Mike Buddenhozer still doesn't have an NBA job, and seeing how bad the Bucks have been since firing him tells me that while he wasn't a top 4 coach, he was way more competent than his successors. He's a guy you can build with, with good sense and for a while. And most importantly IS available and was always better than Williams, which was just a lucky guy that can't adjust his team.
I hate to tell you this bud but Monty is here for at least another year or two

I think the Killian Hayes experiment deterred the GG Jackson pick. Although, Hayes was a more raw prospect, he needed a better situation to be in instead of being thrown into the fire. GG showed flashes, so I think after Hayes, flashes are what they wanted to avoid. I wanted GG badly.

There is absolutely zero reason as to why Monty should be coaching next season, the things he’s done is unacceptable and he played guys that have no business even stepping foot on the court, if the pistons front office can’t see that Monty is a cancer to our team then we are doomed and we will not get better anytime soon.
Honestly it would prob be better if y’all keep him bc knowing the pistons fo they’d just hire Doc Rivers 😂

I'm not very hopeful about my team's off season either.
I have a plan for the Pistons. Ivey and Ausar and possibly beef stew to Brooklyn for Mikal Birdges, Duren and our pick for Sengun and maybe Houston’s pick depending on if we have #1 or we get screwed again with #5, then we sign Malik Monk and Pascal Siakam cause we have the money to do so, then we need a backup 4 and 5, get Drummond cause he gets boards and that what this team would struggle with, and then get Dario Saric cause he is cheap and played for Monty before (I have no real preference about backup 4 Saric is just one that makes sense to me) Cade, Monk, Bridges, Siakam, and Sengun is a lineup with multiple 3-level scorers who all score in different ways in Cade, Monk, and Bridges, and Siakam and Sengun are both great mid rang/low post scorers one because of strength and the other from his great post moves and skill, and on defense this team is solid too with Bridges and Siakam being elite defenders, Cade above average, and Monk and Sengun are both alright, and off the bench we have Sasser, Grimes, Fontechio, Saric, and Drummond. Add like John Wall or someone on a veteran minimum to get 0 minutes but still be a great veteran locker room guy as well, this team can genuinely make a push for the playoffs
the rockets are not trading Sengun for the 1st pick in a bad draft class, he just averaged 21/9/5 in his 3rd season

@@landonweaver1040 not meaning to be insulting, but any GM that would trade Sengun for that should not be employed. Duren is a great young guy, but Sengun is better on both offense and defense. This is like saying the Nuggets would trade Jokic for a young Sabonis after they lost game 82 to the Wolves in 2018.
@@landonweaver1040 the Rockets aren’t even in a place where they would want more raw talent, they almost made the play in tournament in a crazy competitive west. If anything, they’d want good vets for Jalen Green or Jabrari, which is something the Pistons don’t have.

I think the fact that we're looking to hire a President and not a new GM is a pretty solid indicator that Troy won't be fired. And Monty being fired is a pipe dream given what he's owed.

Also, I recently lead the Pistons to a championship during a 2K24 Finals sim, where they were down 3-0 against the Rockets. Seeing what Pistons fans have had to dealt with for so long, I felt suddenly compelled to jump in and win them a championship. Was actually way more frustrating than fun, but I had to do it. 🤷♂
