I'm so glad Barber Electronics exists. David seems like such a cool dude/genius mad scientist at the same time. The LTD is such a perfectly balanced pedal for rock to my ears. It just seems like a combination of all the best traits from a tubescreamer, a bluesbreaker, and a timmy. I've been there/done that with those three. Not to mention the fact that his take on stacking is perfectly aligned with mine (30:04 ish). Anyone who gets it MUST try a Half Gainer. I run mine into an amp that's working hard enough to compress and clip just enough for what I call an "excited" clean sound that's appropriate even for mellow songs. Kick on channel one with low drive for a dirty boost, and you have a terrific punchy gritty rhythm tone. Switch to channel two with more gain and volume dialed in, and you're in real solo territory. Rock on, dudes.
All David’s pedals are brilliant! Got to hang out with him yesterday. He has something new in the works! Keep an eye out.
Great show! Love all five of my Barber pedals!
Thanks! Me too! Although I don't have five different ones yet.
Big Barber pedals fan here. (I own 6.) Very informative discussion here, love it!
Dave has been tuning into a bunch of our livestreams. He often is participating in the chat. Great guy!
Proud owner of one of those GCXs!
Just saw this video... If he brings back the Launch Pad, then it would be cool to have a secondary foot switch between "-" & "+" outputs... Maybe hold switch to go back to Both outputs. Might try to post this on tgp since this is older video
We are hoping to do some livestreams with him in the future. I will try and remember to bring it up, or join and ask in the chat. It will probably be a few months yet, but we are working on it.
Sweet! I was hoping Barber would bring back the E.Q. in compact form. Powerful weapon.
All his pedals are powerful weapons! Thanks for watching.
great show guys ! keep up !
Thanks! Appreciate the comment.
I Agree. Not a Fan of the Micro-pedals and Cramped pedalboards. You still need to have adequate-room for your feet = Less Mistakes when switching too. Full sized Wah rules. Dave - I like the aluminum knobs vs. the plastic. Love the Black-knobs on my new Gain Changer SR. = Phenomenal Overdrive.
I’ve been a direct drive user for years and now am a fan of the gain changer too. Dave’s pedals are great! Thanks for the comment.
