don’t let all these reviews make your brain scramble. i just got the 65” for my living room in my new house and i couldn’t be happier with it. if you’re on a budget and want to spend less than $1k, this is probably your best bet. it was super easy to set up and it’s very easy to navigate like all the previous models. for all the people who have complained about dark spots in the corners, i’m gonna go on a limb and say you may have not handled it with the best care when setting it up. you either grabbed the corners too hard or didn’t grip/hold it in the right spot. i have zero issues with dark spots or any issues what so ever with this tv. i’ve been buying samsung for the last 10 years and i’ve never had a problem with any of them. as usual, this was a great purchase!

In the UK the TU7000 comes in black. Slight lag in the menus, other than that it's perfect. One thing people don't mention Is how fast it reads which input you have and auto names it, aswell as when youre on that input, if the device is off it will power it on for you, amazing. Also its the go to for gamers as It features sub 10 second input lag at around 9.2-9-4 MS. Picture mode is perfect out the box unlike alot of other brands. Picture quality is superb and 4K looks stunning, blacks are true black and in my model there was basically zero light bleed. HDR content is decent but at a peak brightness of 250 nits it's not ideal but still great. Like you said the TU8000 has some extra features but in the UK it's much more expensive so I would recommend the Tu7000.
Hi Steve. First time watching you and new subscriber now. Just purchased my Samsung Crystal UHD 8000. This TV is intimidating, until I just ran across your videos while searching for help. Man! You helped me out a lot and I love how knowledgeable you are and yet you explained things so simply. please, keep them coming!
I'd also recommend this model as a monitor for a PC/Mac too, I sit roughly 20" from mine and find it very crisp and clear, and the model here in Australia has 2 x 20W speakers, such a huge difference when listening to music or just watching some TV. A great review.
@Rob M I've been using iMacs with 5K screens for the last 10 years, and I knew this would be a little lower resolution, but to be perfectly honest, sure the text isn't as crisp as on 5K display, but my TV is a good 20" from me and it looks almost as good. As far as upscaling goes, it depends on what you're watching and if your games support 4K. Most important thing is when you connect a PC to it, make sure that you set the input to "Input Signal Plus" and set it as "PC" and you'll get 60hz at 4K. I've also found setting the display to "Dynamic" gives better colours than just leaving it on "normal". After all is said and done, I'm more than impressed with the TU8000, and with the 20w speakers, it makes a huge difference. I currently have the 43", I'm seriously considering going up to a 55" Samsung QLED in the next few months. It will be a super upgrade to your system. Hope this helps. Ask any other questions. Cheers, Dean - Make sure you get a HDMI 2.0 cable, most important thing.
@@dancerehab1092 I haven't used a Hisense or TCL ... but have used a 2020 LG UN7300, the Samsung wins hands down, it's a little easier to set up as a monitor ... on the LG, you have to go to the "home screen", and set your TV as a PC in the HDMI options, something that should be in the normal "settings", if you don't, you won't get 4.4.4. chroma and fonts will look really nasty as well as really bad lag on your mouse and keyboard.

If I could say anything about the whole package I would say the remote could be better and and controlling it in general could be better. That could just be me because when I learn new technologies they become extinct and I have to start over like a newbie...drives me nuts.

Thank you for this review! I am planning to buy a 43 inch Tu8000 by next week. I am torn between TU 8000 and LG 43UN7200.. Which one do you prefer? Thank you
Thanks for the great review, however I wish to correct you on the statement of the 60Hz USA model vs. 50Hz Europe model. Even though mains power indeed does run at 50Hz, the link between that and TVs refresh rate is long gone. Modern LCD TVs run at 60Hz in Europe as well.

I’m sitting here with a smart hub remote and i hate this interface so much i never wanted a Samsung again. So glad to see they use a better software. I bought a 400 dollar 1080 p tv when 4 k was out but had no knowledge of it until now. I’ll never make that mistake again lol
How will the picture look on both TVs rendering 1080p cable connection for daily tv viewing? Will it look at least as good as a 1080p tvs picture? Or will it look blotchy/grainy?
This TV has all kinds of problems. Dead pixels as well as pixels freezing in a certain color like red and then not going away, backlight bleeding all around the edges, very slow menu which at times freezes. I bought this TV from best buy twice and both times the TV had a problem. The first time I bought it it had horrible backlight bleeding. So I exchanged it for another one and the second one I had pixels that were frozen red all over the bottom half of the screen. I would recommend saving up a few more dollars and instead getting the QLED Q60T, QN43Q60T. That's what I have now and it's great.

