Videos like these are a great help to those Of us who are really excited about fragrances and building their collection .... many I’m sure are totally un-aware that they have Been had, and own a few counterfeits. I remember how elated I was to receive my first creed fragrance many years ago, and of course would be very crestfallen if it happened to be a fake... just like rolexes or any high end quality crafted product, you must be careful where u spend your hard earned money. Great video! I appreciate the tips. I’ve always been a fan of fragrances my whole life but really have been getting into fragrances as of late and really just starting to get into the niche houses. I just found out about fragrance reviews on UA-cam, you and Carlos are 2 of my favorite reviewers. So, there’s so many that I want to get. The list is very long and so trying to buy as many as I can as fast as I can or try as many as I can as fast as I can, the temptation is to try to go to discounters, eBay, Groupon or wherever to get that one fragrance cheaper so this was very helpful to me and much appreciated. I’m so happy you did this video. It’s for this very reason I’m so uneasy about buying fragrances online. Other UA-cam fragrance gurus often recommend discounters, like fragranceX and others. My question to you is, are these discounters trustworthy? They are marked down way under retail in most cases. Suspicious or solid?

I couldn't agree more. For any top shelf fragrance including the higher end niche as well as Dior, Armani and especially Chanel, stick with the authorized retailers and maybe Fragrancenet for Dior titles you can't get in the USA (although Selfridges in the UK ships worldwide). When Macy's offers their 15% off sales, they're cheaper than the discounters for Armani and Chanel. I bought a few Armani fragrances when Armani's USA site offered a 40% discount code last month.
@@Redolessence Steve - sometimes even a perfect bottle isn't an indication. Empty or partially filled bottles can be refilled by pulling off the nozzle, and using a needle and syringe to refill the bottle. n sloppy cases, the cap of the bottle can be used to remove the atomizer to just pour in liquid. I have a feeling that comparative cheapies like Armaf's CDNI Men were being refilled, resealed and resold and that's why some were complaining that it was weak.
Or just know what your doing. My entire collection comes from ebay and internet Haha. Yes I get fakes maybe 20to 30 out of 700 plus purchases. Worth the risk imo. Open case and claim in professional manner and get it squared away.

I just got two bottles of Burlington. In Malaysia, you can’t import fragrances from other countries unless you have a permit. So, I had to buy it off of somebody and although it should be legit cause he seems trusted, you can never be too careful. Thanks for the tips Steven 👍
I’d rather buy it at full retail from Roja and pay for peace of mind. Plus Roja site has had a 20% sale that ends this Monday. Can’t put a price on peace of mind. Roja customer service is so good in my experience.

@@Redolessence my scentsei have unbelievable sales i bought 20ml of creation e parfum 10 ml of aoud and 10 ml of musk aoud for like 220 all authentic facts!!!!!!!!!!!The price was 214 i got a box filled with decants from them i was skeptical at first because i seen some negative reviews but i order from them once and was hooked everything i got authentic in parfum concentration scentsplit and other decanters to high i tried so many rojas because of them

If you see a deal that appears too good...it is. Walk away. I personally won't shop at any discounter for anything. Amazon is a big no no also! High end department stores and direct from the company only.

You just sprayed the real one like 3 times lol I was like nooo. Also the real one the cup it’s gold looking not silver. I bought mine from the website just bc that reason. PS: not highly satisfied with the projection but it’s to expect with a pure perfume. Longevity is good .

I have purchased off eBay before, I rarely will now as I can use fragrancenet and maxaroma and know I’ve never been scammed. Tips look at feedback and I hate to say it but only buy from sellers in the US. I always try to find sellers who have 99+ positive feedback, who’ve been on eBay for multiple years and that feedback. Always a risk but it can be minimized.

Few days ago I bought Creed Aventus 100ml at 120 dollars. Its smell exactly like a original.. And last 3 days on cloths. I also chacked batch code. It's also correct. I chacked weight, atomizer... All looks very similar like original. Howz this possible?
Just got scammed on ebay for a fake tom ford. Luckily, ebay refunded me but I would definitely be interested in hearing some tips to avoid it in the future!

Steven please help me with this. I recently bought a fragrance from the mall (Perfumania) and it was Ch Men Carolina Herrera. I had it sprayed on my arm by a tester and liked it so much I went and bought it the next day. When I got home I realized the cellophane was open from the bottom, however this could’ve happened during shipping to the store , and the batch code would not work when I checked it online. The batch code is D2331. It smells similar I’ve yet to test performance but I’m very worried because the thing was sort of open and I noticed this when I got home so obviously going in and claiming this would be suspicious. Not sure if they sell fake recent formulation/bottle design CH men what should I do?

I bought from the official site of Roja a decant size 7.5 ml atomizer....the package was received today but the letters were fainted in the bottle and the longevity was 2h ...is it possible? That the product can be fake??? It came from Sofia Bulgaria while I ordered from the official site!

I almost bought a "tester" bottle of Layton from a seller claiming it be original. He says he's got testers of all major perfume brands and tempting prices 🎣. But the unbelievably cheap price and of course your tips on how to identify a fake bottle from an original helped me make the right decision and not be conned!

Now in Russia quite a lot of ideal fakes of ROJA DOVE (Elysium Cologne and parfum, Oligarch) are being sold, which are very difficult to distinguish from the originals.
Just to be safe. I always buy mine in reputable store. Such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and neiman narcus. Boom!!! Saves you the headaches.
Sure are a lot of "testers" being sold in the facebook room even though Roja does not sell testers. Price is not always indicative of a fake. With millions of people losing jobs I've seen and made some crazy deals but it is a big red flag

Don’t feel bad I bought a Acqua Di Gio with two different batch codes on them. One was from 2011 and the other was 2007. I also had ordered a Fake version of Sauvage with no batch code number. Luckily I got a refund after opening a case against the seller. Order all my fragrances from Macy’s now I don’t about the extra cost. Where do y’all get your authentic at?

Normally for something like this you will have to provide a 3rd party letter from a fragrance professional that can attest that it is fake if you dispute the transaction
If you have power to buying Roja then you should must buy from shop don’t buy from network

I've been noticing a bunch of sellers with overly cheap fragrances on ebay from Russian Federation. They appear to be all fakes with fake feedback, avoid them.

I got burned on a Creed on eBay. Unbelievable the details in packaging they replicate but the juice was the giveaway. Luckily I got my money back.
I bought Dolce & Gabbana pour homme (made in Italy--Euroitalia) off eBay last month. It is a fake. The juice lasts a whole 10 minutes on me. Extremely weak. And the atomizer is the most lame single pulse. I'll use it up after a shower before bedtime. But lesson learned...never buying from eBay again.
