  • CARMAX DISASTER Signals COLLAPSE Of The Car Market!
    In this video we talk about CARMAX. I take you to CarMax's lot and show you just how full it is and how expensive their cars are. It's clear that CarMax is in trouble and their prices aren't sustainable! I also talk about what this mean for the car market as a whole.
    My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.
    Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave any comments you may have in the section below!

      Only ten? I've had my car for 25 years now and its still going strong. I just fix stuff when it breaks and perform the maintenance and don't beat the heck out of it when I drive. Zero speeding tickets and zero collisions with maintenance and proper car can make a car last a really long time.

    • @bpb5541

      I agree. The only way price comes down is with price rejection. I don't like paying 18 dollars for a Big Mac so I don't buy them anymore. They get them back down to the 5 dollar range ... I might start buying them again. This holds true for houses, cars, etc. This isi the exact reason we buy when people are selling and selling wizen people are buying. Rich folks have figure this out a long time ago. I ask people all the time.. you compalin about buying things but you are part of the problem. Stop buying that over price ... whatever. Enough of us do this... price will come down. We are starting to see that in the car and housing markets. But it has just started. It will accelerate and might last for years. Deflation is one of the dirtiest words in capitalistic debt based system. If you are rich you DO NOT want deflation... you want inflation. If you are poor or middle class you absolutly want deflation. The end of the GFC was the prime time to buy residential houses. Not right before it ... when it was apparent we were in a bubble. Just like we are in now.

    I worked at a CarMax for a year. My store mainly dealt with poor credit clientele. The cars were overpriced to begin with and many were financed @ 28.5% for 72 months. That should be criminal IMO. If nothing else it’s just stupid. Every car I sold under those conditions took a piece of my soul with it. I just couldn’t do it anymore so I quit. My manager tried to talk me into staying by explaining people need a car to get to work to feed their children and they likely could not get approved anywhere else. He said “at the end of the day, they are the ones signing the contract”. That didn’t help, I walked off the job that day, no two week notice. Only place worse than CarMax is JD Byrider 😆

    • @sammoore7875
      @sammoore7875 9 днів тому

      @@bluev38 I'd say the best place is you. Start with the type of vehicle your looking for and UA-cam search reviews for that model. You'll probably get recommendations for other similar brands and models that are more reliable or affordable. Get the Kelly blue book value of that vehicle and start comparing prices around wherever your willing to go to get one. If you don't know a mechanic that can look over the vehicle when you take it for a test drive, try to set up a quick diagnostic test or lookover at a repair shop or garage. If this isn't ideal for you there are now people who will do the shopping and negotiation for you. They will do a consultation first and give you a ballpark idea of what you can expect and what their fee will be. Just do an online search for people who find or negotiate car deals for other people in the DFW area. Hope this helps God Bless you!

The car market is going to drop like a rock. Folks that understand this are going to get a 65k for 30k or even less and of course this is a forward indicator on what is going to happen to the commercial and residential real estate market. There is going to massive opportunities for those who know how to take advantage of them... of course we always use stop loss orders to define our risk. Not every trade work in our favor. We don't need them to as long as we cut our losses quick and let or winner run. I think the car market is going to fall for years.... not months. I will let the charts tell me what to do.

      I figure they bought it from the BMW dealership in Saint Petersburg that has been unable to sell a couple of 2023 M240i for a year and a half cause they are asking $53k for them and they have been sitting on the lot for a long long time. If they had been reasonable I would have taken a look at them.

    I work at a carmax as a truck driver and I used to do FQC (washing cars and stickering them, putting them out front) and if I remember correctly the lack of a price is because they haven’t decided what to put the price at yet or there may be an issue with the title. I’ve printed off a few of those no price stickers for several vehicles, even as cheap as little hondas or chevys

    Its okay...they're too big to fail. Bei g backed up by those who print the money has created this false market. Plus, like the dealerships that got greedy, the Unions are just as responsible with their ridiculously out of touch packages...

    We finally made it to a point that we were house hunting and trying to decide our first brand new nice car that we wanted… no longer looking for a house and bought a cute little used car from a friend. No payments. Still heartbreaking losing all those dreams that were about to be realized. But I’ll take my used, paid off car over astronomical car payments.

    Car sales had been steady, when each new model year price was increased by 2.5 - 3%. Then dealers started adding market adjustments and people were still buying cars. The manufacturers wanted a piece of the action, so they built up new car pricing by 11% each year.
