I love how people start off, casually treating the band like background music, talking, laughing, ignoring the band...then Kingfish starts to rip into these epic solos and one by one they stop talking to each other and literally stay focused on him for the rest of the set. That's not just talent it's a super power, this kid commands the stage and demands to be heard....a living legend already.
I was just thinking he same exact thing, looking at the people not paying attention and wondering how on earth they could not and then slowly but surely, he got them!
My wife and I saw him live in Austin, he's unbelievable. I've seen a lot concerts and living legends (Patti LaBelle, EW&F, Luther Vandross, Aerosmith, etc.) but he was the best I've seen so far. And he's a fellow Mississippian which makes it extra special for me. Keep killing'em Kingfish!
I just want to add my 2 cents. I got a chance to see Chistone twice before the Pandemic, Brooklyn and Philly. Brooklyn kicked Ass like you read about but what you don't see in this video is the rest of the band . The bass player and drummer fuckin nail it to the floor Kingfish is on a mission. I can-not wait to see these guys again and again. I'm dun.......

He's a phenomenal fuckin' guitar player and he's a purveyor of the blues. As a bluesman and purist myself, it makes me very happy to see and hear this young Black man keeping our tradition and culture alive! May the blues gods bless Christone "KINGFISH" Ingram!

I keep playing this video, because Kingfish blows all the shredders away. He's studied lots of guitar players including jazz and funk stars in an interview I have heard. He's a nice and humble fellow. He won't be playing in this sort of place anymore. He's a star and already among the very best, if not better! His future is bright and I love his playing. True emotion coming out of the guitar. Go Kingfish!!!

Hendrix had bigger hands...n he did alot of bends, so he got away with alot of stuff. It's not a comparison.... Kingfish has a bassline dat is totally different from a traditional blues sound. It's more Gospel
