I watch y'alls videos as a fitter myself just to improve my skills. You guys really know how to present info in an easy to digest way. Keep it up!
To answer your question I just went with original PX6.5. Sort of thinking about buying another shaft and soft stepping them though because they are very boardy

Fantastic stuff guys...great production on these videos. Multiple cameras with trackman data is fantastic. Top notch. All of you that rotate through the channel appear like you've been doing it forever. Another very good video.

I have seen a number of reviews targeted at low handicap shafts as well as high handicap shafts, but very few for those targeted at mid handicappers. I would like to see a review of the most popular 95-110g shafts in stiff flex, especially the Modus3 105, Nippon 950GH, Dynamic Gold 105, Elevate 95 , and KBS Tour Lite.

FM Precision 5.5 rifle shafts are mine, I just really liked that shaft. What I see and definitely like about the C taper is the grey finish as they remind me of Sandevik Titanium shafts which looked really good,, at least to me. Yeah, that was awhile back!

I did the opposite. Went super light with Shimada S-Lite Stiff (102g). Gained 5-6 mph club speed and 9-12 mph ball speed. For me it’s the total package in a iron. Total weight has a big impact on feel. At least for me. I played $-Taper 120 stiff and liked it. But end of the round I got exhausted physically. That affected me mentally as well. Made it hard to maintain a good swing.

You should do a video on Wedge shafts, should you play same shaft as your irons? should you play something lighter? More stiff, less stiff?

Great information on golf shafts. It looks like it comes down to feel when you are talking shafts. I enjoy the channel. I notice you are using new people in the hitting bay. For my preference, for what it is worth, I enjoy having Thomas in the hitting bay.

Maybe the C-Taper 125 S+ would have been a better option for Thomas since the weight would match his PX LZ 6.5, I used to play C-Tapers and found the 125 S+ to be super stable while the 130 X just felt very heavy, I now play PX 6.5 and like them so much that I can't see myself playing anything else.

I think it’s interesting that the new LS Rifle is in fact the highest spinning, by fractional % mind you, not exactly “low spin”. I in fact don’t believe the shaft plays much role in spin nor launch. Those factors, assuming player has repeatable swing, are more influenced by club head factors like loft, moi, cg and mass.
I always choose my shafts, much as you were commenting, on feedback and feel. Since this was more or less a comparison of tour weight steel shafts, I would have included the Modus 130 and Oban CT125. The latter is extruded step-less, not welded like every steel golf shaft in production. Makes for a unique, smooth and really consistent feel.

I have been playing the KBS 130 tour shaft the last two years. I am curious how close the Project X 6.5 LZ is in comparison.

I play the kbs tour 120 stiff. Went for an iron fitting and this shaft ticked all the boxes of what I wanted my shot to look like

C-taper makes a 125g S+ which I play, it is definitely not as boardy as the 130x. I just answered someone's question on golfwrx, C-taper 125 S+ actually CPMs equivalent to X100 and C-taper 130x actually is almost half a flex stiffer than X100.

I have a swing speed of 100 mph with a 7 iron and I still find 130g shafts to be heavy. Even I will get tired after 18 holes

I got fitted with ping i525 in x100 felt stable but he didn’t give me a lot of options like Oban or dg Tour issue etc. So I can’t say what I like better swing speed is 89-91 mph and I’m a newer golfer fitter assured me x100 is the oldest shaft for a reason and the flex being in the middle was the best feel for the club I did try the MP 225 and TM P790 and that shaft didn’t feel good on this club heads I don’t think I’m gonna worry about it and hopefully I get my set soon it’s been about 3 weeks since I ordered them I did receive my ping glide 4.0 yesterday in S300 and they feel good ball gets super high on a good strike 👍🏾

I don't like c taper and my swing speed is 135mph with a driver and I have upper 190s ball speed. C Taper doesn't feel good. It's not the weight, I just don't like the transition through the ball. I had them for 3 years

    • @BAA3595
      @BAA3595 2 роки тому +2

Same 135 driver club speed. Tried calling taper and hated them. I use X7 now. How about you?

    Why C-taper, wouldn’t kbs tour x 130 be a better comparison

KBS Tour is their “high launch, high spin” version. I personally used them and would concur
