Thinking about those towns 150 years ago: I suspect they never guessed there would be long haul heavy truck - trailers rolling through narrow streets. I liked how one of the towns had set back the intersection limit lines so large rigs could use the entire width of the street turning. Happy travels.
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary. Driving through the rain and the less attentive 4 wheeler. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.
Thanks for sharing Big Man ! It was enjoyable as always, the rain is always interesting, the four wheeler❔️ its always nice to hear facts of where you are going to or driving through❕️ Hey? do you think the four wheeler knew they were in the wrong? Well not wrong? But being a pain?😮😂 Keep em coming love the camera's on the far ends and down low! The sound of ORWELL gearing up 💋 sounds awesome. ✌🏻❤️🇨🇦.
Well now, what do you know! A white collar guy just jumping into that telehandler and no messups. Must have _just_ been promoted or was there at the beginning and never forgot where he came from. 🤔
Not necessarily: I've delivered at companies where managers had forklift certificates so they could help out when things got hectic or when most of the staff were on holidays. There are people in office jobs who still care about the "blue collar" people, although they see to be becoming more and more rare.
It has been awhile, but I use to run frame pieces from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to that exact JLG and tow trucks from just across the WV state line over to Juliet, Illinois. Rinse and repeat, miss those days actually..
I love your camera angles everytime I watch they are always different and the in cab one is awesome cool stuff man keep up your great great video up my friend 👍👍👍👍
When my ancestors first settled in Pennsylvania back in the 1700s and the early 1800s, I can guarantee you that you can think of the mountains, hills, and weather without buildings and instead little wooden cabins built by hand from the forest provided to make them and horse drawn everything with some of the best cooking and natural foods this side of the Alleghanies before they migrated from Bucks county over to what is now Pittsburgh and Fayette county along the Yough.
Would of been easier to go through that light in town and make a left after the grocery store. Getting to JLG is congested with that Sheetz station at the bottom of the mountain.
I know those windshields in Orwell are straight up and down pretty much. And rain-x makes a glare. At night and rain. Your wipers aren't delayed. 81' freightliner 6V Detroit. Was same
Steve, you are an old soul!! Just like me! Yeah, they didn't have all the tech back then, but look where it's got us today!!! Hardly anybody could survive in America if they lost most of the modern tech we have!! Most people have never gotten their hands dirty, raising a garden,, a cow, or chicken!!! lol!!
hi Steve, Have you explained in any recent video as to why you use the digihud display over the mounted peterbilt speedometer? Is it an accuracy thing, even not would it be a nice insight to see the total miles on the truck?
Also the tach on these big rigs rolls over after 999999 back to 000001. You wouldn’t be able to accurately tell anyway, but Orwell likely has a couple hundred thousand over a million miles.
I live in the Phoenix metro area, and when I travel to places like Flagstaff or Tucson, I wonder how people lived here in the late 1800s with no A/C, and traveling by horse, wagon, and train.
Talking about 1700s and 1800s... I really would like to know.. how many people died digging their own wells or putting brick all the way down. What was considered a safe distance for drinking water.
Sometimes I wonder if the US had started with diesel as primary fuel, how much more affordable would it be now? Different refining and additives. Could refineries be giving us LPM and charging refinery $$$ ?
man I was hoping you had enough camera battery to film going through the tunnels on the Pa turnpike. I always get them mixed up- the double set over by Somerset or is it a single by Somerset & the double is before Harrisburg. but anyway I was hoping you had filmed going through the tunnel
Please give us your thoughts on google maps and waze and which one you prefer I used waze only on long distance trips to see the cops but prefer google in the city or town for navigation 😊
Speaking of history can you imagine the chaos when the government announced you will need a drivers licenses to drive your car and then a social security number to work and to pay your taxes?
@@michaelgerow8383 What are you talking about? He did the change already. He went to a second Kenworth dealer to get the wiper and switched it out a few videos back.
People like that should not be driving anything because they have no clue if you couldn't stop there was a good chance they wouldn't be alive because of a dumb move like pulling out in front of you it's sad that stuff like that happens all the time and the driver of the truck is at fault
man you don’t have to go back in day for horse & buggy. we used to run up 81 to deliver in York Pa. take US15 to US30east into York. the Amish were think on US30 towards York. your weighing 80,000 and come over the hill & the buggy is on the road just clopping along. they are legal on the road with buggy. don’t you dare run that horse off the road or you in deep shit. no trucks were allowed on US30 through Gettysburg so you had to take US15 to US30. going to York I’ve seen tons of Amish on the road
Love the sound off them air wiper blades
Orwell putting in work is music to my ears!! Love that CAT sound!

