The differance between the mad r and mad r major is sensor. The mad r uses a last gen 3395, and the mad r major uses a 3950. both go up to 8k polling and have the same size battery.

its crazy if they fit a 500mah battery in this thing since the sorav2 at 40 grams has 250mah i hope when they revise this mouse that they move more things off the mouse and just put them on the dongle to reduce weight (light indicator on the left that you would never see, power button, maybe an option for a lightweight base) , it would also be cool to see them make a dongle with all the things on the mouse but with a screen like some companies are doing (purchased separately or maybe in a bundle)

I'm planning to buy the mad r since I'm entitled for a half refund on my r1 pro for its squeaky m1 (which I fixed with lube). If I'm not entitled to one, I would just stick to my r1 pro. It's good enough

The dongle that the mouse comes with is the only dongle that would work for that mouse. so if you get the 1k, you can't upgrade to the 8k dongle in the future.

A potential issue with an 8K dongle where pressing firmly at a specific spot near the rear bottom (opposite the "mad 8k" print) generates a popping sound. This could be related to the internal components shifting or reacting to pressure in that area.
Another extremely light wireless mouse? I can't be the only one that doesn't like this current trend. My current mouse is a no name budget mouse but it started giving issues so I plan to upgrade to a Razer Basilisk V3 which is wired and weights 101g. For me weight equals quality and these extremely light mice don't fill me with confidence that they are high quality.
Don’t know what leads you to say that…worse sensor by multiple generations, nearly double weight, 1k max polling, no web software have to use ghub, loose battery issue - coming from a GPX 1 owner there’s just pretty much 0 advantage it has minus if you prefer the shape, which is completely preference.

@@user-j9ki7r 'it's chinese but it's not garbage, i used many big branded mouses like the Superlight, NP-01s, DA V3 pro, etc and also alot of chinese mouses, my VGN F1 promax i bought 1 year ago still perform extremely well unlike my superlight 1 has double clicked after 5 months of use with the same intesity and it has some stains although i clean it with dry towel after every time i use it. Chinese mouses are getting better and better

Using a VXE R1 SE+ rn at 55g, and I already thought it was pretty light😳. VXE making some banger after another.
Using an R1 Pro with a modded bottom plate and battery and I'm still at 43g. It's crazy that they made it even lighter without any holes.