What a great review, (you need to give yourself a big pat on the back!), really stands out as a very friendly easy to follow and informative review which is spot on for the folks deliberating which model would be the best product to suit our requirements.
Well done, you have another subscriber based on merit.
Thanks Mucky, I really appreciate your comment. 👍🏽
It takes serious balls to give a verdict upfront. Bravo sir.
Thank you. You helped me decide to go with the 7000. I’m not a gamer. Joined your channel.
You should be a Gamer....
Buy a PlayStation 5
U also picked the wrong one
I'm a casual gamer but I like the price of the 7000 so I'm probably going to get that one.
Ordered from Best Buy off the strength of this review. Thank you for it.
Great review! I have the TU7000 for my living room, I'm buying the TU8000 for my man cave.
I just bought this TV literally for the PS5
How is it? Thinking of purchasing it myself
@@grandmastagrimm8773 Love it. Worth the money
@@TafTabTah how much was it? Do you recommend purchasing one now or wait until Black Friday?
@@danielmorin9272 After taxes it was around $600. Best Buy has a sale going on for it. And I believe Target has a sell going on for the 7 series
@@TafTabTah does it support hdmi 2.1 ?
Just picked it up after my Vizio randomly stopped working and this TV is dope. Almost everything about it to me seems premium in terms of the quality. I just know the difference between the 43” that I have and the QLED TV that’s like over a grand.
Thank you my good friend! I was looking to buy a tv as a gift to my Mother. Thanks to you I've found it! Cheers my friend!
Thank you for being so thorough.😉
I got the TU8000 in a 75" on Black Friday. I made the mistake of going into Best Buy to pick it up and saw the 85" QLED on display. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but oh my goodness!😫
Is there 4k upscaling ? And what is the picture quality difference between the 8000 and 7000 series?
Best well spoken review I've seen on any product. Good job, I just ordered the 8000. Thanks
Thanks Kross
you're actually goated, Steve! I just bought this and was looking for reviews, this is by far the best video I've seen. Thank you!
I just got this in a 50inch, definitely overwhelmed by the interface. Now just gotta set it up the best way it suits me.
Is this tv 30 fps or 60 fps?
60
I cannot wait to connect this beast with PS5 when it's out! Thanks for nice review Steve, peace! :)
Same want to buy one to hook up with my Ps5
Is it good with the ps5? I’m thinking about buying it .
@@AmanKhan-qe3mo I’m still running PS4 Pro on it, as we are out of PS5 in whole Europe, I have pre-ordered PS5 few months ago and should receive it in the first half of Feb. I love this TV it is really amazing and gaming is incredible and smooth, I really recommend it especially for it’s price and size - of course it is not the best telly out there but it does the job as you would expect, you won’t be disappointed. I’m also pretty curious if the difference between PS4 Pro and PS5 will be so huge on the telly. Hope this helps buddy. Stay safe!
Does it smooth out games though? My brother has a LG UDH TV and I noticed the TV smooths out games really Nicely.
Good I just now bought it I'm upgrading my tv after 14 years
Very detailed description brother keep doing what you’re doing 👌🏽
Steve I’m which tv would you recommend for gaming the 7000 or 8000? And occasionally streaming Netflix etc. thanks for the awesome reviews
It the same screen
Just got this tv and I love it🔥
Thanks for the review purchased this tv and I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. Can't wait to use it on the all new PS5 coming November 12!
How does this TV perform with the PS5?
Great review! Super easy to follow and very detailed, I was looking for a review just like this and you helped so much!
A+++ Thank you, now I know what TV to purchase
Hi Steve
TU8000 or Q60t. ? Please let me know. Which one is the best for gaming and movies.
Thanks
Good for everything! For gaming watching videos, Netflix! The quality is outstanding for the technology we have in current year.
hello steve! wich tv would you recommend me samsung crystal TU700,TU800 or Sony x75k or x85k?
Great review on this tv. Looks like a found my new tv!
Getting it for Christmas. Just saw that it works because wanted to see if it broke or something on the porch and I set it up and it looks great by default. I can't wait to see the 4k
Your videos are answering more and more of my questions, thank you! This is what I'm looking for, just missing the 4K up-scaling feature though. Any alternate Samsung options in around this price range that can do that?
A deal-breaker for sure...what a shame !!!
I bought this Tv..upon watching ur reviews man..keep it up..
😂 7:55 exactly my thoughts, love the honest review
Thanks Darrell
Bought the 65" a week ago and I have 0 regrets at $800 including tax. If I could say anything about the whole package I would say the remote could be better and and controlling it in general could be better. That could just be me because when I learn new technologies they become extinct and I have to start over like a newbie...drives me nuts.
I am a guy who wants to buy a tv mostly for gaming is the tu8000 better than ru7100 in that aspect especially if it has game motion plus feature as you mentioned and if this feature is on is it gonna affect the imput lag?
Hi Steve, I would like to know this as well
Thank you for this review! I am planning to buy a 43 inch Tu8000 by next week. I am torn between TU 8000 and LG 43UN7200.. Which one do you prefer? Thank you
I saw your review and def said, I'm getting it! thank you!
