  • Teach your dog to let go of their toys with this one!
This is my go to method with all dogs! I will say I've had some pretty long standoffs in the past but it works MOST of the time!

Underrated for sure. Trust the process, you’ll blow up on YT in no time. Just need the algorithm to do its job. Glad I was here early 🙌🏼

Another one if I just let him have his ball and start doing something in the kitchen he will naturally bring and drop the ball because he must really want to play.

Bro, yoy the best! Can you show us now how to manage our dog to bring back the ball?My puppy is 6 months old, runs like crazy when I throw a ball, comes back at me (50% of the time stops ik front of me, 50% of the time, stops way too far from me) and just lay then on the ground without opening her mouth. Then after a few minutes, she leaves the ball and goes away. Its very frustrating because I cant manage her to play that simple game properly 😂😂😂😅😢

Sooo this one can be tricky! What I like to try is this: throw the ball, as soon as they get to the ball I start jogging backwards which usually gets their attention and they try to catch up! Then just as they are about 3 quarters of the way to me I turn around and close the rest of the distance between us. I’ll then praise them with fuss and in doing this get hold of the ball or toy (should be on a rope if it’s a ball) and then ask for the “out”/“drop” then immediately throw the ball and keep that game going trying to not run backwards as far each time and reduce the amount of time it takes to actually get the ball back. In time the dog realises that the game is to come back and get it thrown again! Never chase them to get the ball and avoid going to them where they drop it or lay.

This works for most dogs, but not mine unfortunately he won’t let go no matter what and I could play dead and act like I am a tree and he still won’t let go

I’ve also tried the two identical toys and
He won’t let go of the one in his mouth for the second one. He’s a hard dog let me tell you and I’ve tried sitting there for over half hour and I just can’t do more than a half an hour.

When holding the toy still try holding closer to their mouth, removing their leverage and helping you hold it still better. Noticing this video how close I am to her mouth instead of being opposite her mouth with my grip. Ofcourse don’t do it if you think they are likely to regrip on to your hand 😅