Weren't kidding about a pretty drive. Thanks for taking us along!
Pennsylvania is one of the prettiest states out there. Didn’t appreciate how much until I moved away.
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary. Driving through the rain and the less attentive 4 wheeler. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.

Hey Steve! Be Safe Man! Always Nice To See Your Posts!
Great video editing really enjoyed seeing the trip from the trailer perspective and the cab.
Steve, have you noticed that the older the town or neighborhood ,the closer the buildings are to the road. Love your channel. Stay safe. Tom

It takes a special kind of person to drive a flatbed! No thanks, I'll keep driving my '53 box truck!
The older I get the more I value my life and I don’t trust other people.

Raindrops on my wind shield teardrops on my steering wheel this old truck is the only home I know
I worked for JLG in Mcconnellsburg for a long time. I installed all the Hydraulic parts. Real good money for that area.
That mountain is a mfr. Either from 30 or from 81.
Would of been easier to go through that light in town and make a left after the grocery store. Getting to JLG is congested with that Sheetz station at the bottom of the mountain.
Elkgrove Village Illinois that’s my old. Stomping grounds from my Local Cartage P& D days where ya going I might be able to help you Steve
We locals in the Carlisle area where you stayed a night . We call that stretch the Miracle Mile.

Well, if I didn't know you were in PA before the grey car they sure sealed it. Probably didn't even look.
Probably looking at there phone and not at the road
At least Orwell got a shower along with the telehandler
hi Steve,
Have you explained in any recent video as to why you use the digihud display over the mounted peterbilt speedometer?

He mentioned is video ago it’s been bust for a long time.

Tim said you should go down and do a pull together
I'm planning on it.

Give it some time and we ll be back on horse and buggie...

Hello Steve. I saw you in an other video called The Real Reason why America stopped building cab-overs. Did you know they used your video?
man I was hoping you had enough camera battery to film going through the tunnels on the Pa turnpike. I always get them mixed up- the double set over by Somerset or is it a single by Somerset & the double is before Harrisburg. but anyway I was hoping you had filmed going through the tunnel
Hello Steve,I was just wondering,do you ever get any loads coming to Kansas city or the Kansas City area 🤔
Yeah 65 N to 80/94 W is a mess.. Supposed to open in a week or 2
Please give us your thoughts on google maps and waze and which one you prefer I used waze only on long distance trips to see the cops but prefer google in the city or town for navigation 😊

Hey Steve, any luck finding that correct wiper blade yet?
Nevermind, I see that you haven't yet.
@@michaelgerow8383 What are you talking about? He did the change already. He went to a second Kenworth dealer to get the wiper and switched it out a few videos back.
@@danielseelye6005 I missed that apparently
Some idiot probably ran into it instead of putting their vehicle in reverse, they just gave it gas & CRUNCH,right into the rock foundation

Bad thing about truck driving if you don't eat right exercise and take care of yourself you'll gain a lot of weight in very little time.
😆. If it were fossil fuel it'd be Biden and a few others stuck in your tank...
Steve big man! When are you gonna put at least some nice simulators on the sy
That guy never drove that telehandler before, and didn't cheak it for oil and fluids before starting it.
He owns the place that his has surrounded himself with telehandlers. It's brand new. Nothing to check.
Turbo is sounding kinda odd
