    I swear you're having more fun with the intros and animation than you are with the actual project!
    This was such a fun project and an excellent example of lateral thinking :-)
    Is that one of the Japanese-style saw blades that cuts on the pull stroke? Those things can cut through anything.
    I really can't wait to see what you come up with next.

    • @SwitchAndLever
      @SwitchAndLever  5 років тому +1

      Nope, it's just a regular saw blade, although I assume with the teeth geometry a bit more apt for cross cutting, as you'd mostly do with branches and such when pruning.
      And indeed, I am having a lot of fun with the animation side of things as well, but I wouldn't call it "more" fun, just different. It helps me get through the editing, as it can sometimes feel like running a marathon just to get done. Helps a lot to sneak in some fun bits as well, even though it prolongs the time it takes to get the video done.

    Cool idea. Teeth on a saw blade are splayed to cut a kerf wider than the blade. That's why you get a lot of crumbs. Might try crushing them in a vise. Might try learning how to sharpen a bread knife! :)

    I Tyskland finns det ofta brödskivarmaskiner i affären/bageributiken om man vill färdigskiva limpan när man köper den. I almost never buy non-sliced bread and I have a well-sharpened bread knife in my drawer. My experience of German bread is that you can have the whole loaf sliced at once in a machine at the store making the heavy-duty knife unnecessary.

    • @SwitchAndLever
      @SwitchAndLever  5 років тому

      Yeah, they exist in plenty of stores in Sweden too. However, two main issues with that is that you can never vary the size of cut, if you want thicker or thinner slices you can't change your mind. Also I find the bread tends to go stale quicker if it's all sliced, or if you keep it in a plastic bag tends to attract mold quicker. I'd rather slice as I need it :)

    • @OlaMagnusLie
      @OlaMagnusLie 5 років тому

      These machines are infesting Norway as well. The slices are too thin, and with some of our hard-crusted ("grisla") breads it just mangles the crust.
