Milton Keynes UK 1993 - Unforgivem - Lyrics:
New blood joins this earth
And quickly he's subdued
Through constant pained disgrace
The young boy learns their rules
With time the child draws in
This whipping boy done wrong
Deprived of all his thoughts
The young man struggles on and on he's known
A vow unto his own
That never from this day
His will they'll take away-eay
Chorus:
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
They dedicate their lives
To RUNNING all of his
He tries to please THEM all
This bitter man he is
Throughout his life the same
He's battled constantly
This fight he cannot win
A tired man they see no longer cares
The old man then prepares
To die regretfully
That old man here is me
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
(instrumental)
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never be
Never see
Won't see what might have been
What I've felt
What I've known
Never shined through in what I've shown
Never free
Never me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
whoa, whoa
Never Free
Never Me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
Never Free
Never Me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
You labeled me
I'll label you
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
Never Free
Never Me
So I dub thee UNFORGIVEN
takes real talent to jump between 2 guitars, switching from fingerstyle to plectrum, and singing in front of 100,000 people.
Alex Zander ridiculously talented, lots of people can play but his playing style, voice and artistic vision makes him one of a kind
i can do the switching part , but the way james sings and play all those fast riff in the same time never fail to amaze me
And people still saying: the metal is just noise
ok boomer
50,000
I was there, and still got the ticket ;)
Do me a favor and hold onto that ticket...I'd kill to go back in time and see a metallica show in the 80's and early 90's

Karl Crowther lucky son of a bitch lol.... Damn I am jealous , seriously.
Karl Crowther you lucky guy!
😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
James standing pose is so epic .
Lovely harmony vocals from Mr. Newsted! Really miss that dude
When Jason and James sing in the end, EPIC!!!
I was wondering when Jason would appear in a shot! 5mins in 😆 how I miss Mr. Jason! His back up vocals were super on point!
Most people really do not understand just how talented these guys are
Most people????? What?????
Who are these so called "most people"??
Where do they live?
How do they reproduce themselves?
What do they feed themselves?
Tonight at 9p.m. at your National Geographic Channel. Don't miss it.
Man, now seriously. Man, have you ever stopped to check and see how many people are in every footage of Metallica's shows over the last 30-40 years?? It is a sign that those people in the huge crowd of shows consider the band really talented and special musicians. Otherwise they wouldn't pay for expensive prices to see the band performing alive, right? Does it make sense for ya? Note that, even the current shows are a pack! These people understand perfectly that those four dudes are really talented. And I can assure you, man, the Metallica's audience is huge and is one of the biggest in the world. Metallica is one of the most well-estimated bands ever. But according to your comment, all this is not enough. With this said, how can you say that "most people" don't understand how talented these musicians are?
Unless you're mistakenly waiting for 100% of mankind bow down to Metallica's music. Which is pure insanity! It is impossible!!
Note that even Jesus Christ was not able to be understood entirely by the most and not able to be beloved by the majority of the mankind, then of course no one else will. You gotta understand the dynamic of the things how they really work.
I bet you must have heard some bad cretine comments about the quality of the band members and then you are taking them as if they were the majority of the opinions. But no! You're considering the exception as the rule. Wrong way of reasoning. If most people really did not understand how talented these guys are, surely their show would not be so crowded as it is until these days. And look, this band started in the early 80's and now it is 2022 and their tickets are constantly sold out. Am I saying shit lies? No, of course not.
Therefore, don't get me wrong, but just try to open your mind and also quit this idea that 100% will take something as good (or bad). There will always be someone that dislikes or do not understand certain things even if these things are considered good for many. The same is applied for the opposite idea.
Miss Jason's vocals.
I miss Rob’s tone
This was a solid performance. I like these older videos where Kirk keeps the solos very close to the original versions. These days he changes them up. I like the original versions of his solos.
He changes them up because he sux and can't handle playing them correctly, he is to worried about playing monster's in his basement and writing stupid books that nobody gives a fuck about.
naaaaah. kirk is 10x better now
DEXTER POIN I’m sure he’s a bit tired of playing the exact same solos for 30 years. I don’t blame him really.
@@jorgiewtf Not to mention hardcore fans have got to want something different after paying hundreds for a ticket
@@darrinconnor7 He fucking wrote them to begin with, have a bit more respect
gotta love that acoustic intro...perfection
apart from the massive electrical noise that spoils it
3:52 jesus christ james wtf was that voice, do we deserve you?
This song is my life. Sad but true. This song represents my struggles in life with a disability and being bullied for it
I hope u are doing much better emotionally, i never liked bullies.. i hated myself for being one before.
Cheer up buddy, u need to be around people who genuinely feel for u, not those fakes out there making you miserable.
I agree this song helped me a lot.
