I’m so very interested in conversions like this. A real folding stock on a real AR is a hard thing to beat.
Right on 👌👌
That is bad ass Nice to see you so excited man!
I’ve been waiting for this for TWO years!! 😱
I used the KNS rear 1913 on a BRN180 SBR build, but switching up to the SI (😑) to see if the length will be better with my sig stock. Interested in this for an AR9 that's for sure!
I’ve heard they are going to make an AR9 version. I would think that would be easier to design than this AR15 BCG.
Love how one product that follows the same concept comes out and and all the sudden oh here you guys go we are finally done with them two years later🤷🏼♂️
There have been a couple pictures/videos of these in the wild before the ARIC was released, but it is a little ironic.
@@CalebDowning one thing I’d like to know is if the law tactical is proprietary with the folder only I’d love to have more end cap options if I can
So yes, the ARIC has to be used in conjunction with the Law folder. You could put a 1913 end plate onto the folder instead of a buffer tube, but you still would have to have to utilize the folder.
I'm going to guess to disassemble the upper it's like the Q Honeybadger with the spring towards the rear like the EWS system. Where in order to install the upper you have to slide the upper on instead of pinning the front takedown, tilting the rear and pinning it down like a standard buffer system.
You are correct 👍
I am about to grab a FM-15 bufferless upper! Right on man, dig the fact you can set it up however you want, I am settling for the 9" 223 Wylde soon as they are back in stock because it's the only rifle caliber and shortest they have. Like the completely tubeless + pic rail way better than going with the tailhook and 2.5-3.5" systems on the market or trying to fit something cheap like the Kentri to the SBPDW with that huge price + the brace stuff going on now. Enjoy your new toy! Looks sick with the parts you got on it! Check out the rear pic rail options for braces or stocks they sell on the FM-15, if you contact Foxtrot Mike I think they are just starting to get standalone options out there that you can buy without getting the entire firearm, betting it's reasonably priced!
Hey man!
Sounds like a sweet setup your working on. Great info on the FM 👍 I’ll check them out 🤔
Love my fm15! Bufferless and front/side charging is the future!
That's kind of funny you just did that video a couple few weeks back about the law tactical aric and mentioned that you didn't know if this one would ever show up.... LOL I can't wait for a head to head video because I really like the concept but there's not a ton of info out there's about these things. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
Just got back from shooting them and they both were impressive. Pros and cons on both systems but pretty dang happy with both of them 👍
What's the difference between those generally?
@@CalebDowning have you posted a video on performance?
I wonder how these bcgs are made to run with different pressure from different gas systems. I can only assume they make them with lighter springs so they work with more systems but that would put lots of strain on the system, being overgassed/undersprung. Interested to see the results in a variety of uppers.
They do say to utilize an adjustable gas block. That would fix most of the potential overgassing problems.
How about using piston conversion kit? 🤔
You could use a piston kit. You’d need to use a standard buffer tube and all that 🤔
I waiting for a year and 3 months now. We had several conversations on IG, was told Aug then told Dec. I just wish they wouldn't lead me on. I have a special 300blk project that has been waiting on this. With the weight they gave me, it would be 3lbs 2oz with a 7 inch barrel.
Any thoughts on a bufferless upper for .300 BLK? Do all bufferless uppers use a piston and side mounted charging handle or can you get them with the standard AR charging handle?
Hey Loren. So there are a couple options out there for bufferless uppers. The Evolution Weapon Systems and Law Tactical ARIC are simply systems that replace the BCG and buffer system in a standard direct impingement system.
You can get some other piston and direct impingement uppers that have side chargers and standard chargers.
There’s a good amount of options these days.
You should also get one of the Deadfoot Arms scw 2.5 not quite as short but pretty darn close
Those do look interesting 🤔
what you think of this system vs the LAW TACTICAL one since they just came out with a BCG thats bufferless but only works with their folder system
They are both pretty good systems, but each have their own pros and cons. I did a video on the ARIC a few weeks back.

Nice! I jumped on the DeadFoot Arms bufferless system, but this one seems to be a better system. Would love to see how reliable it is!
It’s definitely shorter than the Dead Foot Arms from what I can tell. And the face you can use other stocks with it is just a cherry on top. So far it’s broken in well and is running great.
Too bad they don't work
Interesting... No extra springs to tune it for the gas system you are running... I guess an adjustable gas block is required. I'm curious to see it run.
They do recommend the use of an adjustable gas block 👍
I shot it today and was pretty dang impressed.
I want to make a PISTOL WITH SLING ADAPTER END PIECE WITH MINIMAL LENGHT BARREL and probably SLICK SIDE UPPER as these probably really don’t work with a FOWARD ASSIST?
You are correct 👍 The EWS does not work with forward assists.
Dope
Yup 👍
Very cool
It’s a cool concept 👍
I have been trying for months now to get in touch with EWS about this BCG. I get no response. Its hard to give them 400 bucks when you cant even a response. I love the idea not the silence.
I totally understand. They don’t answer my questions very often at all either. I think I had to send them over a dozen emails and just as many messages to get them to change my shipping address.
