I love the way a v-12 old and new turns over.
I guess there weren't hair cutters in the 90's...
Thank's man. Nice quality.
Hello everyone who's watching in 2020 just after the seventh editions has just been released
Pleasantly surprised to hear Chris Issacs here!
One of the best S Class of all the time
every s class was one of the best s classes of all time...
g1122123 maybe yes but i find the w126, this S Class and the w220 from 98-05 are the best
RAP1073 hell no! the w220 s class was one of the worst mercedes benz at that time! the design and interior was ugly!!!! w221 had some dignity into it. the w222 redeemed itself! w223? lets find out!
Electric seats and recliners way back is very impressive.. Merc rocks
“S-CLASS... THE KING OF DEPRECIATION”
Can you imagine paying 85k for that now! 😂
It's even crazier than that. 1 GBP was about 1.7 USD back in 1991. That means this car was $144,500 in 1991 dollars. Factor in inflation and you were looking at a $276,000 car. That's Bentley and baby Rolls territory. A 2020 Mercedes-Maybach S650 is only $205,000 loaded.
@@jeffy210 Conversion actually matches actual price in USA w/luxury tax from October 1991 launch. W126 buyers ended up either jumping ship, downgrading to W124, or making the jump. W140 became the car for oligarchs and entertainers, due to the extreme expense.
Season 14?? This was filmed over 20 years ago! When did Top Gear first come out?
This episode was filmed in 1991 and was from 'old' top gear, which ran from 1977 to 2001. Then they rebooted the series in 2002 with Hammond, Clarkson and some other dude with may coming the second season.
“So ladies, [‘yeah!’] ladies, [‘yeah!’] you wanna roll my Mercedes?” - Sir Mix-a-Lot was definitely rapping about one of these...☝️
Whatching this 10 years later from 20 years ago 🤷♂️
Not wrong & yes it might cost a bit but with a Merc there is a special connection between the owner & car itself ,4 example on my S500 the ac control unit broke,a new one costs aprox $700 , without hesitation I installed a new one meanwhile in one of my utes the heater control stopt ,aprox $200 ,I never replaced that yet ,that was about 6 month ago .
A Merc is like a 2nd wife girlfriend ,if you look after it,it will reward you on the road, specially an S class MB.
Did this make any sense to you?
even in 2013, I still want one of these
Hello I am from 2020
I have the same car, i would never buy another car, this is my baby, still look amazing, the last good car from MB.
Christian Hernandez not quite the last great car from MB but it is lovely isn't it
That car looks ugly as fuck
I have the 2003 S-Class 500 and I have the E350 2012 top of the line diesel, my S class is still sexier and more pleasure to ride I can’t get enough of it I just wish I had unlimited fuel
my Father owns White S320 from 2012 and still luxury and bright until Today 💜 I love it
He not only choose a German car, have chosen also a German haircut, the Pudel curly style, clever and approved by the Germans ,cheers from Berlin Germany 🇩🇪
Legends say the Chauffeur is still waiting with the newspaper for him to come back.
The 126 was much better shape to be honest .
+joetake holly The 126 still looks modern today which is incredible seeing it was designed in the late 1970's. But the 140 has also aged very well.
fiat 126? are you crazy???
lol a w126 merc I mean s class
the w126 was out in 1979 to bout 1991 .
so which model do you have ?and which is your favourite model ?
My father had one from 1992 to 2002 as an 420SEL.
Was e real tank, 360.000km without any problems.
Princess Diana liked the S-Class :-)
Ooooohhhh ;)
She also died in an S-Class
Really?! Gosh I had no idea! *facepalm"
Zero Ninety Nah she just rode in one that was owed by the hotel.
***** I was making tasteless joke about her dying in an s-class. Why is that so hard for some people to comprehend?
Wow... such a cool old car.
i dear you people to find a better car review!
Probably the best S-class for me.Such presence especially in black. The best mafia and G car ever made.
This car is a beast
