It's so weird... I have the Star Trek Technical Manual on CD-ROM and this is the noise you hear when you enter someone's quarters... I used to load that up and listen to it as I feel asleep. This was like 1995 or something.
The weird part is that it took no more then 6 minutes for this to make me very sleepy, ready to drift off to a nights rest while feeling like I'm inside something huge; something that I can not leave but that will protect me. It's oddly comforting.
@@kurtnewman6340 Not to worry. We have the perfect solution to get out of a warp core breach. Deanna, set a collision course for the nearest planet and engage at warp 9.

But even as an adult, I'd still do it if I could! I'll have to be satisfied with the hum of this video in the background as I sleep until I hit the lottery 🤣🙂
Lots of folks use white noise generators to help them fall and stay asleep. That's basically what this video clip is... an eight hour white noise sequence. Well done, and well worth saving for that very purpose.
Ohhhh I LOVE this!! Perfect engine sound, and the few added ambient noises/trills/beeps are random enough and gentle enough that they aren't disruptive or annoying (unlike some other versions). This is marvelous! 😊💕
Thanks for this, ender4life! I put this on last night before going to bed (actually couch). Turned out to be one of the better nights of sleep I've had in a while.

What is the speaking part in the background? I noticed it at 1:46:22 going on for a 2min or so? I don’t have a equalizer app on my phone to hear it better. Was just curious.
This is great! The sound of the engines just knock me right out. If I had one complaint about it, it's that at full volume it's still a little quiet. That might be the fault of my phone, though.

Question: When you are in the middle of space, how do you tell night and day apart? Also, time is relative to speed. So, if two Federation-ships meet, wouldn't they have totally different on-board times due to different speeds and all?
Standardized day/night cycle for ships, and space stations use whatever close-by planets cycle(so long its not too ridiculous). Deep Space 9 for example use 26 hour bajoran cycle. As for relativity and dilation, I am not exactly sure what you mean but ships have standardized cycle, and since starfleet ships very rarely go to any significant fraction of light speed, they dont really have much of a issue with time dilation and such. Warp travel does not screw with relatovity either since its not newtonian movement, but rather space-time continuum itself is "pushing" the ship. I recall technical manuals and such usually have more detail explanation bit thats the general idea
boomsticknj Download via website called MP3FY... it works for me. (And I also buy any video/track that's for sale when I get the cash to do so, regardless, bc of course everyone deserves fair payment for the work they do!)
hi, is there any way you can make one, to where the ship is traveling and you can hear the pulses of the warp drive speed up at take off, and drive for a while, then slow down at the destination point?
Actually, this is not to different from the sounds of a big ship or even a real spacecraft. You always have the sound of fans in there. In big ships you will also have the light vibrations of the engines.
