- The James Bond theme from Goldeneye 007, remastered to CD quality, using the original synth and sample sources!
This remaster comes by way of Elite! Following up his work on Conker, Elite has delivered an exceptional remaster for this classic theme that I am sure will please many. This theme was already awesome as, but hearing remastered makes it even better, I feel. Seriously, I get a good feeling you are gonna like this one. Many thanks again goes to Elite for allowing me to share his work on the channel!
If you like what you have heard here, why not check out Elite's UA-cam channel?: / @elitessymphonies
Or perhaps even his Twitter?: / jackofallasses1
Special thanks also goes towards Mikantsumikiwi! Thanks to them, we managed to get recordings of Proteus FX sounds we otherwise didn't have. If it weren't for them, we wouldn't have been able to complete this remaster. They also emailed Graeme Norgate to find out they used a Yamaha SY-77, Ensoniq TS12, and AKAI S3000 during the production of GoldenEye 007, which has been helpful in finding sounds like the Marimba.

Even more special thanks goes to Chimeratio, for providing the Marimba sound we are using for this project, from his Yamaha SY-77.

24 years later and I still see a stretched mouth.
Couldn’t they have used a different photo for him?
Now I see it too 😂
He's part-monkey. It's from the one James Bond movie where he got caught in the Russian experiment where they were making monkey supersoldiers out of orangutan DNA and he walked into the weird laser thing turning people into part monkey and he spent the whole movie trying to get a cure for the transformation process. They accidentally used a photo from that and put it on the cover of this game
I have never seen this before and now I will never be the same
26 years and I never seen that’s till now
Every time I click on the notifications for these I forget to check who posted it and I end up in this terrifying state of not knowing if it was SiIvaGunner or not.
SilvaGunner is a legend!

The N64 used discs instead of cartridges and defeated Sony.
Oh man, you have no idea how much I wished that facility was among those "leaked" uncompressed songs release years ago. I hope it to hear it soon
@@ChurchofKondoh Apparently the composer released them on his website, then years later they became famous once people uploaded them to UA-cam and said they were leaked. That's why "leaked".
Another absolute BANGER that really benefits from the reduction in compression here! Glad Kirkhope released what he did, bet that made this easier!
when i heard the orchestra hit i had the wind knocked out of me hard enough that I got lightheaded
That might’ve been Bond himself. ;)
This is incredible. That is way too much better than the original, but i like both
I'm happy you guys are moving on to Goldeneye! But I got a question. The guitars in the 007 soundtrack weren't sampled, right? Because if it wasn't he played the riff spot on.
The guitar here is not sampled, it's done in house/in studio By Grant Kirkhope himself, the guitar is in hq because of an old sample pack that leaked quite a long time ago, it holds most of the sfx and samples for Goldeneye 007, That's how this restoration was possible.
@@ElitesSymphonies Oh ok that makes sense. I just heard they weren't sampled so I thought you played it. Had no idea it was leaked. Great Job either way!
@@ElitesSymphonies Major kudos, this remaster is perfect!
@@SynaMax :D
@@ElitesSymphonies I wish I knew where this pack leaked!
Wow. Amazing. This has always been one of my favorite N64 songs and I still think the best 007 theme.
Love it, man. I still have my original game with the box, instructions and cardboard insert.
For the longest time i looked for a gun called the spyder because the back showed this gun. Turns out the spyder was slightly edited and became the klobb.
IT'S OFFICIAL! GOLDENEYE IS BEING RELEASED AGAIN!
Oh goddamn! Welp, I can also confirm another Bond game is being made that will apparently come out in 2023-2025.
@@thirdanimator3347GoldenEye 007 REMAKE?
This is a pleasure to listen to really.
I've never really thought I'd be so happy to hear a remaster of this, but I'm glad it exists now. 👌
I remember playing this game on release day and holy hell it was epic. Hearing this music as a 3D Pierce Brosnan walked across the screen was mind blowing - listening to this now without the compression is magical! Thank you!
Fire! I can't wait for more Goldeneye goodness!
Sounds pretty nice.
I'm waiting for the pause menu theme remastered.
I can’t unsee his hand as part of his face
None of us can.
I'm probably one of very few who never saw his hard as part of his face.
When you finally get the water out of your ear:
This music SLAPS to the point where my head bops to the beat
My friends, it just keeps happening. A great job has been done here.
please post the other tracks from the game. You are doing a great job!
I love this game's intro so much.
God, I just... Every time!!!
Sounds amazing!
Dude once again nice job!!!!!
I love this especially the beggining
FRIDAY BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
This will be interesting to compare remastered tracks with the released, pre-compression, ones like Cradle.
Oh man, of MAAAN, if we ever get Antenna Cradle...
OH MY GOD THE EARWAX IS CLEAR FROM MY EARS
Awesome! I remember that one of the original composers did a thing on UA-cam, releasing some music uncompressed, i dunno if the theme is among the releases tho
I think you are talking about the Pre-console mixes that were uploaded a while back? Not sure.
my favorite Game
I started to learn guitar because of this video specifically. Thank you. Listen to that kickass shit.
I would love to see something like that, but with Unreal or Deus Ex soundtrack, since it also uses samples and synths. But I think its gonna be hard to track down every sample and recreate the synths (unless if Alexander Brandon, Andrew Sega and Michiel van den Bos remembers which samples they were using)
Still my favorite and most played shooter of all time.
God this slaps
HOLY CRAP
ah heeeeelll yes, this is awesome
I’m so happy
Wish this came out a month ago so I could’ve used it in my goldeneye retrospective
Aw hell yeah goldeneye 007 rocks.
Well, technically you could say it's *metal*
that _riff_
You are also everywhere too?
@@TrekDelta i wouldn't say _everywhere_
@@TorutheRedFox Yeah but, Windows Xp.
Finger hand mouth in high quality, nice
Is it just me, or do the guitar riffs at 1:15 sound just like the ones for the Skate or Die 2 theme?
here we go lmao
this is fucking niiiiiiiiice.
I've been waiting for this. Will Elite be doing more from this game?
You bet i am. :)
@@ElitesSymphonies Okay, further question. If you're doing the music of the stages, will you also be doing the extra tracks like Facility X, Cradle X, etc?
@@ElitesSymphonies Thank you so much!
@@josh07698 Perhaps, It's only a matter of time. i'm doing the soundtrack in order of how it's presented here: ua-cam.com/play/PL8662AEB50E84F131.html
@@ElitesSymphonies Where is the Orchestra hit from? I cant find it in any of the cards> is it from ensoniq TS12?
Have y'all thought about remastering the soundtrack to Command & Conquer 64? I'm pretty sure the composer Frank Klepacki would be more than willing to disclose what samples he used
What is that repeated chord that plays in the first few seconds?
I have the original samples and I even have the original guitar samples. Contact me if you want to do a faithful remaster of GE's intro music.
awooga
Show
Honestly, I'll bet if you had just asked Grant Kirkhope he'd have sent you his original master
The tracks (other than the early demos he shared on his website) were exclusively produced on the dev kit, so it wouldn't be much of an improvement I think.
@@josh07698 probably were made with higher quality AIFFs that were compressed at build time
@@TorutheRedFox It'd definitely be an improvement for sure , but I find it extremely doubtful it'd sound as clear as it would here. I'd imagine it would sound close to what "Video-Game OST HQ" does.
@@josh07698 the uncompressed, raw aiffs for N64 games sound pretty clear imo
hey you said the dam theme was next, this is the kind of lies i can tolerate, ok?
oh nevermind this was uploaded before, i just got a notification for whatever reason, carry on
