    At just over 17 minutes in you say about not being able to spin the chamber once the cartridges are loaded, I believe this to be a deliberate design feature as this IS possible on the older BB version however people tended to spin it then whip the gun to the right so the chamber slaps back in (as per many a hollywood film) this can damage the catch causing it to fail later, I believe ASG has designed this version to discourage owners from knackering their gun

    I bought the black 8" version. Power on the weak side. Accuracy excellent.
    Trigger very wobbly, and the grips are a bit loose.
    Real pain in the neck to have to load the pellets at the front of the shells...
    I bought 24 extra shells so I can at least shoot off 30 before re-loading.

    My Wesson I've had for 3 years or more since they came out really at 30 feet 1-1.5 inch and 50 2-3 it's super accurate and super powerful I have given it a tune up. Best air gun pistol for accuracy

    I bought this gun yesterday and I love the look and feel, only had a couple of shots from it so far so don't know about that side yet. My main issue is I think they didn't engineer the loading of pellets very well. From the very first moment I loaded the pellet I thought... Shouldn't you just have a simple rubber on the ass end so that you can load the pellets directly there and so they wouldn't slip out. would make it so much quicker and easier and sill for the enthusiast be able to take the shells out. Would be very easy to sort out at home for our selves but a question I have as its late at night and cant make any noise myself, will the gun fire ass loading it? I know with out the rubber on the backside it would fall out but does the screw on front end stop it from going straight through? If so It may be worth drilling through and placing said grommets on the backside. I think this would make it 3 times faster loading. Quicker than most other co2 guns that you have to physically remove the cartridge. I should be a designer lol

    QUESTION:
    Can you use ASG Dan Wesson BB cartridges in this pellet version?
    I just recently got an old black DW pellet revolver as a project - but it has not of these specific cartridges..
    Seen a 25pc ASG DW spare cartridge set online - but apparently the set is for use of BBs.. Could use Gamo round lead BBs until found of the correct cartridges from somewhere..

    Actually, you can easily spin the cylinder when it's loaded, and you can place the speedloader square with the cylinder, not at an angle. I don't know why people say you have to place the speedloader at an angle.

    I just watched your review of the Dan Wesson 6" silver pellet revolver. Are you aware there is a 8" version available. I have on in silver. I also have a Black Ops version in 8" black that I purchased in the USA. My guns are only bb though I wish they were pellet. I also noted that you were unable to spin the cylinder when it was open with a cartridge in it. I can spin the cylinder on my guns with cartridges in it. I liked your video very much.

    You could put the cartridges in the speed loader, spread the balls out thin on a plate and push the loader into the balls for faster reload. Of course this only applies to the BB versions. It's what you pay for higher accuracy, I guess.

    one thing i think you should ALL KNOW about those BRASS CARTRIGES is that: continued handling with BARE HANDS will get your HAND OIL on them and they WILL TARNISH. if that happens you can (believe it or not) soak them in tomato juice or smear some KATCHUP on them works too OR brass polish, but THAT KRAP doesn't work too well

      ***** Hi, not sure if Predators would fit, the pointed protrusion with these pellets may make it a bit to long but don't quote me on that as I have never tried them. I am using Air Arms Diabolo fields, they have a domed head and work perfectly for me, never tried flat heads but can't see any reason why they wouldn't work.

    I brought one of these several years ago and it is still as new, mainly because it is a bit agricultural, clunky and when you pull the trigger it releases and the pistol jumps as the action it just not very smooth. Rapid accurate fire is just not possible and compared to the Colt .357 BB Python they are worlds apart with the Python so fast and accurate with a lovely full trigger action, so smooth. For anyone interested in feel and experience I could not possibly recommend this pistol and advise giving a wide berth. I must get shot of mine soonest.

    I'ma screw it up...LOL!!
    I can say with confidence, that this revolver is dimensionally Correct for a DW Model 15 357 Mangum, like the Real one on my table here.
    The cylinder crane swings almost too close to the frame to use speed loaders.
    It requires refined technique, that comes with familiarity to the wheel gun.

      It shoots steel BBs not 6mm. If you're talking about the airsoft version it should last. I'm going to make an assumption here and say that you're quite young based on your spelling and guess your other airsoft guns were springers. Basically, yes, this will last as will the airsoft version.

    • @racknload
      @racknload  8 років тому

      +Jake Marshall As far as power goes, not very powerful as its a CO2 and they only run at around 2-3 flbs. You would think that a long barreled one was more accurate....

    • @dopeofthepope
      @dopeofthepope 7 років тому

      barrel length usually doesn´t affect accuracy in any way or in other words: it´s a busted myth that a shorter barrel is less accurate - this was proven with firearms so it should also be true for pellet guns. And 2-3 fpe? Man... that thing is useless. You couldn´t even shoot a rat with it from point blank.

    • @CaptZdq1
      @CaptZdq1 7 років тому

      The longer barrel is certainly more powerful. It was tested by Mike Kaye in the Replica Air Guns video. I had an 8'' barrrel Crosman and it had an fps of 475. And these guns are not for hunting, they're for plinking, so they are very useful.

    I put mine through a chrony with a new CO2 cylinder using 7.47 grain Umarex 250 mosquito pellets. Very disappointed as it only came out at between 0.74 and 1.0 ft lbs muzzle energy. If I want to shoot rats, I think I'll stick to the .22 BSA air rifle or the .410 shotgun. That's not to say that the Dan Wesson isn't fun for a bit of target plinking at 10 yards.

      HolmesLS Not entirely true.
      Firstly northern ireland is in the uk and handguns of all kinds (except full auto) are ok for target shooting (and self defence, heck you can even get a carry permit), with handgun including very short rifles like say a semi auto mp5k.
      In GB proper handguns can be owned on a section 1 under the section 7 stuff, but if you wish to shoot them (or they are classified as being in a readily available cartidge) they have to locked at a ranged (i think less than 5 are approved for this), they can be owned in the "long barrelled" version by anyone with an FAC for target shooting, all muzzleloaders are ok (even those using modern powders) and some handguns can be owned for "Humane dispatch" of animals (for vets and hunters).

      ***** and we are limited to .22lr only when it comes to semi auto anything ! there was talk of making a lever release 9mm long barrel pistol (slide locks back after every shot) but homeoffice and plod say no however they not concerned that pistols can be owned in NI ! uk firearms homeoffice guidance applies to NI as well ! the most stupid law every made ! but i suspect that if it wasnt for the NI government standing up to the UK government they would of been banned there as well!

    My Crosman 357 Vigilante is way more powerful and accurate for less than half thee money, like 30 mm group at 14 meters or 45 feet using H&N Crow Magnum 9.26 grain pellets!!! Similarly, my Crosman Optimus rifle achieves a group of 10mm over 25 meters (81 feet) using the same pellets!

    What's wrong with wearing gloves , he borrows some of these guns so it protects the gun , as before he scratched one with his wedding ring - makes sense

    Reports would be better with silicon gloves or none at all. Makes the reviews look uncomfortable.

    What pray is the point of the stupid speed loader? put the shells straight into the gun and save maybe twenty seconds.
    The only use for it is to have a backup six shells for when the first six are fired!
