Good stuff, James, but could we have more B-roll, showing you using the kit, and the kind of setups you'd use it in, rather than just talking head of you showing it to us, but not actually using it? Please?

Hi Amanda, I feel the same. I wish I had time to fully flesh out this video this week. But my paying cinematographer job absorbed all my time this week.
This channel is actually a challenge to myself to release a video each week no matter what. So I had to put out a video this week to not fail my self challenge.
Is there any stand type(s) in particular I mentioned that you wanted more info on? I could do a video specific to that type of stand(s).

It's surprisingly challenging to keep up with a schedule - especially when you have other work on the go, eh? And I do understand - slotting in B-roll takes up so much time. Even if you have it shot already, it takes time to find it and cut it in. And when WE'RE the one with the camera, no-one hands us footage of ourselves at work, or handling bits of kit.
I guess the thing might be to get half a dozen or so videos in the can, so that if a busy couple of weeks come up, you already have some you prepared earlier to post. But to do that, you need a quiet couple of weeks, which (if you like eating, being solvent, etc) isn't a good thing.
Thanks for the offer, but I'm good on stands! C-stands in particular seem to have been done a gajillion times in UA-cam vids.

@@AmandaProsser Yeah tough to do a weekly release amongst working fulltime delivering about 7 videos a week for clients and taking care of family. I luckily as you recommended, have about 12 video PTC's shot. But its just finding time in a week that I am not working on client work or spending time with the family to cut them together and quickly cobble together some overlay footage that looks halfway presentable.
Yeah not much in gear that hasnt had a million videos on UA-cam made about it at this point. I just do this for a bit of a "learning to talk/teach on camera" challenge rather than breaking any new content ground. The more videos I do the faster I make all the mistakes, the faster I get better at being on the other side of the camera.

Thanks for the information! I liked seeing someone go through it all. From dirtcheap to kupo!
    Good stuff👍

What brand was the larger reverse stand?

Ah I wish I could tell you. I bought it a long time ago and the brand and model name has rubbed off each stand from use.
From memory it had photo in the name, maybe photix or photox. But I just had a look at their one and its not the same.
My recommendation would be Benro MeVideo CF stand. I havent used it, but based off it has nice thick legs and column it should be very similar in use to my larger reverse leg stands.
