One thing self weight isnot assigned in ETABS, because the software has all the information to assign the Deas Load or Self Weight or Permanent Load G. Only the superimposed loads like wall load, finishing load, etc. are assigned. Keep it up!

I am facing a problem in designing a model. My beams are crossing the slab, which results in, that beam did not get the load of slab. Kindly Guide me in this issue.
Dead load is the self-weight of the structural members and super dead loads are like partition wall load, main wall load, and so on. All dead weights will come under super dead load other than the self-weight of the structural members.
@@CivilEngineeringMastery Here we need to deduct the Beam depth while ccalculating the load on Main wall.?? It shoud be 3m - Beam depth *Desnsity.. Is it correct ??
Self-weight, wall load, partition wall load all are dead loads only. We have to define all the dead loads and assign them to the corresponding structural members. If we only define the load there will not be any action of that load on the structure. Self-weight is assigned to joints. Hope this helps.
So informative this video ma'am. Please keep uploading these kind of videos.

This video is so informative 👏 thanks mam from Africa Ethiopia.
You are most welcome.

You are right, ETABS automatically calculates self-weight.
Good teach maam
thank you...you explain it very well.

Live load your are take 2kN only or we can multiply by area of the building
No. live load is 2 kN/m2.
@@CivilEngineeringMastery Note your also mentioned per m2 so we can multiply the area of the slab
Dd = L *B * 2
yes. you will get the load in kN.
How we can get back the simila/one/ all sorty tab?
Right side corner down you have the tab to access the similar/one/ all sorty tab?
how to download the software
Difference between dead & Super dead???
Dead load is the self-weight of the structural members and super dead loads are like partition wall load, main wall load, and so on.
All dead weights will come under super dead load other than the self-weight of the structural members.

Yes correct.
why dead load is assigned to joints dead load is already defined
Self-weight, wall load, partition wall load all are dead loads only.
We have to define all the dead loads and assign them to the corresponding structural members. If we only define the load there will not be any action of that load on the structure.
