank you for your hard work!
That was quite a whirlpool, nicely done
Awesome result. Just a man and his rake. Problem solved x
Very good work done by you, keep it up my friend
Good work.
My sympathies for living in a city, let alone there!
Well, these is not a movie. And to have a guy to come and try to do something.... He is great. Appreciate him very much.
Good job finding it, they will appreciate your efforts 👏
Great job! That Goodyear shop should have rewarded you with a comp LOF and tire rotation!
Back again for a repeat viewing and what a lot of water , Very nice to see it going as was deep.
Fantastic work sir, epic whirlpool !
Another fine job by the orange rake man. Keep on raking in.

I was sad i didnt get to see the last parts but the dinosaur with pink painted nails was worth it!🤣
Nice vortex! And long lasting.
I used to clear drains blocked by falling leaves in the autumn (obviously). It's a really satisfying job.
You're doing amazing work
Love how that small car at 1:36 slowed down to carefully pass the flood only to get splashed by the pick up track behind him
Primo swirls
Great job, Post10 would be proud to call you son.
Wow! Amazing! Awesome video
Awesome whirlpool, very satisfying to watch! 👍
wow, that was a LOT of water and a pretty big whirlpool once you got it started!
Great video 👏🏼🇦🇺
Way to go Detroit. Man that was fabulous.....
Drains (if put in properly) will always be under the most water. It’s best to install drains at the lowest point.

In the future, before the next flood, maybe paint a bright dot or arrow indicating the location of the drain to locate it easier in the future. Great job by the way.
Paint where? On the flooded streets?
It's amazing to see that so much water can be stored in one place. It's just going and going, and you can't really see any difference at all.
Great drainage video!
Great job so relaxing fun too see the outcome 👌
I like your Rake. It looks like it is perfect for cleaning the Grates.
I thought for sure once you got the unclogged it was gonna take you down with it. Way to go 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Good job citizen! Thank you!
Hello from Grand Rapids MI
Great whirlpool action. Some people were driving so fast.
I like the videos, but maybe back up from the drain so we can see the street draining. It's very relaxing though, thanks.
When you see that oil sheen on the water (and so much for so long) you get a grasp of how bad that is for the water going into the lakes and rivers
You did good. Very good.
Thank you!
