Side note: I went to one of those mall kiosks where they sell cologne and he had Green Irish Tweed for $100 and it was obviously a fake. I told the guy that owned the kiosk that I was going to tell everyone his stuff was fugazi, and he tried to give me a free bottle of Tommy Athletic lol

Thanks for the informational video. I appreciate you taking the time and your own money to educate those of us who are not experts how to spot the fake versions of high end fragrances. I have come to accept that if I want a Creed fragrance, I should just protect myself and pay full retail.

This is a really helpful series. On another note I didn’t realize you’re a teacher. I’m also a teacher but it makes sense because you explain things very well! Also the health risks with fakes are concerning to me because I’ve read that sometimes they contain methanol which is incredibly toxic when absorbed through the skin... or consumed in any way. I was thinking about this because of all the hand sanitizers that had it and how sick some people got.

Those caps are not new gen caps. They are the older ones. Your real bottle is using the older style "firehose" sprayer so it's a gen 1 cap. The ones currently are more rounded.

Very useful video . It really comes handy when you want to spot a Creed knockoff, either way I wouldn’t buy any Creed fragrances from eBay no matter how “authentic “ could be. It is so hyped that can be easily cloned or faked, some sellers may not be aware of what they’re selling specially when you said that “counterfeiters do a better job “ I was like “ 😳 “ !
No no Steven..those are both older caps..older Aventus gets that flat square cap and some older Original vetiver gets the cap with the circle in it..the newer generation caps look like the old square flat cap but are now curved at the top..the new cap looks similar to the old square cap but is curved on top to give it a more modern look...no more 4oz and 2.5oz...the new 3.3oz and the 1.7oz gets that new curved cap..you have an older original version which has the "fireman hose" sprayer which has creed carved on top & came in the older box that has MILLESIME engraved on the front...the late 2015/16 4oz bottles got the regular sprayer and the name creed was removed from the top of the sprayers..MILLESIME was also moved to the back of the box on the 2015/16..its funny because in the buyers beware video pic you have the new top on the newer 3.3oz original vetiver..2016 and some early 2017 are the last of the good stuff..
So they are both real?

Great job Steven. This really helps me a lot. I am about to purchase a vintage creed, and the one thing that hasn't changed with Creed's packaging over the last several decades, are the white ring portion on the bottles after removing the atomizer and the smooth edges at the bottom of the bottle.
Thanks for this, as it's easy to be duped with a fake rather than authentic, despite the price point and popularity of the house.

Great video. I totally agree with your reviews on fake fragrances. I only buy Creed from department stores like Neimans or Nordstrom for this reason. No one should be put into a position of being scammed. If the deal seems to good to be true, it usually is.

Appreciate your effort i have just purchased a fake A & B feirce cologne 200 ml and have the feeling it is fake as i get synthetic soapy smell from it and was searching how to spot fakes and saw your video. Will go tomorrow and wack the bottle on his face and take my money back.

About the boxes of creed fragrances, is it true that if the white section (in the bottom of the box) where you have your LOT, is a sticker at not printed it's the real deal while if it's the other way around it's a definite fake? And if that true are the newer gen have sticker or printed, thanks in advance

Just bought Creed Fantasies de fleur from ebay seller and would like to know how I can tell if it's real. Its supposed to be a tester but I believe there should be a lot number on it and it doesn't. Have I been duped?
My girlfriend made this mistake last year. She bought me a set of three Creed fragrances. They were obviously fakes. She seemed more pissed off with me than the counterfeiting eejits though.

Hi Steven. First thing I noticed was the difference in the cap. I own Creed Original Vetiver and the cap on mine is more black with little green like the one on your left.

Is it same for all creed or just vetiver?
Looking at a bottle here online, a local ebay type site here in Switzerland. Startin bid at 9 dollars. Printing on the front of the bottle does not have the address on the second line but "from father to son since 1760" different from the ones you have. Serial numbers on the bottom look good. Will not bid much higher if it goes into a bidding war. Seller said he found it at a warehouse that was recently closed. 2018/ no box/ no guarantee.

In side what really matters so if the bottle is clear look for dirt particals inside. I had an issue with someone. I noticed black practical in it very tiny use magnifying glass (i was sold fake musk aoud by roja dove) luckily i was refunded Ebay helps just be patient.

I bought a tester bottle of CREED VIW, can someone help me know if it's real? I paid about 180$. The bottom letters are literally printed on the bottle, no plastic sticker on bottom. It has CREED written on the left with protruding letters PARIS on the right. I assume the fact the letters protruding means something? Lol at me? HELP

It is super legit. But I've heard a few people having problems with shipping. Taking upwards of 2 weeks or something. Also make sure it's the correct site. Get the link from the Facebook groups to make sure.
Also the packaging.... The cover just falls apart for most fakes

Also fragrancex.con, all authentic. I dont bother searching in ebay or amazon anymore so I dont have to worry about it.
Fake bottles are a serious issue for each brand. Here in Europe Creed is much cheaper especially in France and Belgium so i would never take the risk of a fake bottle.

I have a bottle of creed erolfa from Max aroma . Advertised as a 40z yet it comes with the new generation cap and no engraving on the sprayer and no pressurized atomizer...... I was sure max aroma is legit but this seems off.
I may have made a mistake with the caps. There may have been a batch of 4oz bottles with these caps. I also have an Erolfa from MaxAroma and it's legit.

I'm in Europe and here your can get a better fake from Saidi Arabia. It comes realy near to the origianal. But when you have both of them and wearing all the day and at the end of a day I know which is fake. I bought it private on ebay with a description " I bought it for my lover, dad or dog, but he dont like the smell... only 120€ for 75ml"
Creed is the best fragerance for me and I have now 5 different odors and have finished 5 other.
That box says it all. 38 AV PIERRE 1`DE SERBIE PARIS or 33 AV PERRE 1´DE SERBIE PARIS. They couldn´t spell and get the right adress on the fake one.

Are you suggesting only pay full price at a department store? Can we get legit Creed from a discount online store? I believe you sidestepped this part of the fake cologne scenario. I would think as much cologne as you have purchased. You could say with confidence which online discount stores sell legitimate products.
I have a Creed Aventus 120 ml bottle from 2016 (batch code S4216C01), the fragrance is 100 % authentic and this bottle has the new gen cap.
I love Original Vetiver, but I find that (very brief) sourish smelling opening a little off putting. What are your thoughts?
