- Dam from Goldeneye 007, remastered to CD quality, using the original synth and sample sources!
This remaster comes by way of Elite! Following up his work on Conker, Elite has delivered an exceptional remaster for this classic theme that I am sure will please many. This theme was already awesome as, but hearing remastered makes it even better, I feel. Seriously, I get a good feeling you are gonna like this one. Many thanks again goes to Elite for allowing me to share his work on the channel!

Special thanks also goes towards Mikantsumikiwi! Thanks to them, we managed to get recordings of Proteus FX sounds we otherwise didn't have. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have been able to complete this remaster. They also emailed Graeme Norgate to find out they used a Yamaha SY-77, Ensoniq TS12, and AKAI S3000 during the production of GoldenEye 007, which has been helpful in finding sounds like the Marimba.

Special thanks for this track in particular goes to Senn! For a while now, we were unable to consider this track final, due to a missing Tom sound, but thanks to his magic-like audio editing skills, he got the in-game Tom sample sounding much better, and in a state usable for for the song. Seriously, thank you so much, Senn. I was really bummed that we couldn't finish this track in full, but now we can, and I am more than happy.

I can still hear the sounds of the silenced pp7 firing and enemies getting hit. Every part of this level is seared into my brain and it all comes flooding back when I listen to the music

Those chimes man - gives me chills to this day. The bass chord progression just keeps this tune driving all the way to the end.
This is beautiful. It's so clean and clear. Like a filter was lifted out of the way. I've heard the official uncompressed tracks, but not of Dam. This is the next best thing.
only some tracks got hq demos made, and those are the ones that got released
the rest were only directly made for the n64

I love it all. But I like the xylophone in the compressed version more. It just sounded more mysterious and echoey, matching the giant dam canyon feel bigger.

We were lucky enough to have Senn edit the in game tom sample to sound much better. It's thanks to him this song is complete now. :D

It’s hard to find the full track where the music gets faster at the end.
Great improvement. The only objective from my side is that the electric guitar sequence (1:53 - 1:59 and similar) still sounds better on N64.

For the Tom you maybe want to look for E-MU Emax samples or some Roland SC-88/SC8850/JV1080

Are these taken from the 360 port ?
the 360 port does not have high quality music. it's simply recorded from the original game. This here is the source samples in high quality. done via DAW and Kontakt 5

@@alejandrovelez6358 We don't include the sound effects and voice clips. but i think the sfx in that goldeneye archive are included in that leak. not sure about the vcs though

the level is called dam when it shud be called dam this level sucks
dam isnt a bad level. its the first level of the game it throws everything it can at you. and its better on 00 agent.
