At the lab at the university I went to we started having a diatom problem and at some point someone bought us an ozone system to clean out the water. At some point they mentioned that you started to add ozone and it got me wanting to see the update on your channel (so this has been anticipated for a bit haha). Anyway, the moron that was in charge of it did their math wrong or something and they killed all the corals in our tank haha. Thanks for the update!
I use them for years in every system, even in fresh water tanks. The small devices of the german manufacturer Sander are very durable. Never had any issues.
I'm trying it now. Having issues with keeping the right flow rate. Its connected to my nyos 220 for now. Wanted to know where you purchased the air flow meter ?
I really get a ton of great information from your videos. They're very insightful and offer more than just the basic tips that can be found on any other video or instruction set. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t know how much humidity it would take care of, but I work in an airplane hangar. We have portable air conditioning units and we probably dump about 3 gallons of condensation out over a 6 hour time span. That’s all moisture being pulled out of the atmosphere and it’s cooling the surrounding area. May help killing two birds with one stone.
I have a question. I just ordered my Ozone generator for my 130g reef tank. I’ll be running it a couple of hours at night controlled by my Apex ORP probe. I plan to run it through my skimmer and right now I have skimmer intake going through a C02 scrubber media chamber. Can I just run it from my cO2 scrubber to the ozone to the skimmer?
Yes love it .. and thanks for all the great videos. I live in Harpers Ferry West Virginia and want to make it your way one of these days question is it open to the public?
Why don’t you remotely install the unit, so it isn’t in contact with the humid air? Also, the units I’ve used are the Sander models from Germany, they’re great.
Regarding your ADJ switch panel. Can the panel be plugged/connected into Neptune Energy bar? This would serve as virtual outlet and controlled remotely via APEX to turn on/off ozone, skimmer. BUT also the switch panel is used as MECHANICAL on/off. Like you said, mechanically it's visible to staff to turn off/on but I would want to remotely control the ozone if needed.
I have the Poseidon 200 too but haven’t used it much yet. Still trying to work on the logistics. Do you run carbon post ozone? It sounds like the “off gassing” of ozone is more of a theoretical risk than an actual risk. I wonder about the risk of ozone by-products in the water. For those who do, I often wonder how frequently they are changing this carbon out. It seems it wouldn’t last long in a reef tank.
Have you guys ever tried ozone on your systems at home?
this is so cool, I remember when you were hesitant about using Ozon on your systems and to hear the benefits from a trusted source is great.

Yes and works perfect! Only benefits so far nothing to indicate a downside

Thank you for sharing your ozone journey.

Glad you like them!
I agree. This channel is beneficial!
Love it. Just started about a month ago. Zero issues.
Great video. Just started looking into it, so great timing.
Thanks for sharing this information on ozone and Great video as always
Hi, could you provide me with the exact air flow meter site?
Thanks Than the Man !
I started ozone a little while ago. I think it really helped my Dino problem.
That is great. I am glad it helped get your tank back on track.
Have you noticed difference in polyp extension after ozone?
Well now I need a break at work to watch this! I’ve been a “user” for 6 months and I’m dying to hear what u think and how u implemented.

Great job as always Than. How's Becca doing?
All good
It sure is nice to see. ❤ .
😮 Do you have any before and after? Yellow water. Yuck 😝. Clean clear wow😮

Visits are available by appointment. Please email support@tidalgardens.com to get on the calendar.
Hello from Brazil, can you tell me if I can use ozone with shrimp and other crustaceans? I really like your channel. Thanks
Yes you can!

Probably not the best device to do that. There are other things we have that are actual switches that are wirelessly controlled from Kasa.
Can you share a link to the ozone air sensor you use?
ozonesolutions.com/ez-1x-inexpensive-ambient-ozone-detector/
Than, you could isolate you ozone unit intake to draw air from outside of the green house rather than from inside to prevent the moist air issues 👍
Ohio is super humid unfortunately
@@tidalgardens ahh gotcha, would to visit one day and come see you and the facility 👍👌👍

UV will also remove excess ozone and convert to O2.
I often dream about floating in clear water 🙂
Where do you keep your Redox? Mine is around 340 with ozone.
The most we ever measured was about 350 I believe.
Takes away the smell - awww, I like the smell.
I like the dirt smell as it reminds me of the ocean but I have a separate tank that's old-school that I can sniff randomly
Thats so interesting how ozone can used to stop coarl warfare. Similar to the herb and humanity. 😮💨
