UPDATE for 2019/2020: Aventus now comes wrapped in cellophane from Creed. All other indicators still apply. And yes, Creed fragrances from discount websites (FragranceNet, FragranceX etc) are real. Buying retail is not the only way to get authentic Creed products. This video is to inform you of the indicators to look out for when purchasing used on the grey market such as Facebook, eBay etc if you so choose. I own over 20 authentic Creed bottles and have never bought a fake (except for this video, to demonstrate). Most people saying I have no clue most likely have never purchased a bottle outside of retail, or at all for that matter, and think authorized dealers are the only way to go, which simply isn't the truth. I have a A220B11N batch and it come in cellophane. I asked for Mont Blanc Explorer for my birthday and I got Creed Aventus (but instead of multiple gift, only got that one).

great video man! have yall bought a creed tester before? i got a tester of silver mountain water recently and it checks all the authentic tips in this video, and i had an official sample before i got that and the tester smells exactly the same and it lasted around 8 and half hours and at the point my family said they could still smell me at arms length

Another thing to add about fakes vs real is I like to look at the crown closely. The crown should match what creed has on its bottles. Along with that I like to feel how the top secures to the bottle. It should feel like it’s a solid “click” when your putting the cap back on and the cap should have a snap to it when removed. I believe there are 2 rings inside the cap that give that luxury on/off feel to it. Just wanted to add some other stuff I look at. Also I look at the paperwork included. Make sure the gold on the outside of the creed family pictures is raised up some and the picture looks clear 👍🏻😀

Literally have the same batch of Himalaya. 16G01. Been dabbling more & more into the House of Creed. Just got a 75ml bottle of Royal Mayfair for like $100 on FragranceNet. So far got Aventus (of course), Millesime Imperial, Himalaya, Royal Mayfair, and a small decant of Silver Mountain Water. SMW will probably be my next purchase, the versatility of it is really winning me over. That & Royal Water would complete my collection of scents I'd want to own from them. However, haven't tried Green Irish Tweed. Royal Oud & Bois de Portugal are nice, just a little on the mature side for me. I'm only 25 haha.

I checked mine, as you stated, has the black outer ring & a small white inner ring; thus, fake. Hope that there are more than 1 fact to draw a conclusion it was a fake. Ugh, so many fake items out there. Best.

I love GIT...I have tried several Creed samples, and none seem to come close...and I get many many complements. Are there any other as good as GIT that you can recommend? Hi! I know this video is quite old already but I still think this is the best place to ask at the moment. Your video is very informative and welldone but one thing left me insecure. Is there always batch code on a bottle or is it possible that you can find it only on a box?
Thanks for reaching out-it is possible that there won’t always be a batch code on the bottle. A lot of times they’ll rub off easily. In the case of older Creeds, if they’re a tester they may not have a batch code. For example, my old tester bottle of Green Valley doesn’t have a batch code on it anywhere.

Thank you so much. I just found out I bought 2 fakes. Your tips were spot on - no white outer ring, they were wrapped in plastic, and the boxes had white edges on the corner.

I've used so much of my decant, and my friend has been secretly wearing it to the point that I've been running really low on it lately. I've never seen or owned Invictus Aqua in the bottle. I understand that once you got scammed so I'd love it if you could share some of your insight with me. On another note, have you tried Dunhill Icon and Rasasi Hawas? Look to make sure the font on the front and back match up to legit bottes, that was a big giveaway on my fake. If you have an Instagram I can send you some pictures of real and fake. I haven't tried either of those, but Hawas is on my list especially. I was going to get it from Notino but they aren't up and running here anymore

I think that every time when I talk about this haha, the fakes keep getting better and better unfortunately. Just trying to save people from wasting their money. A lot of the eBay sellers who sell fakes have a lot of positive feedback from people who don't know any better, so it makes it hard to know what to trust

Green Irish Tweed, Aventus, or Millesime Imperial. Millesime Imperial is currently one of the cheapest Creeds you can get, I've seen full 120ml bottles going for around $120 on Facebook groups

I bought royal princess oud from fragrancenet and everything checks out except for the cap. It’s loose and does not have the inner sleeve. What would u think?
The main thing to look for is the white ring under the atomizer, if it has that then it's 100% legit. I provide info on all the other aspects mainly to help identify the bottle from pictures without seeing under the atomizer. Loose caps are completely normal, quite a bit of my Creed bottles have a loose flimsy cap. If the bottle is coming from FragranceNet , its authentic. I'm not too sure there are many fakes of Royal Princess Oud to begin with. I'd say you're good man

I got my creed royal mayfair, it has a white outer ring so thats fine, but my batch code was probably in ink, and i couldnt read it and rubbed it off in one swipe, what does this mean? Theres no other place on the bottle that shows the batch code. The box though was perfect had a sticker so i guess thats all good

I've seen so many counterfeits you really have to base it on the scent, how long it lasts if you put it on your chest like you're supposed to this does not go on clothing when your body heats up it activates different notes.
