Fixed my problem with your help. Thank you very much. The previous person had mixed up the common wire with the rose wire. Simple fix when you know how.

Hello. What if you want to add two more lights to this arrangement, but you don't have access to the ceiling rose. I currently have this setup for my bedroom light with 2 double gang two way switches either side of the headboard. I want the second gang in each switch to control a reading light on each side of the headboard, but problem is what do I do with the neutral wire. I can't run a new 3 core and earth wire to the original ceiling rose. Hope this description makes sense.

I have a two gang light switch with 5 wires, 3 Red/ 1 Yellow and 1 Blue.
The switch is meant to control the sitting room and the hall way, but is only controlling the sitting room at present.
I have noticed that only 2 Red wires are live and 1 Blue, is this normal ❓
Does anyone know how I can sort this out myself❓
Also since this problem started the garage lights do not work, in have changed the build, checked the light fitting and reinstalled an new light switch, so I guess it is down to the loop wiring and the two gang switch must have stopped the circuit.
Any help would be appreciated, and thanks for the video upload.

With this the life wire should jxt get straight into one of the common terminal and switch wire into other common then ur stripers l mean two wires liking from L1to L1 and other wire liking L2 to L2

Main line or live is to connected to the switch from ceiling rose . Or there is only line (live) wire at the switches Neutral only at the ceiling rose not at the switch. only permanent live is going from the loop in a ceiling rose to the switch and returns as a switch live to ceiling rose to the terminal where brown wire from bulb is connected. If you have a neutral conductor at the switch then all is wired at the switch not at the ceiling rose. Hope it helps

If youv not got new wiring colours post 2005 ish then your gonna be in a spin when you take your switch off and find a red and black cable could be old conduit style looped in at the switch also or other methods twin red twin brown , i wouldnt bother with this tutorial just get a electrical chap in

commonly...... that's not a 2 way switch....... it's a 3 way switch you used...... that connection method you've wired in is a 3 WAY CONNECTION not a 2 way connection........ i am an EIM NCII ELECTRICIAN and that's our trade test and examination anyway....