for you sir what will you choose? this one or the qled q60t? i'm planning to buy and i'm confused... btw nice review. very detailed
Q60
Thanks for the great review, however I wish to correct you on the statement of the 60Hz USA model vs. 50Hz Europe model. Even though mains power indeed does run at 50Hz, the link between that and TVs refresh rate is long gone. Modern LCD TVs run at 60Hz in Europe as well.
Can I connect hard wired speakers to this tv? I dont see audio out jacks.
No fiber optic only
@@TechSteve do you know if there is an adapter available somewhere to go from red and white jacks to that?
For analog audio?
Dude you should upgrade your audio device, you need to get one that support bluetooth
Hi Steve
Thanks for the info . I have a TU7000 with black spots on screen from inside so whats ur opinion shall i change the screen or buy a new TU8000
Is it better in a light room I had to give back my nu6900 because in a bright room it looks to dark is that better on the 8000
That's a good question. I believe the 8000 is the same if I remember correctly. At leaste compared to the 7000. I'm not sure about the 6900 though. Didn't see that one under yelp
Thank you for your help, would you recommend this for the PS5?
Any TV will work on that console
Honest and practical review helped me decide to go with the 7000
Hi Bridget, have you received your TU7000 and are you happy with it? I'm comparing the two too.
What 43 inch tv would you recommend that is around this price range?
Tu8500 please. ... :)
Hey Steve! Just got this TV today. Upgraded from a 32 inch Samsung that I had for 6 years to this and I’m loving it so far!
Your review was super helpful to me. Thank you so much.
Happy New Year btw! 👍🏽
Thanks 🙏🏽 Happy New Year AMGamerTV
We just bought the tu8000 75"... love it
Congratulations
Hi Steve, I have two questions for "un75tu8000fxza"
1. Is this TV dual voltage (100-240v 50/60Hz)?
2. Are smart TV features hard coded to US?
Because I will move to UK.
Appreciate your help, thanks.
Sorry I don’t have those answers
Hi steve I’m planing to buy from samsung tu8000 -65” and sony x750h -65” ... which one you suggest...???
Thanks Steve I didn’t think anybody would answer my questions. I am a senior my son just got us a smart TV but I can’t get my Home channels
Home channels?
I’m sitting here with a smart hub remote and i hate this interface so much i never wanted a Samsung again. So glad to see they use a better software. I bought a 400 dollar 1080 p tv when 4 k was out but had no knowledge of it until now. I’ll never make that mistake again lol
How will the picture look on both TVs rendering 1080p cable connection for daily tv viewing? Will it look at least as good as a 1080p tvs picture? Or will it look blotchy/grainy?
Hi, do you think there is a big difference between this one and the QLED? Thanks, greetings from Costa Rica
The qled is better and more expensive
This TV has all kinds of problems. Dead pixels as well as pixels freezing in a certain color like red and then not going away, backlight bleeding all around the edges, very slow menu which at times freezes. I bought this TV from best buy twice and both times the TV had a problem. The first time I bought it it had horrible backlight bleeding. So I exchanged it for another one and the second one I had pixels that were frozen red all over the bottom half of the screen. I would recommend saving up a few more dollars and instead getting the QLED Q60T, QN43Q60T. That's what I have now and it's great.
Hello Steve, What would you prefer SAMSUNG TU8079 or SONY Bravia KD XGH8096? I saw the difference in Refresh rate. Which is best one?
I'm planning on buying this to use with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and this should be a nice tv for those systems
I would go for the Q70T if you want native 120Hz
Hi great review, Im looking to buy this model for a second TV in a separate room to my main TV which is connected to my wifi hub with a cable, Im I right in thinking that I can connect the new TV over the wifi with out a cable all I need is a power outlet?
No, you have to use apps or use the built in Samsung TV internet channel
Mine was delivered yesterday I love it got the 55inch
My old Sony TV finally broke and I found the TU8000 43 inch on amazon on cyber monday for $300. Was worth it!
Same here mind comes in Tuesday really excited
Great explanation of 7000 vs 8000. Also excellent Q&A that I can actually use when buying my next TV. Thanks!
How is the motion for sports? How is the judder for baseball or football? Have a Sony xbr75x850g with a scratched screen. Thinking of getting this as a replacement.
hi great thank you for you work i have a question for you this tv dont have the two option for the movement sentting is correct?i see one setting is motion blur missing?i want buy this tv but i afraid for this what is your advice ? thank :)
For a better gaming and Blu ray 4k experience would you recommend this Samsung tv or the TCL R615 ? I'm on a budget so I'm trying to get the best looking tv for gaming on my PS4 Pro that's like under 700 ( Canadian dollars) or is there a better tv you know with this price .?
I’ve just ordered the new Samsung tu8500, but got to wait 2weeks. looks a good tv in the shops and bright as it has duel leds and view angle looks good and don’t washed out like that tu7100 does.
Hey Steve what are the best settings for this tv? Brightness, color, sharpness ect. All that good stuff?
I don’t have any, I normally just use the factory defaults. Just set it where you like it best.
@@TechSteve thank you for the reply.
Should I upgrade I have a LG 49UJ6300?? Is there a big difference