Back in the days, when the snare sound was just MIGHTY
The unforgiven is one bests songs in album, pearl and now classic!
this takes me back, great day, megadeth were great too, as were diamond head, got drunk and sun burnt and they played a massive set.. good times to look back on now im in my 40s
OH MY GOD!!! The girl on the right was me as a fifteen year old!!! My best mate George was on the left....I have not seen this footage before!!!
Whaaaat?? So lucky to be there!
so you're 46 years old now?
I was there . Best concert ever . Never forgot this . 🤟
I was too, good times!
Its also true that the unforgiven is about james' life
5:40 James' scream like " yeeeaah" , it s fuckin awesome
5:02 -> Jason is Here ;)
Eddie Valentinos ii
:)
Damn. This is kick ass. I don't understand why they didn't play this live more often back then
what a strange comment, they played it a whopping 225 times on the Black album tour , and 25 times on the Nowhere Else To Roam leg. Not sure how they could have played it "more often back then" lolol
Yeah they never didn't play it
First time saw them in 1993 in Tel Aviv... 3 hours of pure awesomeness
This is such a deep meaningful song to millions of people.
I miss when Jason was there with James. And when James used the classical guitar.
James still does on Fade to Black now.
@@chrisrodsa210 last few years I’ve seen him use the acoustic not the classical guitar. Even on Unforgiven. It be nice if he went back to nylon like he did back then.
@@bassican7 Yeah, nylon sounds way better. Fade to Black also doesn't sound right with steel string. I'd much rather prefer the clean electrical guitar sound over the steel string🙁
this is the best unforgiven performance ever..
You should watch "the unforgiven live san diego 1992" and "the unforgiven live mexico 2009" those are the 2 best performances of the song.
Josh Rose
I watched the 92 live San Diego
I still prefer this one
And I'll check out 2009 one
+Josh Rose couldn't agree more
México 93 is better 😁
SAN DIEGO '92!!
the Viking, James Hetfield the Best of the Best !
And there you have the greatest metal band there ever was, and ever will be.
Freaking, greatest song
Yes. Think that The Unforgiven by Metallica or Sonne by Rammstein - greatest songs ever written. Most powerful - Wo bist du by Rammstein, or most sad is En Livstid I Krig by Sabaton (genius songs, trust me)
Papa Het is a genius. When you think about rock first thing comes into your mind is Papa Het and his amazing voice and rift. ❤️❤️❤️
I remember that day like it was yesterday, sunburn, dodging bottles of piss waiting to get in. Fuckin' good times!
james' guitar hangs down to his ankles
Jacaso Asheland It looks retarded
*knees
@@MMAoracle bruh
I still dont know how he was able to play it that low
I was at that gig back in 93, I was lucky enough to be up the front. The Ecstasy of Gold came on and then the 4 horsemen came out blazing to James roaring "fuck yeah MotherFuckers Creeping Deathaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" it was like an atomic bomb went off, ah the good old days!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 METALLICA RULE THEY RULE I TELL YA
3:37 JASON....
I have always liked it. She that her shirt so beautiful with two skulls and the pants that she is wearing all black. This powerful posture and voice as she screams and sings from the soul that is a real man. 💫🌟🔥
The best man forever 🔥James forever in my heart ❤
The best concert in my life!
Perfection
I love Robert as a bass player. But Jason had better backing vocals by a mile. And of course cliff was their best bassist in all areas in my opinion.
TyDie85 No disrepect to Cliff but he was really sloppy. Jason was waay tighter but Cliff was more creative.
@@nikklazz I love sloppy :D
Cliff was not sloppy. Everything he did was by design. There's some vids of Puppets and creeping death that have enhanced bass, as well as a 12 d version of Lightning. Shows that Cliff knew exactly what he was doing, and he fits with all the other instruments perfectly.
i would have to disagree with you. Cliff was better at creating songs and in the studio and Jason was better live because of his energy and backing vocals. And Robert is very good but he just doesnt fit into metallica but its hard to fill Jasons Shoes when it comes to his liver performance even cliff would have had a hard time keeping up with Jasons Energy.
Loitering Rambler hell yeah. Totally agree.
My school mates went to this show...i missed it :(
Belleza total de interpretación.....gracias por compartir.....
ITS FUCKING AMAZING! JUST THEY CAN PLAY THAT WAY!! METALLICA THE BANDA OF THE UNIVERSE!!!EVER!!
Almost 20 years ago - from the black album tours when I saw them twice (including this one). Only two years before Metallica were support to ACDC at Donington. Anyone else remember these few years when Metallica relesed this album and GnR released Illusion the same summer? I don't think metal has seen better days since.
Beautiful concert my favorite era of metallica along with and justice for all!🤘🤘🖤
I think the live ending suits the song much better than fading out.
