I think this is the only gyro that uses a precision bearing cartridge (which is ideal). Is it noticeably smoother? The Odyssey GTX-S uses loose ball bearings behind the rubber seal, and not a precision bearing. But this Shadow model requires a proprietary, wider top plate, because the detangler is a bit wide --- any idea how much wider it is?

Why would you cut the cable? It doesn't take long to just loosen it up and remove it.
Do they make a piece for the bott if you don't have tabs?
How much the inner diammeter is? typical odissey is 1'' 13/16 wide......