If they hired a good customer service representative they’d get a lot more business. Maybe that’s why they don’t though 🤷♂️
The fact that they don't respond, have a phone number or address means they are doing something shady
2 years for a non nfa item is too crazy for me.
Ya, it’s pretty crazy.
Will it work with 300 blk out
Yes it does 👌
Ar15 should have been designed like this from day one, I hope it is Mil reliable like they claim to be, time will tell !
I agree man 👌 I think this system will really break the traditional AR “mold”💪
Well that's the AR18.
They are on ATF’s approval timeframe for their products
Haha, I know right 🤦♂️😏
Hi, Did you get a chance to shoot that yet? If so, how reliable was it?
Just got back from shooting it. Everything new is gonna need to be broken in before it runs 100%, that being said it ran very well 👌
the real question is how to do seperate the upper and the lower? is there a different process than just popping the pin out?
Good question. It’s the same as any other mil-spec receiver set. Pop the pins and then the upper kind of spikes forward and away from the lower.
gotchya i was wondering bc it seems like the bcg would be sitting in the way of hinging opening. mayb im over thinking it@@CalebDowning
@nmhockey5 You can’t pop the rear pin and hinge the receivers on the front pin, “shotgun style”. But if you pop the two pins then the two receivers will separate easily.
You waited longer for a BCG than you ever did a suppressor. Just like how I just got my acro p2 after ordering it in April. These companies need to get their stuff together lol
I know right 🤦♂️
I’m just glad it’s finally here 😏
@@CalebDowning haha I’m glad for you! Stoked for the video!
👊🏻
Interesting I thinking the smaller springs are a little under powered
Entire kit is about $500 not including tax or shipping😂 that's high key Robery
It is pricy, but it’s one of the only options in its class 🤷♂️😏
@@CalebDowning agreed
Is that a Breek Arms handguard?
Sweet pistol
Now I’ve gotta get one 😂
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Good eye 👌 Yup, that’s a BreekArms handguard 🤙
Thanks man, God bless you too 👊🏻😎
Anyone Know how to get ahold of this company!?!?!? Ive been waiting for 2 and a half years now, multiple emails and nothing but air !!!!!
Instagram is the best way I was able to get in touch with them. It’s beyond frustrating… 🤦♂️
And ships within 2 to 3 business days😅 and you can use your desk cover😂
Three years well worth the weight 3 years well worth the wait😅
Do they have 9mm?
Not yet, I’ve heard that’s on the planning schedule though.
How much again?
I believe it’s right at 400 beans…
I like that set up 😭 if you want to trade for a sugar weasel lmk
Dude, if I’d bought a couple of these then I’d take you up on that.
Now we need this for a 308….
I’ve heard that is in the works 🤔
I need to see you shoot this lol
Go check out my Instagram, I have some reels of me shooting it over there… I crossposted it here: ua-cam.com/users/shorts-s-R7IFRDMY?feature=share
2 years?!??!
Yup 😏
Definitely cool. But not $360 cool (for me).
Ya it’s kinda pricy 😬
Bear Creek has been making the complete uppers for a while and it's cheaper to buy a complete upper and there are many videos on UA-cam
Bufferless 223/300BLK uppers? Dang I must have missed that. Are you sure?
@@CalebDowning they go for like 350 for a complete upper
For 223/300BLK?
Bear creek makes great uppers in my opinion. They have a bufferless 22lr and 9mm (and maybe 10mm?). No 223 or 300blk (yet..). Their bufferless uppers are blowback, so idk if they're actually developing a di bufferless system or not.
I have their 9mm bufferless upper and it surprised me by how well it works. I will be interested to see if they ever come out with a 223/300BLK system 🤔
You waited two years? Should’ve just waited for the Law Tactical ARIC. Way better and then you can also fold your stock.
I got one of those too 😉
Honestly though, the two systems are different enough that it’s worth having both. If I could only have one, it’d be the EWS… Not just saying that. There’s nothing really “wrong” with the ARIC but I just like the EWS better.
It’s the same that the company is a lie… this would have been a great idea!
They definitely need to get their act together. It’s a great idea but they need to get their production time hammered out.
To bad it's not made by a reputable company
I know… 😏
I knkw bra makes one with the upper in 9 mm and there like 350$
BCA
Dude… you may have just cost me money 💸
Bro it's been a year and a half and the guy has ghosted me... I just want an update..
I feel your pain. My best advice is just to message them repeatedly on IG. Try and catch them after they post something.
I love the product but they do need to have better customer service.
@@CalebDowning how long did you have to wait? I ordered back in May of 2022
@NA-sb7xz I waited just over two years for mine. It was a long wait ⏳
I think I’ve been ripped off . Went to web site and it says I don’t have any orders
@@anthonyhollins1176 na I got it a few months ago
I wish it had holes to screw on a side charging handle 🥲🥲
That’d be interesting 🤔
@@CalebDowning Could help with the whole not having a forward assist thing too. Would just have to be reciprocating
True 👍
