This is great
Really applaudable effort from you for new civil engineers like us

The calculations are simple and straight to the point.
Thanks eng.
great dear engineer

Why self weight of column was not factored? (Like 13.11 x 1.5)
Self weight of plinth beam =.3 *.6*25 *9 meter, you took it as. 3*.3*25*9
Sir I think interior column the load should be maximum , for side column the load lesser than interior column and for corner column the load minimum as compared to interior column.
same thought. but still thanks to sir for a very helpful academic tutorial and sharing of knowledge.
You have made me think why I didn't take engineering
I got confused: how do we get wall load(primary) in load transferring from roof to 1st floor? There is only parapet wall as a boundary, isn’t it? Could you explain this?
Wall load of 2nd story.... Parapet wall will not be considered in interior columns
I am civil engineering jts school lawspet civil engineering padekeran
Can you do the column moment calculation
Your efforts are Really appritiated. Thank you for a very easy and straight explaination !
The excellent clear calculation any student can easily learn 👌 try to give more knowledge of civil engg,, thank you 👍
I wish I had this when studying
I do appreciate your sharing of this precious lecture..thanks
So nice of you
excellent column 6 specific area load calculation but as i understand this load on column 6 from roof , then 1st floor then is for specific area surrounding the Column 6 #
Many thanks...
Really helpful video. Thank you🙌
Helpful and handy,
Nice video thanks
Thank you very much for your helpful information,
Is there an earthquake load in the calculations you made in this video?
Thanks
Hakan
Where did u put the self weight of the GROUND FLOOR?
Helo sir... Total load on C6 = 915KN and SBC of soil = 150KN/m2... Is it safe?
Why not include here GF slab weight?
Am wondering the same if the GF slab rests on the beams below it then it transfers loads to C6 as well no?
About all total Factored load, how to know that must be Times to 1.5?
What about software sir is acces free or not or without software how we can learn
Really I'm 1st time appreciating for structure even not in clg. Lovely 100% satisfied
You are very hepful to many. Be Blessed
Thank you for this video this is nice and detailed.
there is a mistake on beam load secondary, factor. self wt = 1.93, and length of secon. beam is 3. you did its half. it is already you took 3, then why again its half ?
Load of 3m portion of B13 will be transfered to B9 as point load and only half of this point load will be transfered to Column 6. Rest of it will be transfered to C7.
Sir what in case a point load is acting at a distance from column
Sir you are too much but what is plinth beam
Thalaiva super thalaiva super thalaiva❤
Residential LL 2 kn per Sq m
Could you explain columns #5 and #6 axis ?
Have you used any eurocodes?
How to calculate coner column C5?
Thank you Sir for this video of yours. But i will like to know, why is there no slab load and wall load transfered from the ground floor to the footing?
Slab of the ground floor usually rests on ground, so there is not any need to consider it unless it is a hollow slab as in case of a basement.... Then you can consider it too.....Wall load, I have already considered while calculating the load transferred from 1st floor to Plinth.
Great! & Thanks.
Sir in this case for effective length for column, which case is applicable.
Held in position at both end
And not restrain against rotation
Correct?
Held in position and restrained against rotation at both ends (fixed at both the ends).... Leff = 0.65L
@@CivilTutor thanks
this calculation is for ground, 1st or 2nd floor?
4:57 why 1/2 multiple by 3m, 3m is already half of the secondary beam 6m
Secondary beam connected by c6 and c7,half of that load comes to c6 another half comes to c7
half of the secondary beam section is for C6 the other half is for C7.
Thank you so much sir
Pls make video on design of column.
very clear and straight to the point.
Thank you so much
