Really nice vw ! Some worthwhile upgrades that you’ve done.
Love what you do Chris !
That person was smart having you assist in finding a good bug. I just bought a 1974 super beetle. It's an original California car. No rust, thank goodness. But you find them with rust here as well. Good find on that one. You definitely know your business.
Appreciate that, thank you 👍
Beautiful Super Beetle.
That’s a solid original car, besides the wheels.
It’s so original it still has the sticker on the steering wheel with the instructions on how to start her up!
Wow! My 1st car was a standard Beetle (flat windshield narrow dash) same year same color. Good memories. May have you find me one….down the road a bit.
I have a 73 SB with the same color. Not as neat as that one. Great find.
Thanks Chris. Great explanation of your service. Cheers, Carl
Looks like a nice stocker.. id drop the front down so its more level..but then its not stock looking like they like. Good job sir! Oh and I have a crack in the same place...put a coverlay cover over it... the cover cracked in the exact same place as the dash. ...oh well...give it character.
Very nice looking. I prefer the shorter bugs for appearance, but this one is good.
Nice looking bug...too bad they've gotten to be so expensive, otherwise I think more people would consider them for daily driver use
Reminds me of my 74 Superbeetle. It was cleaner than Kleenex. I paid a whopping $3,300 for it in the early 80's. That was big money back then for a Bug. Unfortunately it went to an early grave after getting T boned. Almost sent me to an early grave too. I lived...The Bug didn't.
I have one just like that one, except! It has only a little over 33,000 miles on it, and a charcoal grey interior. I found a set of NOS bumper guards, added a clock (which I had rebuilt), as well as a 12 volt outlet instead of cigarette lighter. With Corker white sidewall tires, it looks pretty good. I am having a hard time deciding if I should just drive it or sell it. (I have 2 other bugs--a '72 the same color, and a "67 project which is Zenith Blue. But they aren't as nice!)
Same color as my ‘74 Super. Installed a CB front disc brake kit on it yesterday and it makes a huge difference in stopping power. With 60 massive horsepower, stopping is very important.
Hi Chris. Winston here from Tacloban City Philippines. Where can you find bumper overriders for super beetles with Euro style bumpers? Thanks.
Probably a good swap shop or FB VW groups.
Thanks for replying Chris.
Nice!
Comes with AC?
Who sells Replacement rear Seats for the 74 Convertible? Not covers, but the actual bottom rear seat?
Would you consider taking the dash repair in house?
Sure
@Chris Vallone Chris, how do you restore the dash pad on the later Super Beetle's? I'm having a '74 SB convertible restored and couldn't find a replacement, other than a cheezy looking plastic layover. Fortunately, a local upholstery shop agreed to re-cover the pad with leather. It looks better, but certainly not pristine.
@@dougnorwood5447 yeah if the crack is not bad, I had a guy come and repair the existing cracks, it looked like new. All depends how deep and big they are.
If that car as presented here had needed a headliner, what would it cost to replace the headliner in that car materials and labor?
Usually about 1500 or so
@@classicvwbugs Thank you. My '73 looks on par with the '74 SB but I want my Headliner replaced. I live in SoCAl and so wanted an idea on what to expect. Other than Headliner, my car looks new.
Do you know where or if it’s possible to find a replica of the original steering wheel with the Wolfsburg emblem???
From 72 and up?
@@classicvwbugs yes. Sorry I wasn’t specific at first
@@MMAfighter38113 all good man. 👍. I have not seen those repopped. You have to source a good used one
@@classicvwbugs thanks for replying back
@@MMAfighter38113 u bet
100k? what ever happen to the term "peoples car?". Be well always chris✌️
Can ac be fitted in this bug?
You can but not recommended
@@classicvwbugs ok, Noted, thanks very much Chris nuff respek to you from Chris from Jamaica .
Never preferred the super beetles. The flat dash was much classier in my opinion.
I'm in the wrong line of work
I don’t remember that color
100k$? 😂
