The sensible part of me never wishes to be stuck tens of thousands of light-years from home. But the "real" part of me wishes that I had the sense of family that can develop over the course of years aboard such a tight-knit crew. It is so by force but that never stopped them from trying to get along. I can just imagine myself reading a datapad, you know science officer junior grade, we've finally moved past Kazon space or the Borg haven't dealt us a devastating blow in a few weeks. My empty plate letting those just getting off their shift breath a sigh of relief knowing that Nelix made something edible. I've got a diagnostic report that I'm finishing, in-between reading the works of Asimov for the 3rd time. A slight rise in voices from across the room brings Tom Paris to my attention, he probably just told a joke because only Harry is laughing. Turning to face the window to gaze at the vaporous nebula, wondering what wonders, or dangers we're going to face. Thinking to myself, "Can't wait to introduce my family to my family back on Earth." And returning to work. In the real world too, I'm just procrastinating.
I love this. The conversations aren't over powering like in some ambiences of this type. There is also dialogue from the show worked in, which is cool. I feel like a crewman quietly snoozing in the corner after a day of Tuvok giving me shit for the lacklustre report on the retro-thrusters.
I fall asleep to this every night. There's just something so warm and comforting about it. I especially love Neelixs warm welcome in the beginning. Keep up the great work! P. S. I think Voyagers sick bay would also make a great soundscape
Absolutely love all of your Voyager ambiance uploads, this one and the bridge are my favorites! I always focus more with your ambiance uploads from Voyager. Thanks for helping me be more productive! I love feeling like I'm working on an assignment for Captain Janeway in the mess hall
I love these Star Trek ambience videos! Could you do one with a shuttlecraft or runabout? Or even the DS9 Defiant would be great. Thanks for your videos and keep up the great work!
How many of us wouldn't jump at the chance to live in that universe, given the opportunity? Despite their hardships, I envy the close knit family they became. I am not close to my family, and I have never been good at making friends. I feel out of place in the real world, and I would fit in on this ship in a heartbeat.
@@abdicolestudios8899Oh, Kes is hot, but I like his Klingon girlfriend much better (sorry, I don't remember her name). Anyway, Neelix is quite a one with the ladies. Tom Paris has nothing on him.
It always amused me that this was previously the Captains' personal dining room. I know that Rank Hath Its' Privilege, but on a small(ish) ship like Voyager, it seemed a bit much.
I really enjoy using these ship sounds for ambience during my work day. Now that I've spent a lot of hours on this video and many others I hear a popping sound during this track and it's driving me nuts. I wonder if it's my hardware since nobody else mentions it in these comments. I really enjoy ender4life, otherwise. There's only one video that does not have popping; and now it's the only one I listen to. That video is the USS Enterprise Bridge Ambience 8 Hours. I hope that there is some sort of remedy... Also I hope that this really isn't bothering anyone but me :). Thank you for all the hard work you do to create these ambient vids.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, *what?* If I listen to this via my phone or earbuds, the mess hall is full of life and friends and conversation. But if I connect to my Bluetooth speaker, the ship is suddenly a deserted, ghostly United Federation USS Marie Celeste or Ourang Medan. Not a single soul aboard. 😰 What in the Spooky Q, man. That's trippy. Freaking cool way to set up a gnarly dream, though. 😁
This is actually sad, because when I sleep on the couch in my living room (rarely) and play this video on my TV, I also hear all the conversations and it makes this so much cozier, yet when I sleep in my bedroom with my computer speakers on, I hear nothing but a hum from the spaceship.
Thomas Rairigh, Florio I take .avi video files of the episodes, convert to .mp3, cut out the audio clips I need, loop if necessary in audacity and/or try to remove unwanted noise and drop them into GarageBand, layer layer layer: boom you have an ambience track (20 hours later)
It's missing the annoying constant talking of Neelix. The sound of crew members throwing up and the sound of plates being thrown back at Neelix. Otherwise it's pretty good.

I imagine this is how Tuvok hears the mess hall as he is in the far corner eating by himself
You wanna explain what corners is
wait Tuvok fell asleep on the bridge not in the mess hall

Love it when Neelix chimes in, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!
It probably means you are an alien. Live long and prosper.

@@ender4life So glad to hear that! Thank you! Looking forward to it
I just started re-binging Voyager this weekend, and I'm watching an episode literally right now before heading to bed. This is perfect, thank you 👌
I just watch the series from start to finish and then start it again... I have a problem.
Always a pleasure to run the series again tos, tng, ds9,voy, ent, and even std

I keep having accidental naps.
Wonderful work!

I listen to this at least one night a week. Love it
Thanks! It’s one of my favs too :)
Thank you. I needed something to help me relax after hurricane Michael. This takes the edge of the day and I can sleep. Bless you !
There's something about this particular comp that I keep coming back to enjoy. Thanks for making and sharing this one, Ender.

Neelix, Tom and Harry at the bar with Tuvok, 7 and the Captain sitting at the tables. Iola, Samantha a few other crew members amongst them.

The sound of cooking (sizzling sounds) in this video?
