- The Navy Admirals seems to get a lot of slack from the community and today I explore my recent thoughts about them on the channel.

can’t wait till we get an arc where the admirals don’t have to hold back
Oda pointed out in the egghead about the freewill, kizaru is having second thoughts on hurting sentomaru and vegapunk because of the history they made he is a kind of a guy who will obey the command of a superior without second thoughts because that is what he supposed to do thats why he is conflicted in his decision, kizaru having no free will fought against Luffy who was the embodiment of freedom and it was probably the best in portraying the part of freewill
I find the nuances between the Marines vs Pirates to be interesting
It's easy to just see all the Marines as the bad guys, but put against real evil, there's still an underlying sense of justice and order that is desperately needed in the world of One Piece, unfortunately those few Marines have become jaded like Sengoku, Garp, Smoker even Fujitora, who acknowledge that the world is corrupt, but try their damnest to restore some order.
Then you have the pirates, which with any other writer would just been seen as freedom fighters against a cruel system, but we get both sides of that ideology, some who wish to exploit and destroy, like Doflamingo and Kaido, and those who are righteous in their rebellion like Jinbei or Law
The Marines may be the antagonizing force because they uphold the will of the Celestials and the World Gov't, but in the end, they are just following their orders in what they see as correct
One Piece manages to show that not everything is black and white; everyone has their share of good and bad people.
Garp the only one I believe is holding back
Wasn’t Garp also somewhat holding back as well, as he didn’t use moves like his Galaxy Impact against Kuzan?
Galaxy Impact has a huge AOE range but its not very strong since it left even fodder conscious, Garp used attacks with less AOE but more concentrated power vs. Aokiji
@@xXDonTdODRugZXxthat aoe wouldve been needed hes was facing the whole crew
Still sleeping on the admirals in 2024 is crazy
Agreed. But its also very strange from a narative point for oda to show us the full power of 2 yonkos yet none of the admirals went all out yet. Which can suggest admirals would be above atleast these 2 yonkos. Which is weird considering kaido s all narative
my take on that is this
When Kaido was fighting on the Rooftop he doesn’t fight for the same reasons the Admirals do , which is for fun and to have a good ass time which is why he got drunk ontop of the rooftop and started going even more off ( not saying that state nerfed him at all ) and damn near training Luffy to be in the state he’s in.
Meaning that when he fights he fights just to fight instead of going straight for the Win nonstop which is how he loses
and Big Mom was not taking them as a threat which is her fault completely but notice with the Emperors they have inherent flaws that they do not go full on out
Kaido is more of someone who likes to have a good fight and will let characters hit him to see how much damage it does
Big Mom is someone who doesn’t really take most of her Opponents serious and because she is old which is why she lost against Law & Kid.
Blackbeard is someone who takes double damage and more pain and always takes the first hit.
Shanks is more of someone who’s a pacifist and keeps the balance in a general sense so he doesn’t go off making moves nonstop ( up until recently )
That's dumb analogy. Admirals are gonna fight luffy except maybe akainu which means they will not be main antagonist of any arc. Admirals have no narrative supporting them now. They are cut clear a league below yonko
I like to divide the Admirals into tiers of power
Top tier pirates means characters like Shanks, Mihawk, Kaido, Blackbeard, Luffy,
Pushing extreme to insane diff fight with top tier pirates: Akainu, Aokiji
Really strong but loses a high diff fight with top tier pirates: Kizaru
Weakest of the Admirals and loses a mid diff fight with top tier pirates: Greenbull, Fujitora
Note: The weaker Admirals however would beat 1st commanders mid diff at best.
Okay i actually agree with 90% of your points which are big facts but my question is this
If Greenbull is saying that Admirals > Commanders and beats Injured King & Queen as a result and claims that.
Wouldn’t that mean that Shanks crew wouldn’t be at all of a Problem if this is the case since he is directly above them which would mean that imply the problem is Shanks himself instead of his crew
And if it doesn’t mean that, wouldn’t that make his statement invalid because he is clearly looking at his crew as a serious itself since because of his crew he’s not trying to engage with them ?
I would put admirals>commanders any day even featless Beckman but if an admiral is to face off 3-4 commanders at once eventually they'd get overwhelmed (excluding sakazuki) plus any character who values their life would have left wano if in the same situation (excluding kid) so I honestly don't blame him
Yo, could you do King vs Katakuri?
didnt even mention awakening😈 the admirals time will come
Am curious on your take on how strong old wb was
Future vid will cover it soon
Strongest yonko and stated to be the world strongest pirate
@@AImighty17 this is accurate from my understanding of the story
Great video
Let's gooo
Do you believe zoro can beat green or fujitora in a 1v1?
Nah Ion think so
@@ReiStormie what difficulty do you think they would win?
@@jextern7961mid or low
@@nooneneedstoknow7 why do you believe that?
@@jextern7961 obviously he is just commander level right now an admiral can handle 2 commanders at a time🙂
They still luffy victims
All 9f them can outlast g5
There's a few clearly wrong things you said.
1. The translation you cited is clearly wrong. Jozu says: "はんぱな覚悟じやあの男の前で..." and some other stuff, but it clearly references a weak will with "Hanpa na Kakugo" and specifically, Kakugo is willpower. Preparation is "Junbi" in Japanese "準備", and it is not in the original Japanese at all.
2. Oda has had characters say arrogant things that are not true, no reason to believe GB's statement on YCs being weak or whatever has any merit other than confirmation bias. It is no different than Don Krieg claiming he's the strongest in East Blue.
3. Akainu never fought all the commanders by himself. There's not a single panel in which he takes them all on by himself. Staring down and fighting are two different things. I just roll my eyes every time I have to say that something that literally didn't happen on screen didn't happen.
Jozu says the phrase "半端な覚悟" which can be translated to "half-hearted resolve" or "unprepared resolve" in this context. Akainu does fight the WB pirates which is stated later
@@ReiStormie
1. Half-hearted is the more accurate translation, not "unprepared", so it doesn't apply to GB.
2. WBP also fought the Marineford alliance which was also stated. By your logic, the WBP fought all of the Marineford Marines combined, every single one. But regardless, there's not a single panel in which Akainu fights them all.
I agree with everything except this insane Kuzan cope lmao, you cannot take the "I'm worried about your injuries Garp, why are you moving around" Line seriously, when he literally says this while squaring up to fight him. It is clear satire.
Garp says “wavering is a sign of weakness” and the old man in Skypea says “when a person cannot act without feeling guilt, he is at his weakest.” There are also other statements saying the same thing.
@@InaviseYT Garp says wavering is a sign of weakness in response to Kuzan asking him if he can fight his favourite student. It's not Garp saying Kuzan is wavering. And Kuzan himself in the statement I referenced prior is not being serious, it was clearly a satirical statement.
@@lawanimeshorts you can’t deny that Kuzan was mentally conflicted in the fight though. He also didn’t use any of his rukushiki techniques or really any ice attacks like he used in Marineford
@@InaviseYTyeah yeah every admiral is mentally conflicted they should just stop fighting and see a therapist cz fighting isn't for them. Mf always be mentally conflicted against a strong opp
@@BeAstGaming-zp4oo their job is to fight lol. It’s not like they have trouble fighting other people. Kuzan literally had to fight his mentor and kiz had to kill his best friend.