Also, I miss the Jason era - that's when I became a fan.
That old man here it's me ...
I was there and the buzz just gets better 🤘🏻
I remember well bro, one of the best gigs I been to especially as Metallica & Megadeth buried the hatched and played together! the first time 'Angry Again' was eva played in public (from Last Action Hero)
Enzo i miss you
Eita..época boa!
I went to the Gun's and Roses gig a week before this one at Milton Keynes..suffice to say i made the wrong choice.
no one can play the guitar and sings awesomely as james!
A+ for filming and upload.
Best live!!!
INCREÍBLE COMO MEJORA LA CALIDAD DE SONIDO CADA AÑO...
Lars really has to break this kit out from retirement!!
@Milanicachannel Amazing, I love it!! This channel is taking me right back, thank you x
2:24 run kirk run !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hetfield's all Ravi Shankar Stylie. Love this one.
PERFECT!
coming from an ex comunist country I can "appreciate" the camera montage. Brings back memories :)))
6 27 that bas 😍
Muito triste. Jason só aparece no final do vídeo.
Never free never me. The unforgiven.
3:54 james sees mustaine
Rare video?
Metallica plays this at 98% of their shows.
Couldn't resist. Appreciate it and the work you do!
Excellent
Metallica!!!
10/10
this is fuckin good , i did not know that this concert exist on video , thanks man for posting!
That snare sound dude🤘
RARE COMMENT-
I'm a simple man.
I see metallica, I click.
I just don't understand why people write "RARE" video...or sometimes "VERY RARE"...IT'S ON FUCKING UA-cam! THEREFOR THERE'S NOTHING "RARE" ABOUT IT!!!!
oldsouldyingMTL probobly rare as in not in stores, Hahahaha
It probably means it was rare before it was on youtube.
Because there´s only like twso or three original videos of this, and he got one
it's supposed to be Rare until everybody watch and then download it.. LOL
@erinef1
Thats gold that you have been seen Metallica at this year!
@erinef1 : Gosh, I was at "The Bowl" as well that day. Travelled up from
London. Super gig. Just about made it back to the capital by train alive.
Kept the concert-ticket stub. Also saw Metallica at Donington in 1991.
Aye, those were the days. Brilliant.
@KillEmAllOver Yes, I was the girl with the camera!!
I was supposed to be there.... bougth my ticket 6 months before the gig... I was so ill on the day before and the actual day I couldnt even get out of bed! Gutted! had to listen to the gig on Radio 1.... I remember the day itself was very warm and sunny.
In James we trust, all others must pay cash!
this is freakin awesome...
Nice.
I was at this concert ,fucking amazing
I was there man,wot a gig!
Man they sure look tired as hell in this, they had been on the road for over 2 years and James had already messed up his voice!... They actually sound better now than in this clip so stop saying "they WERE great" because they still rule!! and James voice is getting better and better again!
fuck ya!!sick or not-Tha show must go on!!
great
🤘🖤
Awesome video dude
The fucking Metallica i miss...💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
I was there!
A band in their absolute prime
+Andrew Mackin they are just as good now as they were way back then in my opinion
Good man.
+Robbie Murray well james still sounds awesome but not as he was, discluding the slight voice change they are better
kirk and james are more skilled at guitar now, that's obvious. same with lars
but their is one difference, the bassists were different, to me rob is the worst metallica bassist, and cliff was the best obviously
+Malik Alzaabi Lars is more skilled at drums now? Haha good one
Disney Channel nevermind. After watching loads of live shows lars is a fucktard. He doesn't have the attitude of a rock star. He just lost that passion. He plays one show perfectly from 10 in the last 15 years or so. But he is actually getting some of that love back in the last 7 or 8 months..
YEAAAAAAAAAAAH!
@midlandsmetal danm feel sorry for you :( i saw them last month at knebworth and it was my first time seeing them and they were amazing :)
What do you mean, "Who's that guy?" That's Jason Newsted! the man who
replaced the late great Cliff Burton! You do know who Cliff is, right?
Here's some more ex-members of Metallica you should get familiar with!
Lloyd Grant - Guitars (lead) (1981)
Ron McGovney - Bass (1982-1983)
Dave Mustaine - Guitars (lead) (1982-1983)
Cliff Burton (RIP) - Bass (1983-1986)
The ring... Rip cliff💔
3 Times Live...RIP Cliff
Cuando metallica partia madres, quiero escuchar algo nuevo de metallica que haga honor a esos tiempos,
at the beginning of ....the sound of my heart before Metallica :)
Are you guys still active Milanicachannel? cause I love your videos and haven't seen new ones for a while now.
Last year :c
Drinking game: take a shot every time Kirk's guitar is out of tune
Nah take a shot every time you can hear james guitar more than the voice
Then there’s no drinking’s gonna happen
