  • In twenty years of coaching, I have never seen a more complete drill, you can work on anywhere (no golf balls needed). The list this amazingly simple split hand drill can work on and quickly improve is HUGE;
    Connect your arms and body for a shorter but more powerful backswing
    Fold your trail elbow and cock your wrists correctly
    Get "on plane" perfect downswing path
    Create more lag in the downswing
    Stop early extending
    Nail your impact position
    Exit low and left, keep your body turning!
    2-3 minutes a day will get you playing your best golf ever! See how with this short video.

    Good drill. Good presentation…short and sweet presentations are the best.

    Well Done Jon! This is a great exercise that mimics a ice hockey players "slap shot!" It definitely does shadow the actual golf swing as it should be performed! Keep up the good work Jon!

    Quick question please - should the right/trail arm be straight at impact

      No, both arms will be straight about 2-3 ft after impact, the straightening of the right arm through impact is a major power producer.
